13 best bass guitar with fender amps
Bass guitars paired with Fender amps are a classic combination in the world of musical instruments and amplification. Fender is known for its iconic electric guitar and bass guitar amplifiers, and here's what you should know about using a bass guitar with Fender amps, including combo amps, electric guitar amplifiers/preamps, bass guitar amplifiers/preamps, amplifiers effects, and musical instruments:
Combo Amps: Fender produces a variety of combo amps, which are amplifiers that combine the amplifier head and speaker into a single unit. These combo amps are available for both electric guitars and bass guitars. They are known for their classic, clean tones, making them a popular choice among musicians for their simplicity and reliability.
Electric Guitar Amplifiers/Preamps: Fender's electric guitar amplifiers and preamps are renowned for their warm, clean tones. While these amps are primarily designed for electric guitars, they can also be used with bass guitars in certain situations. However, bass guitars typically require more power and specialized circuitry to reproduce their lower frequencies accurately.
Bass Guitar Amplifiers/Preamps: Fender also manufactures dedicated bass guitar amplifiers and preamps. These amplifiers are designed to handle the specific frequency range and power requirements of bass guitars. They often include features like EQ controls tailored for bass frequencies and built-in compression to enhance the instrument's dynamics.
Amplifier Effects: Fender offers a range of amplifier effects and modeling amps that can be used with both electric and bass guitars. These amps come with built-in digital effects like reverb, delay, and distortion, allowing musicians to shape their sound without the need for external pedals or processors.
Classic Tones: Many bassists and guitarists appreciate Fender amps for their classic tones, which are characterized by their warm, tube-driven sound. Fender amps have been used on countless iconic recordings across various music genres.
Versatility: Fender amps come in various sizes and power ratings, making them suitable for different musical contexts, from small practice sessions to large live performances. Bassists and guitarists can choose from a range of options to suit their specific needs.
Speaker Cabinets: In addition to combo amps, Fender also manufactures standalone speaker cabinets that can be paired with amplifier heads. This allows musicians to create custom setups by combining Fender amplifiers with different speaker configurations for a unique sound.
Musical Instruments: Fender is also known for its legendary line of musical instruments, including electric guitars and bass guitars. The combination of a Fender bass guitar with a Fender bass amplifier often produces a harmonious and iconic sound that's favored by many professional musicians.
In conclusion, Fender is a respected name in the world of amplification and musical instruments. Whether you're a guitarist or a bassist, there are Fender amps and equipment options available to help you achieve the classic tones and versatility that Fender is known for. When pairing a bass guitar with a Fender amp, it's essential to choose the right amplifier model that's specifically designed for bass frequencies to get the best results.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it worth the extra $300 to get the Rumble 500 head and the 410 and 115 cab, rather than the combo + the 115 extension |
Answer: | I have the 210 combo and 115 extension. The 115 comes with wheels and I put the 210 on a rock and roller cart. Extremely portable and very loud, it will get louder than your ears can stand. I would say the combo and 115 are plenty. Not worth getting the head and 410, just a waste of money and more weight to carry around. |
Question: | As a stand alone unit, are the 210's pushing 500 watts, or do you need to attach another cabinet at lower ohms to get your 500 watts |
Answer: | As a standalone unit the two 10 inch speakers are pushing 350 Watts at 8 ohms (Internal). You need to attach an external 8 ohm speaker cabinet to get 500 Watts. Attaching the external 8 ohm speaker cabinet brings the total impedance down to 4 ohms and that is when you get the maximum 500 Watts. |
Question: | I'm helping a friend pick out a bass & amp for her son. Would this amp be loud enough for a small entry-level garage band |
Answer: | I remember way back when I was in my first band. I had an ampeg B-15 and it was woefully underpowered. All I got out of it was a ton of distortion. It can be very frustrating for a new player to have to deal with poor sound. I’ve known guys who have given up playing because of the frustration of dealing with noise instead of music. I would use a 25w amp for practicing by myself but for a garage band I would go with a minimum of 100w. |
Question: | is this amp usable in new zealand |
Answer: | I turned mine upside down and it still worked so I suppose it will be OK down there. (On mine, input power is marked 100-120V @ 50-60 HZ, 70W.) |

User questions & answers
Question: | What kind of power supply does this use? Can I plug into the wall or does it take batteries? I'm not very familiar with amplifiers, thanks |
Answer: | Documentation does not say, not on the box either. Coverage area indicates it is 2.4. Works very well I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck. |
Question: | Would this be good for Karaoke (I have a Karaoke Mixer) or for connecting to a Projector to boost the sound |
Answer: | It depends on the dealer's policy. |
Question: | Does it come with a wire |
Answer: | Just received the DWS-3 system today on recommendations from numerous reviews and forums. Plugged it in using my Warwick Thumb 5-string and GK mb500. No discernible difference from using a standard cable. Handled the low B string just fine. I’m confident it will do fine at gig this weekend with GK+SWR Goliath III cab. |
Question: | Can this amp used for violin? Does it has speakers |
Answer: | As it is I found that mine did also , after research for a few minutes I found that it was my input jack on the guitar . Don’t know if this helps but I cleaned mine with a burst of compressed air and it helped but ultimately I changed the jack out for a new one and I now have crisp and clear sound . |

Question: | can i record through garage band |
Answer: | honestly I've never separated the cabs I Velcro'd it stacked so its like a full stack, lemme go check THEN...................................... OK checked, heres the lo Down.. the chorus is in full stereo meaning it echos in both right and left speakers however its simultaneous and does not PAN left and right like an echoplex or true stereo echo that I could tell? you'll laugh anyways at the chord that comes with the 103, its like 24 inches long.. WHY? its phone plugs so EASY to find old home style phone cables, dunno your age maybe you've never seen one? yea int he day we had our phones connected to a wall outlet with a cable, its like a small like cat5 (rj45 is the standard name) you've seen cat5 its what your computer hooks up to the Ethernet with..all in all its WELL worth it its a GREAT little amp specially with the full stack setup, the echo works FANTASTIC and quite frankly I wish I had one that worked that well on my bigger stuff despite the non stereo panning, I have a Johnson Two Fifty and a Digitech GSP 2101 studio tube for all that stuff, yea man get a Johnson 150 250 or the digitech GSP 2101 if you want true stereo panning, WOW, I work it in QUAD and can dial it in however I like cuz its FULLY programmable with algorithms!!!tell you what tho I have mic's this little Blackstar and IT ROCKS!!! yup, if you have a board that does stereo panning then there ya go! crank n go, funny what I like to do is plug my acoustic into it then mic the Blackstar through the PA and recording or playing live that way SUCH A NICE CRISP CLEAN SOUND because yo don't have all that power in the way stepping on its own dork soaking up all the interference if ya know what I mean, try it you will be totally surprised, typing in this minuscule dialogue box is difficult at best, why so small Amazon?its a great little box (fact I tried em all cept the orange that I'm told is compatable and it smokes them ALL)not sure what you need it to do but for whatever the hunnerd for both is a FANTASTIC deal considering what it can do and the sound that can come out of it... distortion works well too, I love the little thing i use it at the park then in my bedroom so the neighbors can sleep and I don't have to pay finesfor an electric I use a nice 61 Strat that has some really really hot hand wound Gepettos then those run into a FULL Clapton mid boost, the works, yup so that lil boost in signal really makes that Blackstar a beast in its own rights..all in all I give it 10 stars with the other speaker |
Question: | it has a footswitch jack, can you go from a clean sound hit the switch and go into over drive for a solo |
Answer: | Blackstar has their own power supply specifically for this. Amazon sells it on it's own for around $20, and I believe when you buy the 3 pack, the Blackstar power supply comes with it. I can't say for sure, as I bought just the single unit. Save yourself the trouble and buy the 3-pack - the amp on it's own is incredible, and the stack is well worth the price. Just make sure it comes with the proprietary Blackstar power supply. |
Question: | Does Fuse work with this amp |
Answer: | absolutely not ! The fly 3 runs on 6volts /positive tip . When you buy the fly on amazon, the planet waves adaptor is suggested . My friend bought the fly to his son and pluged it on a 9 volts adapter...... he blew the amp . You may pay a little more but buy the right adapter, it works well and saves batteries |
Question: | What is in the box |
Answer: | Yes, for the extension cabinet, which expands this from 3w to 6w. The 3-pack is a good deal, because a) you get better volume but mainly because b) it includes the power supply, which means that c) the extension cabinet is virtually free. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Es una guitarra o es un bajo |
Answer: | Listing is for one cableThanks |
Question: | I bot this bass for my grandson. what do the three knobs on the bass do? front, middle, back? they don't seem to work. no instructions with this kit |
Answer: | you would need an adapter from 1/4" to 3.5mm, male/female configuration depending on which end of the cable you connecting to the mic cable |
Question: | Is this a full-scale bass or short-scale |
Answer: | It is exactly that. An auxiliary cable connects 2 instruments with the same plug at both ends, for the audio part. It is called interchangeably, audio or aux. |
Question: | Can the bass be played right out of the box or does it require professional setup (e,g, adjusting the truss rod, intonation, etc.) before playing it |
Answer: | I would think that as long as you have the correct jack. I use this to connect my MacBook 2008 to a Denon home theater receiver. Both of the cord's ends plug into the headphone jacks. |

Question: | Can I plug my bass into this amp and get reasonable sound for practice |

User questions & answers
Question: | Would this bs a good fit for the Joyo ssries mini heads |
Answer: | Should be good with any 15 or 20 watt head — or more. I use mine with Orange Tiny Terror and a Quilter 40 watt. My son often uses the Fender cab with the Quilter. These little Fender cabs are nice. |
Question: | Does it work with acoustic electric guitar |
Answer: | Yes it does. While not a true acoustic amp it does a nice job |
Question: | Are you getting the amp head and the speaker cabinet |
Answer: | No, just the speaker cabinet with one 12" Celestion speaker. |
Question: | I have the super champ XD combo. Will this speaker work |
Answer: | Yes it will work. You can use the line out on the back or you can unplug the built in speaker of the combo and use this instead. I prefer the latter as it seems to have different sonic qualities than the line out. However, remember to NEVER run your amp without a speaker load on the main output. It will damage your circuits. |

Answer: | Absolutely. I’ve got a Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass, and they work very well together. Further, there is a very perceptive sound difference when toggling between active and passive, though both modes sound great. |

Answer: | It does have an XLR ext speaker out and one 1/4 jack line out. |
Question: | Does the amp software need to be updated and if yes can it be done with a Mac |
Answer: | Yes, there will be occasional firmware updates. You do not need a computer or device. Connect the amp to wifi, then restart the amp while holding down the encoder (select) button for five seconds. Easy peasy. |
Question: | Does this have a drum track to play along to |
Answer: | No but with the Fender Tone app you can bluetooth any audio and play along |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is input power as 110 volt, 220 Volt,or 110-240 Volt |
Answer: | Metal band in a 1000 seat venue-no, local bar,100 people or less, normal drummer should be OK. A friend of mine has the 100 watt version and has been playing local gigs at 50 watts, says its just loud enough, works fine. |
Question: | Does this come in black |
Answer: | Yes. The extra features that it brings makes the MKII much more useful. |
Question: | How does the Aux input work |
Answer: | Runs the amp at 50 watts, 25 or .5 watts, different levels depending on the volume you need. .5 watt is great for when the kids are sleeping. |
Question: | Is this suitable for an electric violin |
Answer: | There are a few more effects on the MkII and the pots for effects are now dual pots to make it easier to dial in... AMP IN is now on the Katana to allow you to plug in a multi-effects board etc and bypass the amp settings.. The "sneaky amps" available on the MkI are blocked out on the MkII.. but you get 5 more voice settings on the 5 amps available for the MkII.. newer and easier software.. Patches made for the MkI work with the MkII, but the MkII patches do not work on the MkI. |

Answer: | Yes, the '57 Custom Champ comes with a fitted cover. |

Answer: | 110v |
Question: | Is this a good harmonica amp |
Answer: | No idea. My guess is that it would be overkill for a harmonica amp but I don't understand the specific needs of a harp player. You're always playing through a microphone for a harmonica, right? In that context it seems a bit ridiculous to spend this kind of money. Or is this question meant in jest? |

Question: | How can I get a replacement for my fender cable |
Answer: | No, this unit does not beep every 15 seconds. It is nothing more than a splitter circuit with 3.5 mm connectivity; no functionality beyond that. I have used this circuit problem-free for 13 years now. It's very reliable and it does a fine job. |
Question: | Can it be used to connect KRK Rokit 5 to Mbox |
Answer: | It is not all that long, but I don't see why you could not put in a thin wall. I don't know what ratings it or any cable might have. |
Question: | will this work with a bass guitar |
Answer: | The cable they supplied to me failed immediately. The RCA contacts were covered in hard plastic and they were not designed to last. The price was a tip off. It was very inexpensive and the quality was extremely poor. |
Question: | can it use for connection from ampliter to wireless microphone? because I lost the cable for connection |
Answer: | Thank you for the inquiry. This 3.5 mm M/F shielded Stereo Audio Extension Cable will work with CD Players, Stereos, Speakers, PC/TV Tuners and other audio devices. Feel free to contact if any further assistance will be required today.Regards,Abacus24-7 |

Question: | Can I use this to set up my Fender Rumble 15 as a bass monitor, and use the sound system at the same time |
Answer: | Looking at the base from the front. The right knob is overall volume. The other two are pickup specific volume, the middle knob controls the pickup closest to the fretboard. Hope that makes sense. |
Question: | Can i play 2 bass amps at once with this |
Answer: | Full, long scale is the more correct term. It is a 34 inch scale bass. |
Question: | My guitar uses magnetic and piezo pickups out through 1 stereo output jack. can i plug a stereo cable directly and split the input to both a & b chls |
Answer: | Mine played very well right out of the box. No adjustments needed. It would have been nice if instructions told you which volume/tone knob controlled which pickup (I'm a beginner). |
Question: | volt power products with Fender ABY |
Answer: | Hello - you cannot use this item for WiFi strength. There are apps you can download to your phone. Just search WiFi signal strength in the App Store / Google play |

User questions & answers
Question: | This cable doesn't fit my Fender Stratocaster... What is this cable supposed to fit |
Answer: | The supplied cable fit my Fender Stratocaster perfectly. What size plug is on your cable? It should be a 1/4" plug. Either you were sent the wrong cable by mistake, or your Strat has an aftermarket mod to change the jack size. I've never heard of anyone doing that, but it's possible. |
Question: | Does this come with a power cord |
Answer: | Yes it does.. I did not get bundle with instrument cord & picks but I did get the power cord with mine.. hope this helps. I like the amp. |
Question: | where is it made |
Answer: | I have no idea where it was made. Bought this 2 years sgo. My grandson loves it. Does everything. Great sound.. |
Question: | Can this amp be used for an electric acoustic guitar |
Answer: | I don’t know-but I don’t see why not! |
