This clock has an elegant dark brown solid wood alder case with a crystal glass cover and a white dial with Roman Numerals. The contemporary dial features Roman numerals at the quarter hour positions with hour markers and a minute track surrounding the dial. The bezel around the dial is a bright chrome with a polished cylindrical pendulum that silently swings back and forth. Westminster/Whittington quarter-hour chime and hourly strikes with a volume control and an automatic nighttime chime silence switch. The chime may be turned completely off with the volume control.

Answer:	The listed dimensions may be those of the box it ships in. Those you've given are close to what I've measured on my clock, except it's about 4.5" deep.
Question:	I think there is an error in the description of this clock. Where is there a pendulum and 4 Swarovski crystals
Answer:	The base, on both ends, measures 4" deep but the base arcs out and measures 4 3/4" deep at the center of the clock. The back is flat and flush with the base so it could be pushed against the wall with no extra space used. The feet,at the 4 corners are large and all 4 would set on a 4" mantle. Actual width is 8 1/2". The cap measurements match the base. And the body is flush on the back and is 1/2" smaller on the sides and front.
Question:	how to reset time after battery change
Answer:	The clock is powered by normal household batteries.. I can't recall the size batteries it requires, but I believe they ship with the clock.
