Answer:	I would think so. I have a scoped M1903, which I imagine is about the length of an M14. It fits fine. I have a Mosin which is longer, and for that one, the muzzle has to go behind the installed top shelf (there's space there), so I have to angle that one in to put it against the back wall. But, if I put it towards the front by the door, it fits fine in front of all the installed shelves (where longer guns can fit by design).

Answer:	Best thing to do is lag three 2x4s (top midway bottom above wall molding) cut to width of cabinet to your wall studs (predrill and counter sink the 2x4s) then lag through the back of the cabinet (use washers) into the 2x4s. This is rock solid and allows the cabinet to clear molding, 2x4 at top prevents stuff from falling behind cabinet. Remember this type of cabinet is safety/theft deterrence not asset protection from fire or determined thief with time.
