Answer:	The cleaning instructions tell the user to wipe it, not immerse it in water. I don't believe this was designed to be waterproof. My opinion is that it would not be a good choice for a shower chair because of the stitching. The water would probably leak through.

Answer:	It's very comfortable. If you gotta go, this is the seat to do it on :) I would recommend it.

Answer:	T. Howard answered you that these are chrome plated plastic not solid metal. T. Howard has another model than the 13CP 000 Soft Toilet Seat, or he is mistaken. I got this model and the hinges are undoubtedly solid metal, and they are chrome. I don't think that any chrome fixture is solid chrome, but rather chrome plated over a stronger metal, this is my belief. But, whether solid chrome, or chrome plate over a different metal, the hinges are most certainly solid metal. They ring when struck, and I do not know of a plastic on earth that will do that. Additionally they are appropriately heavy and I believe they would probably bend before they would break, though some inferior metals will shatter. I'm unwilling to hit them with a sledge-hammer to see if they will shatter. The entire visible hinge assembly is chrome. But herein lies the rub. I don't know if the seat should have come with a plastic fitting assembly and it was left out of the order I got, but without it (meaning plastic washers and adjusting tubular container for the bolt to pass through as it passes through the ceramic bowl, with a gripping plastic underside washer to go with either a metal bolt or I think preferably a large plastic adjustable gripping bolt) It seems unlikely that I would be expected to get this stuff independent of the seat, but maybe. Anyway without it the bare metal on the ceramic bowl is unworkable. I went ahead and mounted the seat with only whatever came with the seat. It stays tight for about 1 day then very rapidly begins increasingly shifting around on the bowl. I'm a bit germ-phobic and for that reason am extra unwilling to reach under and behind the toilet to awkwardly tighten the bolt again and again and again every day or two but I would not be willing to do that even if in a household with 2 men it magically remained sterile, it's just absurd, its falling-off loose all the time. I can NOT figure out how to contact this company Mayfair, to get a fix for this problem. So, yes all metal chrome hinges. And no, I'm not happy about it!

Answer:	My thought is that it would fit any OVAL Kohler toilet. My toilet is not Kohler and it fits very well.

Answer:	I would assume that it would fit any oblong shaped toilet. We measured ours first just to make sure. Our toilet isn’t even a Koehler brand and it fits perfectly. We love this toilet seat. It looks and works great. Our daughter prefers using this over the little potty we had on the floor at first. We don’t miss emptying that thing!

Answer:	It barely fits our elongated toilet, and I am not familiar with glacier bay. But it is pretty snug against the tank and if your handle is not a slimline design, the lid(s) will not stay up. We also had difficulty assembling it. I would NOT buy it again. Luckily I saved the old one.

Answer:	This product can be used for 'most' toilets either standard or elongated. The locking mechanism in the front will secure it to the front of the bowl.

Answer:	Yes, at least mine does just fine on my American Standard 2 piece (2 piece only that the water tank is connected to the lower bowl and it is attached with two bolts and rubber seals to prevent leaking, which is pretty standard). It just pins the back of the plastic seat riser under the back lip of porcelain by twisting the knob on a plastic shaft with rubber on it, to wedge it solidly. It is IDENTICAL but much cheaper than the Vive.

Answer:	I usually use milk to make milkshakes, such as avocado milkshake, dragon fruit milkshake, banana milkshake, etc. I have never tried without water or milk. Generally, liquid needs to be added.

Answer:	Yes, we use it for frozen smoothies, and it can easily mix frozen blackberries and strawberries together, so blend hard fruits and vegetables shouldn't be a problem.

Answer:	I tried raw peanuts with shells in the past and it was still possible, but walnuts have not been tried. Peeled walnuts should be fine.
Question:	Does the riser have a hinge between the bowl and the riser to rotate up for cleaning
Answer:	Yes! Both travel cups are hard, sturdy plastic. Put it this way, they bounce when you drop them on the floor and do not crack or break. The lids are also very sturdy and all extremely easy to clean. I have had mine for about 2 weeks or so and very happy with it thus far.

Question:	does this fit on a one piece elongated toilet
Answer:	Less - width is 13 3/4" from side to side as it sits on top of toilet bowl. Including arms width is 21 1/4" wide. Hope this helps.
Question:	Do I take my current seat off and attach this one? Or does my seat sit on top of this one
Answer:	If my memory is correct it has no latch on the lip. What it has is long bolts that go through the back and your seat sits on top. I sent mine back. Not because of that because it was too high for my mother
Question:	How do you measure the bowl to see if it will fit
Answer:	Have you searched Amazon? That's where I purchased mine. I haven't looked for the standard type because the toilets in 3 my bathrooms are all elongated.
Question:	Does this fit an elongated toilet seat
Answer:	While the paper work and the website say that you can use your existing seat and cover assembly, that is only "kind of" true. The long bolts for the seat riser are designed to pass through the seat hinge, and if you have a new "click to connect" or "flip to lock" seat hinge, it will not work. You must use a old style seat hinge set up that has bolt holes in it. I end up using a seat assembly with a plastic hinge to make it easier to drill out the bolt hole to accommodate the large lag bolts that are supplied with the Vive seat riser assembly. If you have an older seat set up, it will probably work just fine, but if you have a modern seat with the quick disconnect feature, it will not work. All that said, even with having to get a new cheap $19.95 toilet seat to go with this , it only took about 15 minutes to install, and once installed, it is quite sturdy.

Answer:	It is very sturdy. I am not sure it is wide enough to put the walker on it. see if the walker legs are less than 17.5 inches. I use it to give that extra height to get into tall bed.

Answer:	You would have to check each step size by their description. This step works satisfactory for my difficulty in stepping on to our kitchen from outdoors.
