11 best guitar multi fxs
Absolutely, let's dive into the world of guitar multi-effects!
Guitar multi-effects units are like Swiss Army knives for guitarists. They combine various effects into one convenient package, letting you access a plethora of sounds without needing a pedalboard the size of a surfboard.
These units typically include effects like distortion, delay, reverb, chorus, flanger, and more. They're like having a virtual pedalboard at your feet, giving you the flexibility to experiment with different sounds and create unique tones.
One of the key advantages is the ability to save presets. This means you can dial in your favorite combination of effects, tweak to your heart's content, and then save it for later use. It's a massive time-saver, especially for musicians who play in different settings or genres.
The signal chain in these units is also customizable, allowing you to experiment with different effect orders to achieve the desired sound. Some units even come with amp modeling capabilities, letting you emulate the sound of various amplifiers and cabinets.
The convenience factor is hard to beat. Instead of dealing with a tangled mess of cables and individual pedals, you can have everything neatly organized in one unit. This is a game-changer for gigging musicians who need to set up quickly and efficiently.
However, there are purists who argue that individual pedals offer a more authentic and nuanced sound. It really comes down to personal preference. Some guitarists love the simplicity and versatility of multi-effects units, while others swear by the individuality of each pedal.
As technology advances, these units continue to get more sophisticated, with advanced features, intuitive interfaces, and better sound quality. Whether you're a bedroom player or a stage performer, a good multi-effects unit can be a fantastic addition to your gear arsenal. Anything specific you'd like to know more about?

User questions & answers
Question: | what are the measurements of the product |
Answer: | 20" x 3" x 10.5" |
Question: | Can I edit each set up by windows computer (instead of tablet or phone |
Answer: | I think you can't. I've been looking all over Line 6's website but I haven't been able to find anything yet. |
Question: | can u use line6 firehawk 1500 AMP with a bass guitar |
Answer: | I think you could, although most of the amp presets and models are guitar and not bass. I think you can download any amp models and effects you want into it, so you could just add or replace with bass modeling amps and effects. I play guitar and bass. A lot of the guitar stuff works well with bass and can sound cool too. |
Question: | Does the Firehawk FX have a loop-effect |
Answer: | Can I run a separate pedal (say, fuzz factory) into the firehawk? |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the usb port mean it has interface capabilities (can i record with it without an audio interface to pc |
Answer: | The PC recognizes the USB connection as a MIDI interface, which can be used to switch between patches. |
Question: | Can you delete only the previous loop that you recorded instead of the whole loop |
Answer: | No you can not delete part of a loop. In some other loopers you can undo one or more previous loops, but with the G1on you can not. When you delete a loop that was made on top of a a rhythm loop all the loops get deleted. It kind of sucks! This is about the only fault I can find w/ the G1on. |
Question: | I just bought a digitech-360 and found out i can't use the looper with the drum machine.. can you use the drums with the looper on this unit |
Answer: | Yes you can select a drum pattern and start playing it, then switch to looper mode and record while playing to the drum sounds. The drum sounds don't get recorded though, but you can play to the beat unlike the digitech 360. |
Question: | whats the difference between this and spending hundreds on different pedals |
Answer: | Lol! A lot, and not that much. This makes for an excellent practice pedal/tone lab. It's perfect for trying out different sounds and pedal combos and learning about basic signal path for FX. Some people even gig with this unit, though the G3X and G5X are considered more "Pro. Grade" though they have basically the same FX engine. Picking, buying, and building your own custom boutique pedal board is also rewarding and can provide some more unique and better quality FX... But you can literally spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Plus you'll need to try out the different pedals and build out a board. But individual pedals does give you flexibility DURING a performance. Note that the G1Xon has only two stomps and a wah. (Look at the manual, it's more complicated than that.) But basically (tl:dr) if you already know what sounds you want and you're a professional, spend hundreds on different pedals. If you want to experiment with different tone/FX and are primarily rehearsing and doing house of worship & coffee houses, buy the G1Xon. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Would this be a good choice for playing a bass guitar? Does it handle low end sounds safely, and would it sound good |
Answer: | Yes. These are full range flat response speakers. There is no issue on lower frequency range - I often run bass, guitar, keys, vocals and drum sequencers through my frfr 112s. You will find though the sound may be a bit boxy - the contour switch on the back fixes most of the boxy sounds - running it from a pedal into the board (compressor , EQ , or something fancier like Dark Glass) sounds great. You may consider the FRFR 112 for the extended head room. |
Question: | Does the frfr-108 have a power supply that can do 110 v to 240v |
Answer: | Hi, HeadRush support here! Thanks for your question. I can confirm the internal transformer for the FRFR-108 is not switching, we do not recommend operating a 110v unit in a 240v environment. I hope this helps and If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us directly - [email protected] Thanks, Krishan |
Question: | Will it sound good to run in combo with my vocals? Since it has a woofer & driver I would assume it could work well. I would need 2 for stereo |
Answer: | Sure.. why not? Not sure why you'd want to set them up for stereo when playing live though. That's generally a bad idea. |
Question: | Would this be suitable as keyboard amp? Since it has line inputs and they claim its sound is uncoloured, it should theoretically work fine |
Answer: | HeadRush support here! The FRFR112 would work perfectly fine as a keyboard amp. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How close in features and sound is this to the harley benton version. Looks very similar |
Answer: | It comes with a splitter cable so that you can run the pedal at 18v by combining two 9v lines from your pedal power supply. It does not come with an instrument cable nor it's own power supply. You'll need a power supply for this pedal. |
Question: | Could the power supply be used with 220v power socket |
Answer: | I purchased the Dunlop ECB004 to use with mine, and it works very well. I also use the daisy chain from my Boss tuner that powers my other pedals when I don’t feel like using the extra outlet. |
Question: | Is that the volume pedal that is attached |
Answer: | Yes, like most od pedals it has some fizz. I use a Boss noise gate pedal and it cancels out all of the fizzy. That said this is an awesome overdrive pedal. |
Question: | Does this have octave and envelope filter effects for bass |
Answer: | Yes, it has an internal gain pot and an internal presence pot. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it work for bass guitars |
Answer: | Yes, it will work for any instrument that has a pickup. Bass guitar, Steel guitar, etc. |
Question: | Is the unit able to control another pedals (such as strymon timeline) throught midi connection |
Answer: | Yes it is |
Question: | It runs on 9 Volt... how many milliampere (mA) does it require |
Answer: | I read that the HX Stomp uses the same power supply as its flagship big brother, Helix, which uses a 3 Ampere (or 3000 milliamperes) supply, so one might assume that the HX Effects uses the same 'brick' (AC Adapter, power supply, etc.). |
Question: | can you emulate a bass with a guitar |
Answer: | The HX Effects has a pitch shifting effect, so you could try. It won't sound very accurate when it comes to emulating a bass. |
