Answer: I took the new spout and used my origanial screw nut . The new one was a little small for my can.. so i just swaped the nuts out and ready to go. Hope this helps. I love mine no leaks and with the end cap i leave little lose when in storage so can does not swell up.

Steel Gerry cans are 6.5” x 13.5” x 18.5”, and that is what fits in this carrier. As a result, most standard plastic five gallon cans will never fit.
