User questions & answers

Question: Is this pedal have reverse polarity
Answer: No... standard battery power source, mine is powered with a power block, standard in a pedal boards set up. Didn’t require anything special, as for its internal construction I’m in America so plug and play away, you will go through battery’s fast so get a power block some come as sets with everything you need including multiple voltage choices since certain pedals require specific power voltage. Play on...
Question: Can this be used with an acoustic guitar as well
Answer: Yes, If your acoustic guitar is equiped with an electronic pickup.
Question: Can get the distortion of Metallica's "...and justice for all" album with this, palm mute and everything
Answer: No, it's closer to snarly overdrives than that kind of thrash. You'd wanna try their ultra distortion or ultra metal pedals instead.
Question: Will this get the same effect as a tube screamer
Answer: No it won't. Better to buy a tube screamer for that. If you are on a budget the Joyo vintage overdrive will get you closer than this one.

User questions & answers

Question: I'm curious if this would power a dynamic mic such as the Rode Podmic well
Answer: Being a dynamic mic, there is no "power" needed. The Rode Podmic has a rather high impedance and that might be what you're asking about, but there too, the mic and the preamp are well suited to each other. I bought one when it was on a crazy sale price but I think the better deal is the BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UMC202HD, 2-Channel as it's two channels and a it's little cleaner. The tube doesn't gets you much and the limiter/eq knob is a toy. The UMC202HD is a remarkably good deal and if you ever think you might record two channels at the same time, spent a little extra and be happier in the long run.
Question: how much headphone impedance/ohms can this power? im planning on using 250ohms-600ohms headphones on these
Answer: Will be fine
Question: Can i connect this to a compressor
Answer: Yes, connections are available
Question: Does it read and record properly on Facebook live
Answer: Hi, I have never tried it on Facebook live but I find that it does a decent job of recording - sometimes the signal is too hot; so, one needs to watch out. In terms of noise, it is not as bad as (perhaps due to the cables and the signal). Other than the phone level (I can't remember why I didn't like it - it was some time ago), I am very happy with the product.

User questions & answers

Question: I have a solid state Fender 65R. Would this work with it in daisy chain or in effects loop
Answer: You cannot daisy chain this, please use the power supply that is made for this because it runs off ac voltage power supply and it takes a lot of amperage. You can connect it to the affects loop.
Question: Can i use the microphone XLR input and use the 1/4 inch output to allow me to sing vocals through guitar effects
Answer: Never tried that.It should not matter about the input being XLR and the output 1/4" as long as they are good solid conections. However the outcome,it won't hurt anything to try it...
Question: Would this device work in a switchable effects loop on a guitar amp to add more grit/gain
Answer: It would work in effects loop. I use it for that purpose. I use it in effects loop in both my Fender 65r solid state amp, and fender mustang floor. It will not replace an overdrive effects pedal nor it was intended for that. What it does real well is add a little gain, and warmth to your tone without coloring it. The effect is very subtle but pleasantly noticable. It is very subtle even when gain is turned all the way to max, and set in the valve position. So the question, does it improve the tone? Yes. Is it worth $50? Yes. Does it do miracles? No. Does it replace a tube amp or an effects pedal? No.
Question: Does this come with a power supply
Answer: Yes, it comes with a DC adapter you plug in to the wall outlet. It's a little weird because it doesn't have an on/off switch, to turn it on or off you just connect or disconnect the power cord.

User questions & answers

Question: Can you plug straight into a passive speaker cab with this and get any sound
Answer: I would say that you might be able to plug into the FX Return of an amp and just use the power amp section. Otherwise, you would still need a clean power amp. I used to do that with my SansAmp BDDDI all the time.
Question: The led just flashes forever, changed the tube, thinking bad pedal
Answer: the LED should only flash until the tube is warmed up. Might want to try another tube. Did it keep flashing with the original tube?Bear in mined that I tried swapping a few tubes including NOS ones, and preferred the one it shipped with. YMMV...
Question: Its possible get a big muff violin like sound with this pedal
Answer: I don't think so. This pedal, amazing by the way, is an overdrive and gives you a good sustain but it's different than big muff's violin sound. The proposal and the sound are different because big muff is a fuzz pedal. It's architecture and circuits are different.
Question: Can this unit be used for harmonica playing also
Answer: Any overdrive pedal can be used to create an overdrive sound to a harmonica mic provided it's wired for a high impedance 1/4 phone jack. It should be noted that any mic used with overdrives or overdriven amps are more prone to feedback.

Now the LEDs on the frequency sliders illuminate in varying levels of intensity, showing you exactly which bands need to be adjusted for optimal performance.

This is especially handy for eliminating the low-frequency feedback typically associated with hollow-body, electric-acoustic and upright basses.
