9 best continental tire rating
Continental is a well-known tire manufacturer that produces a wide range of tires, including those designed for motorcycles and scooters. When it comes to tire ratings for Continental motorcycle and scooter tires, several key factors and ratings are important to consider:
Tire Size: The size of the tire is crucial as it determines the compatibility with your motorcycle or scooter. It is typically indicated on the sidewall of the tire and includes information about the width, aspect ratio, and rim diameter (e.g., 120/70 R17).
Speed Rating: The speed rating indicates the maximum speed at which the tire can safely operate under its recommended load capacity. Continental motorcycle tires usually have speed ratings that correspond to different maximum speeds. Common speed ratings for motorcycle tires include "S" (up to 112 mph), "H" (up to 130 mph), "V" (up to 149 mph), and "W" (up to 168 mph).
Load Index: The load index provides information about the maximum weight that the tire can safely support. It's essential to choose a tire with a load index that meets or exceeds the weight requirements of your motorcycle or scooter.
Tread Pattern and Type: Continental offers a variety of tread patterns and tire types designed for different riding conditions. These include sport tires for performance, touring tires for long-distance rides, and off-road tires for dirt and gravel roads. The choice of tread pattern and type should match your riding style and the surfaces you'll encounter.
DOT Rating: Continental motorcycle and scooter tires should meet Department of Transportation (DOT) standards, ensuring they are safe and legal for road use in the United States.
Tire Construction: Understanding the tire's construction is important. Continental offers different tire constructions, such as bias-ply and radial, each with its own characteristics in terms of ride comfort, stability, and durability.
Terrain and Weather Conditions: Consider the specific riding conditions you'll encounter, whether it's wet or dry pavement, off-road trails, or a combination of both. Continental offers tires designed for various terrain and weather conditions to enhance safety and performance.
Reviews and Recommendations: It can be helpful to read reviews from other riders and seek recommendations from experts or motorcycle forums to get insights into how Continental tires perform in real-world situations.
Warranty: Check if Continental provides any warranty or guarantee for their motorcycle and scooter tires, as this can provide added peace of mind regarding the quality and durability of the tires.
When selecting Continental tires for your motorcycle or scooter, it's crucial to match the tire specifications to your specific riding needs and the requirements of your vehicle. Additionally, following proper tire maintenance and inflation guidelines is essential to ensure safety and performance while on the road.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it it come with rims or just tires |
Answer: | My instruction book says the scanner has 128MB of built memory available to store about 50 scanned images. The scanner will also accept SD, SDHC and SDXC cards with a max of 128GB. I have not found a way to tell how much memory is in the scanner. I have scanned over 1400 slides so far and it is great. The scanner has a counter that counts the number of scans but I wish there was a way to reset it. The Model FS51 has 64mB of internal memory per the specifications, Maybe the rep was looking at this one. Hope this helps. |
Question: | Are these DOT approved |
Answer: | It scans all negative film, up to 35mm. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this tire be safely used on the front and rear of a 1965 harley panhead flh? does this tire size equate to a 500 x 16 tire |
Answer: | Hi. The answer is a simple and resounding "no". This is a toy. For some consumers it would be handy as an archive reference only. For pros it's a paperweight. It sort of tries but doesn't really hold negatives flat, especially ends of strips (forget single frames). Color is inconsistent and adjustment is very limited and clumsy. The selling point is large file size (total waste with the poor scans). Might be better with slides but I didn't try that. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the production date for this tire |
Answer: | Yes. Their plastic slide holder has slots for the slide and it's cardboard frame. I was able to copy over 100 slides in no time, and loved the quality, especially since the sides were over 50 years old! |
Question: | Does this tire come with a manufactuers warranty |
Answer: | If the negative was good and in focus, I believe you could make a 8 x 10 in without a problem.I used Photoshop to clean up some minor issues, like dust I failed to get off of the negative. I was very pleased with the old family photo's. This isn't a commercial unit, which might cost $2,500-$4,000. |

User questions & answers
Question: | is it rear and front tire |
Answer: | No. The scanner records the movie internally at 20fps (not scanning speed), which it needs to do to eliminate flicker and encode mp4 onto an sd card. It never retains any images, unlike the Reflecta super 8+ scanner. It's a good question but again, no images available to save to re-encode into a better image than these units produce. To me, the end results with these are not good. Telecine with an old projector gives much better results and these very cheaply made scanners are toys that will not last. DRagging the film over the film gate is also a bad idea with 8mm film prints. |
Question: | Will this fit on a 2015 kawasaki vulcan s? the stock rear tires are 160/60r17 and i believe the wheels are 17x |
Answer: | Kind of. I’ve done about 10 rolls of both 8mm and super 8. No matter what size reel you have, if there is a splice, it’ll hang up and you’ll have to manually pull it through, so you can completely walk away and ignore the transfer process. The 5” and 7” reels tend to stop half way through, which for those reels can be a 4 hr process. It almost seems like the machine overheats, which is funny because you dont feel any heat. I shut it off and continue later. This creates another file, but oh well, depending on what video editor/creator you plan on using, this just makes a chapter or a splice. If i wasnt so frugal and only had a few reels, id have used costco or walmarts service, but oh well, i plan on reselling this after im done. I really dont see why these are $300. Its all plastic, should be $79.95, but this was the only one that accepted 7” reels. Hope this helped |
Question: | Will these fit a 2000 cbr f |
Answer: | First you need to take the film to be developed - this does not develop film. And I am sure that you will not have any decent images on 110 film that is 35 years old - it was one of the worst films ever invented and had a very short life expectancy back in the day. It was created to be taken and developed quickly. |
Question: | Es el par como esta en la foto o solo uno |
Answer: | No it will not. You need a professional level scanner especially if you want to scan images shot for any business like wedding photos. Hasselblad makes an interesting design, but it❜s pricey and it handles up to 4” - 5” with 135 smallest and 645/120 the sweet spot for resolution, generates around 385MB huge file if you want them that big. Or you can try a top-level flatbed transparency option by Linotype-Hell or a related company. |
