• Place one handle at a time into the tubes on the raised toilet seat.
• To remove the handles depress the brass buttons while pulling out on the handles.

Note: Handles are marked for right and left.

• Remove existing toilet seat and lid from toilet.

Note: For most toilets you will need to reach behind and underneath toilet to unscrew the nut while holding screw with screwdriver (not included).

Add the Seat Elevator

• Position toilet seat elevator on rim of toilet bowl and center.
• Place original toilet seat and lid on top of toilet seat elevator with holes lined up.
• Use screws provided to attach original seat, lid and toilet seat elevator to bowl. Secure with nuts provided.

Answer:	If the flange is the hard plastic round thing that secures this item to the toilet, it is 1/2 inches and doesn't move when I sit down. I only have 1 leg and I lower myself from a walker. I feel very safe that this item won't move and send me toppling.

Answer:	While the paper work and the website say that you can use your existing seat and cover assembly, that is only "kind of" true. The long bolts for the seat riser are designed to pass through the seat hinge, and if you have a new "click to connect" or "flip to lock" seat hinge, it will not work. You must use a old style seat hinge set up that has bolt holes in it. I end up using a seat assembly with a plastic hinge to make it easier to drill out the bolt hole to accommodate the large lag bolts that are supplied with the Vive seat riser assembly. If you have an older seat set up, it will probably work just fine, but if you have a modern seat with the quick disconnect feature, it will not work. All that said, even with having to get a new cheap $19.95 toilet seat to go with this , it only took about 15 minutes to install, and once installed, it is quite sturdy.

Question:	how high is the rizer itself
Answer:	This product can be used for 'most' toilets either standard or elongated. The locking mechanism in the front will secure it to the front of the bowl.
Question:	what is the weight limit
Answer:	Yes, at least mine does just fine on my American Standard 2 piece (2 piece only that the water tank is connected to the lower bowl and it is attached with two bolts and rubber seals to prevent leaking, which is pretty standard). It just pins the back of the plastic seat riser under the back lip of porcelain by twisting the knob on a plastic shaft with rubber on it, to wedge it solidly. It is IDENTICAL but much cheaper than the Vive.
Question:	Does toilet bowl size matter
Answer:	Sorry, I can't help on that one but a big thank you for the heads up-- I will pay close attention when I remove it to wash it.
Question:	Does this work on an elongated bowl
Answer:	Mine has four steps - 28 inches from front to back - 7 inches per step - can't answer about the one in the picture

Answer:	The seat locked securely for me the first week. But after that, the back left screw kept loosening and falling to the floor. Maybe it’s the shape of my elongated toilet but I ended up buying a different model as I had foot surgery and can’t put any weight on my foot for three weeks.

• Use the "L" Key to tighten and loosen as needed

Side Brackets

• The side brackets can be adjusted for round or elongated toilet bowls
• Insert the two brackets into the two remaining holes

Place on your Toilet Bowl and Adjust Brackets

• Adjust the 3 bracket points to tighten the raised toilet seat.
