Answer:	I have been wearing these exclusively the last few years (not a cop or a hunter, or anything...I just like the look and the abundance of pockets and the d-rings and such, and that they are so stain resistant) and I will say when they are new, the make a bit of noise, but they break in quickly (wear/wash them a couple times) and will be quiet.

Answer:	No, these pants are NOT made in the USA. They are made in Mexico, like most Carhartt clothes.
