Answer:	Need Battery to produce sound. No Battery no sound.

Answer:	Yes and it's fairly easy as far as Bluetooth connectivity goes, although it is not without some problems. You will need a Bluetooth transmitter (if you don't already have one), which will take audio output from the violin and send it to the Bluetooth Beats. I have 2 of the from Taotronics and especially like their Bluetooth 5.0 Transmitter and Receiver, which you can buy on Amazon for about $40. The transmitter/receiver has a standard 3.5" stereo input jack, so you will need an adapter that goes from the 2 conductor mono-output of the violin to the 3 conductor stereo input jack, otherwise you might only hear the output in one of the Beats' earphones. Check out the "Monoprice 107128 3.5mm Mono Plug to 3.5mm Stereo Jack Adaptor" at Amazon for $2.02! Now, while the transmitter also has TOS-Link connections, the violin doesn't, so you won't find that option useful for this, but you might find that useful with other audio devices. The transmitter has a pretty decent range - about 20-30 feet. Of course, the transmitter still needs to be connected with a cable from the violin but that's always been a problem - you have to connect the violin to something via a cable. The transmitter's dimensions are approximately 2 1/4" square and 3/4" thick, weighing in at just 1.3 ounces. Its lithium battery lasts a long time and it has a standard micro-USB charging port. Even if you decide not to use it for your electric violin, it's still nice to have.

Answer:	Yes. There are 3 sockets on the back of violin. One is "Line out" (for amp). One is "Mic" and one is "Phones". The Included cord for the amp is a little over 9 feet and is decent quality. There is no static backround noise and my violin comes in clear. *In the stock photo the amp cable is to the right of the headphones.

Answer:	It has a quarter inch plug, look for either an A to D connector, or (more easily a rocksmith cable) a USB interface. Electric instruments are almost all the same you'll never have the same sound as an acoustic. But it will give you a unique and interesting sound. Especially at this price point.

Answer:	I get about 81 dB playing open strings. It’s not so quiet.
Question:	I am considering getting this for my daughter but can someone tell me if this is quieter than an acoustic violin with the headphones plugged in
Answer:	The strings come attached. In fact, as soon as my violin came in, I took it to my local music store (who strung my acoustic violin) to have him check it out to see if the violin and strings are of good quality. He thought is was decent quality. I couldn't be happier with it, especially for the price. When you first get it, you will have to re-tune the strings every 10 minutes or so while you are playing, but after about a week of re-tuning (and it does need tuning less frequently with time) you are good to go. It doesn't hold a tune as well as my acoustic...I tune it before I begin playing usually, but it does hold well and the sound is fantastic. You can play it through an amp or into headphones and I think the sound quality is awesome. Hope this helps. :)

However, the center markers for pitch are white with yellow ones on each side which means there's little contrast to see while you're playing. So I think it would be tough to monitor your pitch while playing.

Answer:	It is not ready to play when it just got out the box. You have to do the followings in order: 1) slide the damper under the two strings at the bottom of the python skin (I remove this damper afterward and the instrument still sounds fine, will double check with other erhu players). 2) put the "bridge" in the center of the python skin, under the two strings, make sure the strings sit in their notch on the bridge 3) tune up the strings to D (the left one) and A (the right one) (assume you are looking at the python skin) 4) add tension to the bow to the horse hair it taut, then apply the rosin on both side, this takes a while as it is a new bow 5) release the tension, take out the horse hair at one end (where you would hold the bow), slide the hair between the two strings. There are two ways to insert the hair, and ONE is WRONG !!! If you hold the erhu in playing position, the hair should be inserted such that the tip of the bow pointed backward to your left side and the "hand holding" end point forward to the right. Then turn the screw to increase the hair tension. Now, it's really ready to play.

Set a Bridge

• The side of the bridge facing the violin strings should be at an angle of approximately 90 degrees. The other side of the bridge should be slightly tilted forward.
• When setting a violin bridge, please first loosen the violin string. After placing the bridge in place, the string is inserted into the limit of the bridge, and the tuning can be used normally.

Fine Adjustment Knob

• The function of the fine adjustment knob is to help the violinist to make parts for tuning. The tuning of the violin is difficult.

1. Unscrew the mounting screws for fine adjustment
2. After unscrewing the screws, insert the E string hole at the bottom of the string board
3. Screw on the screws to fix the fine adjustment
4. Insert the adjusting screw of the trimmer
5. Mount the strings to the fine tuning

Adjust Chin Rest

1. The bottom of the chin rest should be completely consistent with the piano panel.
2. Note that the smaller the contact point with the body, the better, so the double bracket screw is more popular than the single bracket screw, because the smaller the contact point, the less the vibration that hinders the body.
3. After installation, the angle of the chin rest should be straight, especially not upward.
4. Be sure to tighten the screws, otherwise the body will make noise.

Notes to New Players

1. Violin need to be tuned every time before playing. When tuning, push pegs inward so the peg stay in place, sometimes extra force is needed to keep the pegs from slipping.
2. For the first time, bow need to be rosined for 5 minutes (or 30-50 full passes), and after every 4-6 hours practice, rosin need to be reapplied.
3. Loose bow hair each time after playing, and tighten your bow by gently tuning the tension screw.
4. After playing the violin, gently clean it with a soft, clean, lint-free cloth to remove rosin build-up on the strings and any dust, oil or sweat.

Glasser instruments also come in black, gunmetal, silver, white, green, blue, purple, red, and pink. AE and AEX versions have a different look meaning a green AE does not look like a green AEX.
