Ibanez AW54CEOPN Artwood Dreadnought Acoustic/Electric Guitar - Open Pore Natural

Ibanez

Based on 114 reviews Check latest price

Product description

Ibanez created the Artwood Series to be an ode to their rich tradition of acoustic guitars while adding the modern accoutrements needed by today's guitarist. The AW54CEOPN is a visual stunner with a solid mahogany top (with mahogany back, sides, and neck) and an open pore natural finish that really shows off the mahogany's beautiful woodgrain. Adding to its aesthetic charm is a black and white multi-rosette, a cutaway that helps you access the entire rosewood fingerboard, a rosewood AW bridge with bone saddle, tortoise pickguard and chrome die-cast Grover tuners. The mahogany construction provides you with plenty of warmth naturally, but when you need to plug in, the AW54CEOPN has a Fishman Sonicore pickup and Ibanez's AEQ210TF preamp that features a simple 2-band control, which makes adjusting the sound easy while providing plenty of bottom. It also has a phase switch for reducing feedback and user-friendly onboard tuner.

  • Dreadnought body with cutaway
  • Solid mahogany top
  • Mahogany back and sides
  • Rosewood bridge and fretboard
  • Ibanez AEQ210TF preamp with onboard tuner

User questions & answers

Question: Where is this made
Answer: Made in China then shipped to Ibanez in Maryland for quality control and then shipped to Eureka Music Center where we go over the guitar again to insure playability and customer satisfaction.
Question: Aside from the cutaway and preamp system, what else am I getting from this guitar when compared to the ibanez aw54 opn
Answer: U GET CUTAWAY, AND ELECTRONICS..otherwise the same
Question: What hard shell case would fit this guitar
Answer: The Ibanez part number for the case is PF50C
Question: Which one is better in your opinion, the mahogany fender cd-60sce or ibanez aw54ceopn
Answer: Don't buy a guitar on amazon unless you have already played it. Go down to a music store with the largest selection of guitars and play them until you find your favorite. Take your smart phone with you and do a price comparison online. Buy from the cheapest source. If you are buying this guitar as a gift bring that person with you to have them try out the guitars. A guitar is a personal thing that you will be using for long hours for many years. You can't just read other people's opinions online. Base your decision on the tone and feel of the guitar. Not the way it looks. Trust me, in time that pretty guitar will start to look very ugly if it hurts your hands or sounds bad.

User questions & answers

Question: Are there pegs to attach a strap to
Answer: I lost my regular black one that my dad gave me. I didn't even consider a different capo. I love the gold color and shimmer, it looks so pretty with my acoustic orange Ibanez!
Question: Can it be used together
Answer: The properties of the pad on the capo are such that this capo is likely to work well with either a six-string acoustic or a six-string electric guitar. The fact is: the difference in radius between most guitar fretboards is very small. There are a few exceptions to this, but if you own one of those guitars you probably already know that using a special capo is preferred. In addition, keep in mind that that capo works by pressing the strings down, not actually making perfect contact with the fretboard. This minimizes the differences even further.
Question: What is the width of the fingerboard at the nut
Answer: I know that this is slightly curved to match the necks of steel string electrics and acoustics, but because of its rubber surgace i think it will do fine. It is more universal than other capos ive used, and i think that for at least most of the neck of a classical it would do what it needs to.
Question: is the back solid or in two pieces
Answer: I bought both the "6 Rosewood Acoustic" and "E Electric Quick Change Capo". The rubber pad is 1/32 (.031") inch longer on the acoustic capo. The spring on the acoustic capo is stronger. The photos look like there is a rubber pad to protect the edge of the fretboard, but there IS NO PAD to protect the eedge of the fretboard. It is a piece of tape. It may provide some protection. The clamp leg could be longer. If you accidentally release before completely on, the end of the clamp leg may press against the neck.

D'Addario Nickel Bronze strings emphasize the natural voice of Thermo Aged wood with incredible clarity, resonance and projection. Artwood Vintage Series The “modern approach to acoustic guitar tradition” has long been Alvarez's catchphrase for the Artwood series. Artwood Vintage steps even further back in history and borrows the best features of highly desired vintage instruments. The Artwood Vintage series now showcases another vintage element by applying an “aging” process to the tonewood —“ Termo Aged “tone wood, made by a special drying process at a high temperature which is commonly known as “baking” or “torrefaction”. Only choice selected and seasoned tone wood can be cured to Thermo Aged wood. The wood is heated in a vacuum with a specific recipe for each kind of the wood in order to release water and decompose resin contained within the wood. As a result, Thermo Aged tone wood becomes light, hard and stable like tone wood dried for decades, while providing amazing response and a louder sound. The tone character includes a full-bodied low-end and a great smooth sustain in the treble strings which are common features of vintage gu...

Ibanez GA35TCEDVS Acoustic/Electric Guitar - Dark Violin Burst

Ibanez

Based on 78 reviews Check latest price

Product description

Slightly smaller and far more slender than a typical acoustic, Ibanez's GA35TCE thinline nylon-string acoustic-electric guitar is a comfortable fit for anyone from flatpickers to finger stylists alike. To give the GA35TCE a clear voice that suits blues and country, rock and pop equally well, Ibanez built this workhorse acoustic guitar with a back and sides made from mahogany. A solid spruce top balances out the GA35TCE's deep and rich low end with an even balance of midrange clarity and high-end sparkle. And to top it all off, you're even ready to take the stage thanks to the GA35TCE's Fishman pickups and AEQ210T preamp/tuner system. The combination Ibanez chose, a spruce top on a mahogany back and sides, has been a favorite among songwriters and live performers since the beginning of modern American music. Together, these tonewoods give the GA35TCE acoustic-electric guitar warm and present lows and clearly defined highs, leaving plenty of space in the midrange for your vocals. Whether you're the humblest of Saturday afternoon porch pickers or the seasoned pro who's been hauled from show to show a time or two, this Ibanez GA35TCE acoustic-electric nylon-string guitar was made for you. Everyone needs an inexpensive acoustic guitar you can pack up, head out, and run off with anytime you need, without worrying about damaging any priceless instruments. But your "beater" guitar doesn't need to sound bad, and the Ibanez GA35TCE is more than proof enough of that. In fact, its natural acoustic sound makes it a great campfire guitar, but it's small enough to be your new favorite couch guitar as well. The built-in AEQ210T preamp (complete with XLR out!) sounds great plugged in, so you'll most likely find yourself holding your new favorite stage guitar too when you take your GA35TCE acoustic-electric on stage!

  • Spruce-topped mahogany
  • Mahogany back and sides

User questions & answers

Question: Is this nylon string
Answer: Yes it is a nylon string guitar, but It's not a traditional classical nylon guitar. It's basically an AEG series steel string acoustic guitar body and neck with a nylon string bridge and headstock. It plays like a steel string acoustic but it has the warmth and playability of nylon strings. It has a narrow n neck with string spacing somewhere between a traditional acoustic and an electric. I love mine! Factory strings were horrible, but I swapped in some D'Addario EJ45 Pro-Arte Normal Tension classical strings and it sounds fantastic. It's a great playing guitar.

Question: Does it have hooks to hang the bass
Answer: No. Why do you want to hang the bass?
Question: Does anyone know a similar price range bass that has a tuner (which works without being plugged in; unlike this one) and 2 strap buttons
Answer: Our model has both strap buttons. Buy from Echo tone Music on last page of twelve sellers. All Acoustic electric guitars and basses have to be plugged in for the tuner to operate. Just get clip on tuner, problem solved.
Question: The description states the size to be 40x5x12. Is the 40 inches the entire length including neck and body
Answer: My guitar measures 40 inches from the bottom of the bridge to the top of the headstock. The overall length of the guitar is 45 inches.
Question: can anyone tell me how loud the bass is? as in if i were to jam with a standard acoustic would i be able to hear the bass at a good volume
Answer: Un-amplified use? The body of this bass is smaller than a dreadnought guitar: lower bout 15 1/4 in., depth 4 1/4 in. The sound volume will be less, A-string and E-string volume is weak.
