User questions & answers

Question: what is the "hook" like thing coming out of the neck of the instrument
Answer: This trumpet is made in China.
Question: Does it come with assembled and ready to play
Answer: The trumpet comes fully assembled in a case. The mouthpiece is with the trumpet, but not inserted. The trumpet comes with valve oil, case, mouthpiece, gloves and cleaning cloth. Everything you need except an instruction book on how to play.
Question: is this a 5 string or 4 string violin
Answer: Yes it has an adjustable finger ring on the slide. It is secured by a screw.
Question: Dose this come with a bow
Answer: This Kaiser trumpet will need work before it will be useable. Best choice would be a Levante trumpet. (Guitar Center) Levante is a significantly lower cost but comparable to Bach trumpets. Kaiser is okay but you'll spend $100 or more making it playable. Levante is what professionals use as a back up to a Bach ($3000+). I am a trumpet player with 30 years experience and also teach advanced trumpet lessons. I had a couple of students with Kaiser trumpets and they had them worked over and still didn't compare to Levante sound or playability.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this come with the fine tuners as shown in the picture
Answer: Yes, and Electric Violin Shop also provides a full setup of the violin for free.
Question: Will this fit in a regular violin case and will a shoulder rest fit on it
Answer: Yes it will fit in a regular 4x4 violin case. Yes, you can use pretty much any normal shoulder rest and chin rest on this instrument. I love mine!
Question: Where can I buy a set of all five violin strings incase I need a new set? I tried browsing but couldn't find all five as a set, only four
Answer: Hi Arnold, the YEV105NT actually comes with a Zyex 4 string composite violin set and a Helicore violin C string, since Zyex doesn't make a violin length C string. However, you can use any violin strings on this instrument (we'd recommend a true violin C string if possible -- Sensicore, Helicore, and NS electrics all make a violin C).
Question: The fifth string is on the low end I assume, making this kind of a violin/viola combo
Answer: Yes, the fifth string is a C, so it covers the pitches CGDAE. The scale length, however, is that of a violin rather than a viola, so it will feel familiar to play if you're a violinist.

User questions & answers

Question: What is the difference between Cecilio cvn-200 and mendini
Answer: Si!.. Se muestra con todos los accesorios. Una pieza 100% original y profesional. Recomiendo el Violín asi como el vendedor 100% 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 Estrellas
Question: Does it come setup
Answer: If you're unsure of how to place the bridge back on, take it to a music shop and they will assist you, music and arts centers will assist you in the store, I've done plenty of those at no cost when I used to work there. There is a certain direction and placing the bridge must sit to be able to sit properly, please seek a professional for instrument care.
Question: The tuning pegs do not stay after adjusting, is this normal
Answer: This product comes with two bridges that are made by the manufacture. No name on the bridges. I bought this product and it is an amazing deal for the quality and tone of the instrument! I suggest buying new strings, the ones that come in this set are cheap and dull sounding! Dominant Strings are suggested by this professional of 20 years!
Question: does this item come with an extra set of strings
Answer: hi Kyle D...no, I thought the violin would look like the picture because the wood looks rich and the violin strings looks like it would have a deep sound to it. However, if you haven't bought the violin yet..good.. I would spend a little more money on a good violin that would last you a long time..my mendini is still in the box oh and the strings on the violin are cheap..thank you for asking I hoped I help :) Deanne allen
Question: Es el primero que se muestra con todos los accesorios o es el naranja de abajo. Precio es profesional
Answer: Only one . easy to use.
Question: My daughter was trying to tune her violin (she's twelve and just starting out) and the bridge fell off. Is it difficult to put back on
Answer: The top button changes the pitch: ie 440 (which is standard pitch) to a faster pitch and turns the tuner off and on. The bottom button changes the instrument to be tuned: violin, viola, cello & base. Hope this helps.
Question: what bridge does this come with
Answer: The clip opens to 1 1/4 inch at the widest. Don't know if that's large enough for your bass.
Question: Does the actual violin that will ship look anything like this
Answer: It responds as quickly as any tuner meaning you can check long notes, but not short ones. However, the center markers for pitch are white with yellow ones on each side which means there's little contrast to see while you're playing. So I think it would be tough to monitor your pitch while playing.

How to choose violin sizes

Violins are available in 8 different sizes: 4/4 (also called full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. Size 4/4 is the biggest and size 1/32 is the smallest. All adults, regardless of their size, use the size 4/4 violin.

To measure what size violin best suits you, you need to know the length between your neck and the middle of your left-hand palm (when your hand is fully extended and raised perpendicular to your body, just like holding a violin). Most of the teachers prefer students to use the length from the neck to the wrist for measurement instead of the neck to mid-palm approach. The violin size determined by the neck/wrist approach would be the size that is more comfortable for students to hold. The violin size determined by the neck/mid-palm approach would be the biggest size students should use. The following table lists the length of each violin size. Find your length using your preferred approach and use that to determine the size of violin to get.

If you have a teacher, you should ask for your teacher's recommendation. If you don't have a teacher, we would recommend using the neck/wrist approach for students not using full size; for students who are deciding whether to used size 3/4 or size 4/4, use the neck/mid-palm approach. This is because it is always better those students feeling comfortable holding and playing the violin. However, while deciding between size 3/4 and size 4/4, if neck/mid-palm approach allows for size 4/4, then buying a size 4/4 is more economical since you don't have to buy another bigger size violin later. This is completely based on economical consideration. You should still decide what best suits your need.

Cecilio CVN-300 Violin

One of our most popular models, the Cecilio CVN-300 is specially crafted to handle all the needs a beginning student could have. With its ebony fingerboard and fittings, beautiful antique varnish finish, and exceptional tone and resonance, the CVN-300 is an effective and capable instrument for any student who is just starting to learn the violin. Emphasizing superior clarity, remarkable responsiveness, and a pleasantly bright and warm tone for a lively yet smooth feel, the Cecilio CVN-300 provides students with a durable and reliable instrument that they can be confident will not hinder their development on the violin.

User questions & answers

Question: can you plug it into a amp because the images do not show a jack
Answer: Yes. There are 3 sockets on the back of violin. One is "Line out" (for amp). One is "Mic" and one is "Phones". The Included cord for the amp is a little over 9 feet and is decent quality. There is no static backround noise and my violin comes in clear. *In the stock photo the amp cable is to the right of the headphones.
Question: How can I plug it to my laptop? There is a chord but it doesn't fit the computer outlet
Answer: It has a quarter inch plug, look for either an A to D connector, or (more easily a rocksmith cable) a USB interface. Electric instruments are almost all the same you'll never have the same sound as an acoustic. But it will give you a unique and interesting sound. Especially at this price point.
Question: how quiet is it? I would be practicing during my toddlers nap time and need it to be very very quiet/silent with out an amp or head phones
Answer: I get about 81 dB playing open strings. It’s not so quiet.
Question: Does the kit come with strings attached or must you string them yourself
Answer: The strings come attached. In fact, as soon as my violin came in, I took it to my local music store (who strung my acoustic violin) to have him check it out to see if the violin and strings are of good quality. He thought is was decent quality. I couldn't be happier with it, especially for the price. When you first get it, you will have to re-tune the strings every 10 minutes or so while you are playing, but after about a week of re-tuning (and it does need tuning less frequently with time) you are good to go. It doesn't hold a tune as well as my acoustic...I tune it before I begin playing usually, but it does hold well and the sound is fantastic. You can play it through an amp or into headphones and I think the sound quality is awesome. Hope this helps. :)

User questions & answers

Question: Is the packaging well? Was the violin safely packaged
Answer: very well insulated, could be dropped from a one story building no problem, but know this you will have to change strings and most likely sand the bridge a little for this violin too sound very good and play very comfortable,or take it to a luthier but if you look on youtube anyone with patience can fix this bridge.
Question: Https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/b00g234fk0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=utf8&psc=1&smid=atvpdkikx0der does "outfit" means it is shipped without case
Answer: outfit means without all the extra stuff they sell you to get more money out of you. With outfit you do get the case the bow and even comes with a rosin in it and of course the violin :)
Question: does it come with bow and case
Answer: Yes
Question: is this better than the sv
Answer: My young grandson has both and he prefers the SV-500 as his main violin with a graphite bow. He uses the SV 175 as his practice violin but both are good. The SV-500 is very attractive and he has been proud of it. Both have good tone.

Answer: No, in general all of the Yamaha violins are sold a la carte. This is because they are sold to players at all different skill levels -- by not including a bow or case, Yamaha encourages each player to select a bow or case that fits their needs at their current level of playing. A seasoned professional probably already has five or six bows that she likes, and thus doesn't need a bow at all, whereas a beginner might have a cheap Chinese cherrywood bow that came with an acoustic violin package, and thus be getting their first decent bow when they choose an $80 carbon fiber bow.

User questions & answers

Question: does it includles a shoulder rest and headphones
Answer: It does not. What it does include is a metal blade onto which any 4/4 sized shoulder rest will fit. I say "€œblade"€ because if your style is to play without a shoulder rest, it's a bit uncomfortable. You'll need at least a handkerchief or something like you would use with your fine wooden violin to dull the edge against your collarbone. But my Kuhn and my Bonmusica shoulder rests fit it tightly and comfortably. With regards to the headphones, any headphones will plug into the pre-amp. I suggest in-ear monitors, as over-the-heads will often press against the violin body and change the sound. (Of course, this means the alternative is getting really big over-the-head headphones and not plugging them in at all, which will also work ;-) ) I do NOT suggest earbuds! (Use the ones that go in your ear canal with a little silicon bulb, not the ones like the Apple ones that just sit inside your ear.)I find the sound from the headphone pre-amp a little grating anyway. I prefer to use a little headphone amp like the one I have from Electro-Harmonics to boost the output from the 1/4" jack when I'm practicing.
Question: can i run this through my LR Baggs preamp
Answer: You absolutely can, but the included Yamaha preamp must always be used with this instrument. If you want to use an additional preamp or effects you can, but the Yamaha preamp needs to go first in your chain.
