ULTRA-DI PRO DI 4000

The ULTRA-DI PRO DI4000 gives you 4 first-class DI channels in a single rack space. Each channel is equipped with two Inputs (XLR and ¼" TRS), a balanced XLR Output – and a ¼" Link output to connect to your amp or monitor console. Plus, the DI4000 is designed to accommodate virtually any input signal, up to 40 dB of switchable input attenuation and up to 20 dB of gain, while our highly acclaimed OT-1 output transformers ensure pristine and powerful output.

PRO-Active

Direct Injection (DI) boxes make it possible to connect guitars, basses and keyboards (as well as other line-level devices) to audio mixers and recorders. The DI4000 takes the DI box to the next level with a special 8 kHz High-Cut filter per channel for guitar applications, along with a Phase Reverse switch for optimal signal alignment. Additionally, our DI4000 active DI features “buffered” inputs that respect your source signal much better than passive DI boxes can – outputting optimally-balanced, extremely low-impedance (600 Ω) signals that are far less susceptible to noise and RF Interference (RFI).

In, XLR Out – There has to be More?

When it comes right down to it, all DI boxes do the same thing, right? Yes, but the DI4000 does much more than just “bass guitar in, mic-level signal out.” It really is a highly versatile input-signal toolkit. Here are just two advantages the DI4000 has over standard DI boxes: Maybe you’d like to connect your guitar amp’s speaker output to your mixer? Not a problem, the DI4000 features two -20 dB attenuation switches per channel, allowing you to connect to speaker outputs rated up to 3,000 Watts – and convert them to balanced XLR outs! Weak incoming signal? The DI4000 has a +20 dB switch, which really comes in handy for boosting low-level input signals to balanced signals with real power and rock-solid impact. Worried about fluctuating voltages in the venue? The DI 4000 is equipped with an internal switch-mode power supply that ranges from 100 to 240 V and automatically adapts to mains voltages wherever you go.

Superior Sound, Incredible Value

The 4-channel ULTRA-DI PRO DI4000 delivers exceptional sound quality.

User questions & answers

Question: Como hago para comprar aqui. Los precios son en dolar americano? O dolar tt
Answer: Amazon está en dólares estadounidenses pero solo enviamos en los Estados Unidos Estados BNC Electronics
Question: Is this amp stable into 2 ohms a channel
Answer: The specs specifically place a line on the table in the 2 ohm per channel column, indicating that it’s not compatible, unlike other bridged versions of the amp, so I don’t think so. Being an engineer, I believe it would probably work up to a point but I wouldn’t want to push it too hard otherwise it could screw up the output stage. Hope this helps...
Question: I have an inuke with dsp, can i control this nx amp with it? or do i need to download different software
Answer: Ok, if you're asking if the NX GUI is the same as the INuke Gui, it is the same. Hope this helps. Jeff
Question: Is this designed fro 120 V or 120-240 V
Answer: I believe these amplifiers do not have a universal power supply so they are design to operate in the 110V and 120V range.

User questions & answers

Question: Is the case metal, or plastic
Answer: Metal Best sounding acoustic preamp for the money you can find I own 4 of them.
Question: My unit isn't working with 9v batteries like it's supposed to. do i have to use a 9v power input or return the unit
Answer: It should work with 9V batteries. They just don't last long. I recommend the wall wart for it. If it doesn't work at all with a 9V battery I would assume it's defective. I only use this power adapter: http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-PSU-SB-BEHRINGER-POWER-SUPPLY/dp/B000T9L7W2/ref=pd_bxgy_267_img_y
Question: Would this pedal help eliminate feedback that occurs at higher volumes with Piezo pickups
Answer: no, the pedal had the worst tone of any acoustic pedal i tried, save your money and step up to a Fishman Aura16 Acoustic Imaging Pedal, will sound better and help control feedback!!!
Question: This thing only adds distortion to my acoustic guitar, no matter how I have it set. is it defective
Answer: The one we bought has been working fine. We haven't experienced any distortion issues with our unit. Couple of things to try: make sure the battery is fresh or you are using a 9V power source; start with low gain settings and work up with tone controls centered; Try connecting the output of the ADI21 to the line-level input on your amp, you may be overdriving the microphone-level input on your amp; your guitar may be overdriving the input to the ADI21. If none of that helps nor the other six answers help, then I'd say it could be defective. --regards

Answer: check sticker or buy uk version
Question: is this product 120 volt or
Answer: Technically, it does not. I will paste the statement of 1 reviewer (Nathan) that pretty much sums it up. "You have to make your own power cord given the supplied Neutrik connector. A few feet of 10 gauge wire and a 20 or 30 amp end to plug it into 120v or 220v respectively and you are set."
Question: If i have 2 passive speakers (250w cont/1000w peak) will a 2000 watt amp be cutting too close? Should i go with a 4000 watt model
Answer: Yes it will

User questions & answers

Question: I see this has an input for using a subwoofer. Does the subwoofer have to have it's own built in amp, or can it be a passive subwoofer
Answer: The subwoofer output of the K450FX will need to connect to an amplifier and passive subwoofer.
Question: Is this amp good for jamming? Will I be able to hear my keyboard over a guitar and drums
Answer: The amp has volume levels for adjustments. You can turn the keyboard volume up pretty high, high enough for it to be uncomfortable for people in a small room. So I think the keyboard could hang in there with the guitars and drums.. Of course, the amp has 3 inputs. You could actually run a couple of guitars AND a keyboard in it at one time, or a microphone, guitar and keyboard... I think it will handle your jamming if you don't play extremely loud.
Question: is there a gain switch for electrie guitar
Answer: I'd recommend something else if you are only going to play electric guitar. No built in distortion. I love my Cube amp with my strat. But of course if you have guitar rig software, you can make anything work.
Question: does the speaker turn off with the headphones plugged in
Answer: Yes

User questions & answers

Question: Has anyone used this with a DI box in front of this unit and then plug in to this unit? For example, guitar->di box->this unit, if so did it work
Answer: @guitar->di box->this unitLate to the party here, but other potential buyers might want to know...A DI box basically converts the unbalanced instrument level signal to a balanced mic level signal. So this should work using the Micromon's xlr input.. not the 1/4". So in this situation you may use the Micromon's xlr thru-put out to a mixer channel. Furthermore you could also use the DI box's parallel 1/4" jack to feed a guitar amp... but in that case why do you need to hear it in a pair of headphone's or iem's as others have pointed out).BUT what this unit is intended to do is let to run your mic thru (in and out of) it for extra "just me" monitoring while also receiving a normal monitor/aux send mix from the mixer into the Micromon's 1/4" input. There are other, creative uses for this unit but just know that you results may very when you use any piece of equipment in a way in which it was not intended. And yes, you likely do need to monitor an acoustic guitar if you are on a noisy stage with drums, electrics etc. The ambient sound from the guitar alone is rarely enough in a "band" situation. But at the end of the day, imo, you'll get better results and keep things simpler if you just use a simple stage monitor/wedge. Hondo.
Question: Does this serve the same purpose as the Behringer MX400 Micromix 4 Channel Line Mixer in a way if I can get the signal to be stereo? thanks
Answer: You can get stereo output. Inputs however are one balanced 1/4" and the second is XLR. It's a great personal mixer and I use it every time I play live. I run the board mix into the 1/4" and then direct from my Line6 X3 Live into the XLR (Mic) input.
Question: I want to know if these would be good for all of my players in my praise and worship band. We play new style of worship
Answer: I don't use mine for playing out just for practice but the worship team at church uses two, lead guitar and drums.Mine works great for practice also.
Question: Can wireless headphones be used with this amp
Answer: I'd say any type of headphone can go into this amp. It has a quarter inch as well as 3.5mm jacks. All you need to do is plug it up properly and you'll have sound.

Everything You Need, Nothing You Don't

The über-simple front panel controls of these amps give you all of your sound's vital signs at a glance. After flipping the MAIN switch, the POWER LED will light when the amp is ready for action. Both channels have independent gain dials as well as clip LEDs that indicate when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the gain. There are also SIGNAL LEDs that light up when a signal is present at the input.

Panel Discussion

A panel of switches found on the back panel offers an array of cool options to apply to both channels of the EP2000 and EP4000. The Clip Limiter lets you get even more out of the amplifier without overdriving either it or your speaker system. Built-in circuitry automatically senses when the EP2000 or EP4000 is being overdriven into "clipping" and then momentarily reduces the input level to avoid clipping distortion. This all happens in a few thousandths of a second, so it's an inaudible way of avoiding audible clipping distortion. Of course, you can turn the Limiter off if you're feeling lucky.

Ultra-low frequency sounds (infrasonics) are caused by rickety stage vibrations, mic thumps and wind noise. While technically inaudible, they can cause a huge drain on amp power, potential damage to your speakers and a sludgy sound in the audible bass ranges. Both EP models feature a defeatable Low Cut Filter that chops off unwanted frequencies below 50Hz or 30Hz (depending on your PA system's capabilities).

The same panel contains the switches that allow you to put these amps to work in either stereo or bridge (mono) mode. Both the EP2000 and EP4000 can be linked to additional power amps by switching into parallel mode.

These Amps Have Guts

There's plenty of awesome features on the outside of the EP2000 and EP4000, but there's also a team of cool components on the inside helping it work its magic. They come loaded with famously reliable Toshiba/Fairchild power transistors as well as a high-current toroidal transformer for ultra-high transient response and further reliability. Independent DC and thermal overload protection on each channel automatically protects the amplifier and speakers from any show-stopping meltdowns. There's no need for fuses, giving you one fewer potential mid-gig headache.

The EP2000 and EP4000 have both XLR and 1/4" TRS inputs. Even the outputs are totally flexible, consisting of Speakon-compatible outputs and five-way binding posts. Whether you're dealing with bare wire or boutique audiophile cabling, the EP2000 and EP4000 are right at home.

The exhaust fan, visible on the back panel, is the final stage of an internal front-to-back cooling system that keeps these amps working in the mild temperatures they love, even through periods of extended use. Finally, an impact-resistant, all-steel 2U rackmount chassis helps these workhorses stand up to all the rigors of the road.

Accelerated Transient Response Delivers the Knock-Out Punch

It takes huge pulses of energy (current and voltage) to propel a woofer cone out fast enough to match a bass beat. That's called Transient Response and it's the holy grail of amp designers. By carefully selecting transistors with extremely highslew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of our circuitry, our amps are able to react instantly to even the most demanding electronic bass impulses. If the woofers in your PA system can keep up, your audience will hear a tighter, crisper, more natural sound.

The Legend Powers On

If you read the reviews of the EP2000 and EP4000's older brothers, the EP1500 and EP2500, and it's clear that those amps are renowned not only for their performance and durability, but also their astoundingly low price tags. The EP2000 and EP4000 extend that legacy to the next level.

Question: How many libras weighs
Answer: That's exactly what I use it for.
Question: Input power 120v or 230v
Answer: It has a USB interface and comes with a USB cable.
Question: Can someone explain the clip limiter switch & why I'de want it on or why I'de want it off? How's this setting related to the clip light on the front
Answer: Yes!
Question: Can this be used for just powering the front left and right speakers rated at 10-250 watts rms and 600 max? or stick with onboard avr
Answer: I am very happy with the reverb and echo effects. I have the 1202FX. you have total control, I have a much bigger control and cost more but I like the control I have with the 1202FX reverb. I ran a 5 piece band with big equipment and this mixer could have ran the whole show. Wish I could have had it in the day. I would consider myself a pro, made a living at it for several years.

User questions & answers

Question: Do this amp drive 4 sub of precision devices pdn
Answer: USB is limited to 2 channels each way (total of 4 channels) and is not configurable beyond that. This, in your case, you could have two mics panned to the right and the other two to the left, or any combination thereof, but there's only ever going to be 2 distinct channels going from mixer to PC (or Mac) via USB.
Question: How to buy 240v input of this amp
Answer: No, they won't plug into this in the way *I think* you want them to. There's a USB port on the back of this, but it's for interfacing with a computer, not for plugging USB microphones into it. Side note: I have an AT2020 USB, and I like it... but to use this mixing board with three AT2020s, you would need the XLR-type interface AT2020 mic, not the USB type. (Search for "AT2020 side address" on Amazon.)
Question: Does it come with power supply cord
Answer: It depends on two things - 1: what kind of mics you have and 2: if you need all of the audio recorded into separate channels on the computer. If you have 6 mics that are XLR or need phantom power, then this will not suit your needs - this can only power 4 XLR mics. (If you have what are called dynamic mics with 1/4" plugs - or self powered condensor mics that can use 1/4" jacks - then you are fine). For the second part (about separate channels) it really depends what you want to be able to do. The USB part of this mixer records just two separate channels into the computer - the same as the left and right main output of the mixer. So if you were to use 6 mics you would have them all recorded, but all together. (Thus, if someone was too quiet, you could not just turn them up after the fact.) You can use the panning to get two completely separate tracks, but that's clearly not enough for what you're trying to do. If you want to record all 6 tracks independently you will need something more expensive. I hope this helps!
Question: I have rcf 18" subwoofer 1800w,so would this amp work on 8ohms
Answer: One possible way to use the usb mic with this mixer ( and most mixers, due to interfacing) would be to run the usb mic into a PC, change the pc settings to mic monitoring, and run the audio out from the PC back into a channel on the mixer. Currently no one manufactures a USB female input to XLR Male output audio interface, to make the mic run with the board. You also may be able to link the mixer to your PC via the on-board USB mixer interface. Through the Behringer software you should be able map the USB mic to a bus in the mixer software for output. That would prevent you from having to run audio out of the PC with microphone monitoring enabled. Let us know if you have anymore questions. Thanks Dave @ DC Music Store
