13 best grace full size violins

Grace full-size violins are musical instruments designed for both beginner and intermediate violin players. These violins fall under the category of acoustic violins and are commonly used in orchestras, bands, and other musical ensembles. Here's what you should know about Grace full-size violins:

  1. Size: A full-size violin, also known as a 4/4 violin, is the largest standard violin size and is suitable for adults and older teenagers. It is the size most commonly used by professional violinists.

  2. Quality: Grace full-size violins are typically crafted with attention to detail to provide a good balance of playability and tone quality. While they are generally considered suitable for beginners, they can also be appreciated by intermediate players.

  3. Materials: These violins are typically made from a variety of tonewoods, including spruce for the top plate and maple for the back, sides, and neck. The quality of the wood and the craftsmanship can affect the instrument's sound quality.

  4. Sound: The sound produced by a Grace full-size violin can vary depending on factors such as the quality of the materials, construction, and setup. They are known for producing a warm and resonant sound that can be well-suited for classical and other genres of music.

  5. Accessories: Grace full-size violins often come as part of a package that includes essential accessories for beginners, such as a bow, rosin, a case, and sometimes even extra strings. This makes them a convenient choice for those just starting to learn the instrument.

  6. Price Range: Grace violins are typically positioned as affordable options for beginners and intermediate players. They are considered a good choice for those who want a decent-quality violin without breaking the bank.

  7. Maintenance: Like all violins, Grace full-size violins require proper care and maintenance to keep them in optimal playing condition. Regular tuning, cleaning, and occasional restringing are essential tasks for violinists.

  8. Use: These violins are suitable for a wide range of musical styles, including classical, folk, and more. They are commonly used in orchestras, chamber music groups, and solo performances.

  9. Size Consideration: It's important to choose the right-sized violin based on the player's age and arm length. While full-size violins are suitable for most adults and older teenagers, younger players may require smaller sizes, such as 3/4 or 1/2.

In summary, Grace full-size violins are affordable and practical options for individuals who are learning to play the violin or are at an intermediate level. They offer a good balance of quality and price, making them accessible to a wide range of musicians who want to explore the world of stringed instruments.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this come with the accesories in the picture
Answer: Everything that is in the picture comes in the case.
Question: If my daughter is 10, what size should I get
Answer: I got the 4/4 size however my grandaughter has the 7/8 and she is 10. The violins are so close in size its hard to tell the difference however her bow in lenght is shorter.
Question: Would this 1/4 fit a small 7 year old
Answer: 5 -7 yrs about 18"arm span 1/47-9yrs about 20"arm span 1/2
Question: Can this be used as a fiddle
Answer: The bridge is the difference. A fiddle is a violin with a flatter bridge and a violin with a rounded bridge is played in the classic style and just called violin. Fiddle, as some mentioned is related to folk, country western, zydeco, bluegrass, folksy types of music. This is because the flatter bridge allows one to play chords more easily by making it easier to bow two or more strings at once. Whereas a standard violin with rounded bridge is easier to bow single notes as one would in an orchestral setting.

User questions & answers

Question: Es el primero que se muestra con todos los accesorios o es el naranja de abajo. Precio es profesional
Answer: Si!.. Se muestra con todos los accesorios. Una pieza 100% original y profesional. Recomiendo el Violín asi como el vendedor 100% 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 Estrellas
Question: My daughter was trying to tune her violin (she's twelve and just starting out) and the bridge fell off. Is it difficult to put back on
Answer: If you're unsure of how to place the bridge back on, take it to a music shop and they will assist you, music and arts centers will assist you in the store, I've done plenty of those at no cost when I used to work there. There is a certain direction and placing the bridge must sit to be able to sit properly, please seek a professional for instrument care.
Question: what bridge does this come with
Answer: This product comes with two bridges that are made by the manufacture. No name on the bridges. I bought this product and it is an amazing deal for the quality and tone of the instrument! I suggest buying new strings, the ones that come in this set are cheap and dull sounding! Dominant Strings are suggested by this professional of 20 years!
Question: Does the actual violin that will ship look anything like this
Answer: hi Kyle D...no, I thought the violin would look like the picture because the wood looks rich and the violin strings looks like it would have a deep sound to it. However, if you haven't bought the violin yet..good.. I would spend a little more money on a good violin that would last you a long time..my mendini is still in the box oh and the strings on the violin are cheap..thank you for asking I hoped I help :) Deanne allen

Mendini MV500 Violin

With its deep, rich and powerful tone, the Mendini MV500 comes highly recommended by our customers and is a step-up instrument from all beginner Mendini models, making it an ideal choice for any beginning or experienced student. It possesses a superior tonal quality and exceptional ability to project, creating a strong and sensuous sound that resonates beautifully and has the potential to really sing. The MV500 displays an attractive, dark design that gives the impression of antiquity, and is designed to be reliable, lasting several years before the student will need to consider upgrading. With its beautiful quality and design, the Mendini MV500 is an excellent violin for an affordable price.

How to choose violin sizes

Violins are available in 8 different sizes: 4/4 (also called full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. Size 4/4 is the biggest and size 1/32 is the smallest. All adults, regardless of their size, use the size 4/4 violin.

To measure what size violin best suits you, you need to know the length between your neck and the middle of your left-hand palm (when your hand is fully extended and raised perpendicular to your body, just like holding a violin). Most of the teachers prefer students to use the length from the neck to the wrist for measurement instead of the neck to mid-palm approach. The violin size determined by the neck/wrist approach would be the size that is more comfortable for students to hold. The violin size determined by the neck/mid-palm approach would be the biggest size students should use. The following table lists the length of each violin size. Find your length using your preferred approach and use that to determine the size of violin to get.

If you have a teacher, you should ask for your teacher's recommendation. If you don't have a teacher, we would recommend using the neck/wrist approach for students not using full size; for students who are deciding whether to used size 3/4 or size 4/4, use the neck/mid-palm approach. This is because it is always better those students feeling comfortable holding and playing the violin. However, while deciding between size 3/4 and size 4/4, if neck/mid-palm approach allows for size 4/4, then buying a size 4/4 is more economical since you don't have to buy another bigger size violin later. This is completely based on economical consideration. You should still decide what best suits your need.

User questions & answers

Question: Whats the difference between mv400 and the cvn
Answer: CVN-300 has better wood quality than MV400. The CVN-300 has a bright and vibrant tone that produces a clear and crisp sound.
Question: Are the bows prerosined? I want to use one as a practice bow
Answer: No. They are not prerosined--but it does come with the rosin for you to do yourself.
Question: Do you ship to the Philippines
Answer: We are sorry to tell you that we do not ship to Philippines.
Question: Does this violin come assembled
Answer: I am a luthier and my wife is a violin teacher. One of her students brought me this exact violin (MV400) to have set up work done. Here is a list of what needed to be done: Refit the bridge feet, thin bridge blank, carve out excess wood from bridge, lower bridge arch for proper string heights, fit pegs and re-drill peg holes, lower and reprofile nut and re-slot string grooves, new tailpiece (cheap tailpiece only lasted 2 weeks before fine tuners seized up), new strings (cheap strings sounded truly awful, and started fraying after 2 weeks), remove excess varnish from neck/ fingerboard joint and smooth, and finally a new soundpost. The fingerboard was adequate, and I left it alone. The instrument itself is not terrible, and the pegs and fingerboard were of reasonable quality, but the tailpiece and string quality and very inadequate setup will have you spending an additional $200-$300 and I haven't even mentioned the awful bow, crummy shoulder rest, and crummy rosin. The instrument sounds reasonably good now after all the work, though at the end of the day, you still have a $100 violin. You really get what you pay for.

User questions & answers

Question: Does the violin come tuned
Answer: Its cheaper to just buy a new bow.
Question: Is this for a child or adult? Could a 9 year old use it
Answer: I ordered this bow for a partially paralyzed friend of mine. I do not know it's weight, yo be quite honest. My friend is extremely fussy about these and other things, and I can tell you this: this bow are exceeded his expectations
Question: Are the strings made of an animal product
Answer: A 1/2 size violin is approximately the same size as a 12” inch viola. This bow is 24 1/2 “ long and would be appropriate for use with a 1/2 size violin or a 12” viola. This is a size used by many of my 4th and 5th grade violin and viola students.
Question: please, shipping weight And Its for adults beginner too
Answer: The hair is natural, the normal rosin you used to use is ok.

Question: It's wood pegs
Answer: Hi , this violin no play with earphone. Para afinar as cordas precisa de um aparelho de afinar cordas. Esse nao vem incluso neste violino.
Question: Tiene clavijas de madera
Answer: You can absolutely play this violin acoustically. The Electronics are just there if you happen to ever want to plug it in!
Question: Does the bow really touch the wood
Answer: It's easy! Get an amp to headphone jack converter, just plugs into the amp port on the violin and provides headphone ports. You'll also need a muter, it's a big rubber thing that slips over the strings and bridge, that reduces sound allot, but not so much that the headphones wouldn't pick it up. I'll drop some links below:Muter:http://www.amazon.com/Glaesel-Violin-Ultra-Practice-Mute/dp/B0002II6V0/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1430597446&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=glasser+muterAdapter:http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IF0JSVO/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=5CARPKV8BWHG&coliid=I1HLDE6SLLNSYB

That gives this instrument a warmer and more projective sound than competing student violins at the same cost point.

User questions & answers

Question: Where is this violin made
Answer: I looked on the Cecilio site and they only inform you that they are hand made and tested in "overseas factories and then re-inspect them at... Los Angeles distribution center." So It could be China, but for all we know it could be Italy.
Question: I am looking at buying this for my Son who would like to learn to play the violin. Does it matter that he is left handed
Answer: You could have it set up to be played left handed. A good luthier can do this. basically the nut and bridge are going to be set up where the G-D-A-E will be E-A-D-G. like a mirror image. YES there have been a few bluegrass players that play left handed fiddle. Bob Wills even had a left handed fiddle player. Katrina Pearcec is a left handed fiddle player and she plays bluegrass music. So the answer to your question is. It does not matter if he is left handed. Just have the instrument set up to be played left handed.

Question: How is the sound quality of wood full size violin
Answer: late reply but maybe it might help someone else, when i was 11 or so i was given a 3/4 violin. it was a good size for me, and big enough to grow into. even at 24 i can still play the 3/4 when my 4/4 was being repaired though yes it is a bit small for me now, but i didn't want to fall out of practice. i dont really know how much smaller the 1/2 is in my hands i think that would be good for an 8 year old but you would need to upgrade to a 3/4 or 4/4 by the time they are 13-15, if they grow fast during puberty i would just pay for a 4/4 and have them grow into it.
Question: Does this violin come with assembled
Answer: I think it would be great for a twelve year old to play because even though it didn't work for me it would never work as a toy toy you can play around with but with this violin I think it's great for a twelve year old I mean my sister plays that same one and she is only 11.
Question: What is the difference in sizes between 1/4 1/2 and 4/4 Am thinking of getting one, just not sure about the size
Answer: Go with a 3/4 or 4/4. Your child's teacher should measure their arm length and be able to tell you exactly which would be the better fit.
Question: Hello, I am a Double Bass player in my school orchestra. I am new to the violin, and wanted to know if the bridge/strings will be placed already? Thx
Answer: Yes
Question: What size is for children
Answer: Everything is included. Bought this for my granddaughter last year. She has used it to take lessons this year and loves it.
Question: Is this a real violin for a twelve year old starting to play or is it a toy
Answer: Using the rosin cake that came with it, we also got no sound. After using a different rosin cake from another violin, it worked perfectly. Only after doing that did I see that the description here recommends rubbing it for 5 minutes. Maybe the included rosin needs that to get "primed"
Question: How do I know what size to get my 5th grade student
Answer: You can plug your headphones directly into it.
Question: Does it come with extra strings
Answer: There were straps on the case already attached but I never loosened them because the violin was cracked.
Question: Does everthing in the picture come with the violin
Answer: Hello Firas A. I saw your question about the violin strings, and I did a ton of research on this before I got it, so I'm to help another person do the same. I got this thing earlier this year, being a newbie at the violin thing, so I'm not an expert critic on the product. However, when I received mine, my strings were installed, but not in tune. The bridge had also fallen over (the light-wood thing that holds the strings up), but that was easy to re-erect. I found a free violin tuner app for my phone, and used that to tune my violin. The strings aren't the greatest quality, but they will work until you can get them replaced with a set of good ones. Over all, the whole deal wasn't bad. Just be sure to buy a shoulder rest....
Question: I bought this, but I can't get it to make any sound. What at u doing wrong
Answer: This violin comes with all the strings. I am very satisfied with the purchase as I play every week for my church and since I'm the only stringed instrument I need to be heard!
Question: Do you plug the headphones directly into it or plug it into an amp and the headphones out of the amp
Answer: They are all solid wood pegs.
Question: Can you attach shoulder straps to the case or does the case come with straps
Answer: This violin came with solid wood pegs. We have the pegs available for purchase. Please contact us at 877-262-8880 M-F 8:30am-5:30pm pst for further assistant.
Question: Hi, I'm really interested in this product, but will the strings of the violin be tuned
Answer: I don't understand your question. Do you mean the horsehair part of the bow touch the wood part of the bow? Only if the bow is not tightened. If you mean does the bow touch the wood on the top of the violin, then no. Hope this helps.
Question: Someone told me that this violin does not come with strings when you buy it, is that true
Answer: I bought a 1/16 for my grandaughter's 1st bday. Her mom is a former championship fiddler and is very pleased with it for a beginner.

It provides violinists of all levels with the ability to practice confidently without disturbing others. The outfit features a 1/8 output jack that allows you to connect to most guitar amps or PA systems (1/4 to 1/8 cable included), volume control that allow you to choose the ambience you want, headphone jack for practice and a line-in jack for practice with a background track.
