User questions & answers

Question: Are these filled or unfilled reeds
Answer: These are American Un-filed.
Question: how long are they
Answer: Approximately 2 and 5/8 inches
Question: Is the size of the reed mean the strength of the reed? Can you use a strength 3 reed when you have been useing a strength
Answer: The size means the strength of the reed. Most teachers recommend that a first-year musician use a 2 or 2.5 (soft or medium soft) reed. 3 is stiffer which may make it difficult to produce a sound for a beginner. As the muscles around the mouth grow stronger with practice, switching to a stiffer reed can help improve tone quality and intonation, especially for high notes.

Question: Does this bari sax come with reeds or do i need to by some
Answer: This baritone saxophone comes with a new unused reed in place and comes with a one year warranty against manufacturer's defects when purchased from our authorized sellers: Amazon, Soaap, and KK Music Store.
Question: what size is the mouthpiece or how do I go about getting one for this bari. my daughter wore hera out
Answer: Baritone Saxophone mouthpieces come in a variety of brands, depending on what you are looking for. There are those designed for jazz, which are different than regular or concert band playing. Different mouthpieces also come in a variety of prices - some can get quite expensive. Unless she is a professional player, I would look for a hard plastic baritone saxophone mouthpiece. Any baritone saxophone mouthpiece will fit any baritone saxophone. Just make sure it is for a baritone saxophone. Music stores can also tell you about specific qualities about different brands. You do not have to get the same brand mouthpiece as the brand of saxophone. I have never heard of anyone "wearing out" a mouthpiece unless you wish different qualities and that all depends on the brand mouthpiece you get.

User questions & answers

Question: is the sound quality good
Answer: The plug was 110V 60Hz AC and there was not an adapter or converter to 220V 50Hz. Given it works on resistance, my guess is that it might be a little rough on your transformers or voltage converters, much like trying to use a 110V hair dryer.
Question: what is the weight of the saxophone with the bag
Answer: This has a 2 point plug. Thanks
Question: i am an adult looking to purchase this saxophone. does any adults have experience playing and living this instrument
Answer: Probably not. I only had 5 to begin with, and they are all in carts right now. Keep checking back if you like, but I'm a pretty small seller.
Question: Does it sound the same as a Yamaha saxophone or worst
Answer: Lol good question!

User questions & answers

Question: Does this come with the accesories in the picture
Answer: Everything that is in the picture comes in the case.
Question: If my daughter is 10, what size should I get
Answer: I got the 4/4 size however my grandaughter has the 7/8 and she is 10. The violins are so close in size its hard to tell the difference however her bow in lenght is shorter.
Question: Would this 1/4 fit a small 7 year old
Answer: 5 -7 yrs about 18"arm span 1/47-9yrs about 20"arm span 1/2
Question: Can this be used as a fiddle
Answer: The bridge is the difference. A fiddle is a violin with a flatter bridge and a violin with a rounded bridge is played in the classic style and just called violin. Fiddle, as some mentioned is related to folk, country western, zydeco, bluegrass, folksy types of music. This is because the flatter bridge allows one to play chords more easily by making it easier to bow two or more strings at once. Whereas a standard violin with rounded bridge is easier to bow single notes as one would in an orchestral setting.

User questions & answers

Question: What is the difference between Cecilio cvn-200 and mendini
Answer: Si!.. Se muestra con todos los accesorios. Una pieza 100% original y profesional. Recomiendo el Violín asi como el vendedor 100% 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 Estrellas
Question: Does it come setup
Answer: If you're unsure of how to place the bridge back on, take it to a music shop and they will assist you, music and arts centers will assist you in the store, I've done plenty of those at no cost when I used to work there. There is a certain direction and placing the bridge must sit to be able to sit properly, please seek a professional for instrument care.
Question: The tuning pegs do not stay after adjusting, is this normal
Answer: This product comes with two bridges that are made by the manufacture. No name on the bridges. I bought this product and it is an amazing deal for the quality and tone of the instrument! I suggest buying new strings, the ones that come in this set are cheap and dull sounding! Dominant Strings are suggested by this professional of 20 years!
Question: does this item come with an extra set of strings
Answer: hi Kyle D...no, I thought the violin would look like the picture because the wood looks rich and the violin strings looks like it would have a deep sound to it. However, if you haven't bought the violin yet..good.. I would spend a little more money on a good violin that would last you a long time..my mendini is still in the box oh and the strings on the violin are cheap..thank you for asking I hoped I help :) Deanne allen
Question: Es el primero que se muestra con todos los accesorios o es el naranja de abajo. Precio es profesional
Answer: Only one . easy to use.
Question: My daughter was trying to tune her violin (she's twelve and just starting out) and the bridge fell off. Is it difficult to put back on
Answer: The top button changes the pitch: ie 440 (which is standard pitch) to a faster pitch and turns the tuner off and on. The bottom button changes the instrument to be tuned: violin, viola, cello & base. Hope this helps.
Question: what bridge does this come with
Answer: The clip opens to 1 1/4 inch at the widest. Don't know if that's large enough for your bass.
Question: Does the actual violin that will ship look anything like this
Answer: It responds as quickly as any tuner meaning you can check long notes, but not short ones. However, the center markers for pitch are white with yellow ones on each side which means there's little contrast to see while you're playing. So I think it would be tough to monitor your pitch while playing.

How to choose violin sizes

Violins are available in 8 different sizes: 4/4 (also called full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. Size 4/4 is the biggest and size 1/32 is the smallest. All adults, regardless of their size, use the size 4/4 violin.

To measure what size violin best suits you, you need to know the length between your neck and the middle of your left-hand palm (when your hand is fully extended and raised perpendicular to your body, just like holding a violin). Most of the teachers prefer students to use the length from the neck to the wrist for measurement instead of the neck to mid-palm approach. The violin size determined by the neck/wrist approach would be the size that is more comfortable for students to hold. The violin size determined by the neck/mid-palm approach would be the biggest size students should use. The following table lists the length of each violin size. Find your length using your preferred approach and use that to determine the size of violin to get.

If you have a teacher, you should ask for your teacher's recommendation. If you don't have a teacher, we would recommend using the neck/wrist approach for students not using full size; for students who are deciding whether to used size 3/4 or size 4/4, use the neck/mid-palm approach. This is because it is always better those students feeling comfortable holding and playing the violin. However, while deciding between size 3/4 and size 4/4, if neck/mid-palm approach allows for size 4/4, then buying a size 4/4 is more economical since you don't have to buy another bigger size violin later. This is completely based on economical consideration. You should still decide what best suits your need.

Cecilio CVN-300 Violin

One of our most popular models, the Cecilio CVN-300 is specially crafted to handle all the needs a beginning student could have. With its ebony fingerboard and fittings, beautiful antique varnish finish, and exceptional tone and resonance, the CVN-300 is an effective and capable instrument for any student who is just starting to learn the violin. Emphasizing superior clarity, remarkable responsiveness, and a pleasantly bright and warm tone for a lively yet smooth feel, the Cecilio CVN-300 provides students with a durable and reliable instrument that they can be confident will not hinder their development on the violin.
