Question:	does the pot leak
Answer:	I agree. Why have a choice of 1-4 cups? If you put 2 cups of water it’ll brew 2 cups. It would be nice for me if I could fill the water up to 12 cups and brew 2 cups a day for several days. You’d just have to add new coffee not water. I’m considering buying this machine but I’m not sure how long the coffee will stay hot. I have a Mr coffee now and it only stays hot about an hour.

Answer:	This does not have a water filter.( Cuisinart brand do have a filter as well as some Mr Coffee FYI ).Water source makes a big difference on taste. Try it with another water source and test for yourself.

Answer:	The water gets hot enough but we had trouble with the lid flow valve sticking closed. At times the coffee would not flow through into the pot and would run over on the counter & floor. Had to make sure the valve in the top was open when assembling for brewing in the morning. Seemed like the valve would stick easily. I returned our coffee maker because it ran over twice.

Answer:	Not only does the lid not drain without effort to empty from the smaller hole, the pot won't completely empty without extra effort to ensure it is empty. This machine is a disappointment.

Answer:	I have purchased 3 of these over the years because of failure. All of them have have had the plate problem. The latest maker was purchased in Mar. 2018 and I've never placed the carafe on the plate while it's warm and have always wiped down the carafe with paper towel. Yet, it's still corroding. This shouldn't be happening.

Question:	Online documentation? I found some info and it looks like it will work for the following B&W coffee makers
Answer:	I have B +D model # DCM100B, Type 1 and I can assure you that neither of the lids allows for usage with the coffee maker. I'm giving up and buying a whole new unitl No one seems to have a carafe that fits my coffee maker, unless I can find one at a second-hand store, I don't know if one exists. Surely NOT one from B + D.
Question:	Will this carafe work with model 1050B, if I use the flap lid from the original carafe that broke
Answer:	I had the hardest time replacing mine for the same reason. I finally got smart and called B&D directly. I told them the problem, that I thought it was a weakness in the top design, the model number of my coffee maker. They sent me a new carafe, no charge, within the week--faster than Amazon might have sent it and no charge to boot! The one I bought from Amazon worked, but obvious it was not specifically designed for my coffee maker, as I had to sort of wiggle it to get it seated properly.
Question:	will this fit a B&D model CM4000S? thanks
Answer:	Not sure which model is which, but the two lids it came with does not fit our coffee maker. However, our old lid did fit the carafe and therefore works. If you order this model try your old lid on the new carafe.
Question:	Will this fit model CM 1050B
Answer:	When you purchase this replacement carafe, there are 2 flap-lids: one is for models DXL1050B, DE755B, DCM100B, CM1010B & CM5050. The other flap-lid to the carafe fits models DXL1050W, DE755 & DCM100W. The bubble on the top of the lid is too tall for the model CM1050B and catches on the Sneak-a-Cup auto-stop drip valve at the bottom of the drip basket. I called B&D and the carafes are on back-order and not available for at least 2 weeks and cost $17.99---a whole coffee maker at WalMart is only $19.99!! However, this replacement carafe (for model GC3000B) CAN work---it is just a very TIGHT fit with the most shallow lid and if you are not careful, you will pull down your coffee maker when you try to remove the carafe and makes the filter basket a tiny bit cocked while the carafe is inserted. I wish I had known the flap-lid was removeable when I broke my carafe and I would have saved it. It was such a shock to me to hold a skeleton of my carafe that I just threw it all away!

Answer:	Well, the Victorian Vintage Rose Flower decals are only that, decals, made for the KitchenAid mixers. As far as the unit goes though, operates on 110V. I looked it up and found this "The bottom line is we don't recommend use of the units outside the US...due to the hazards that could arise." I understand units can be made with modifications outside U.S. but they are more expensive. If you love to bake though I think it would be worth it.
