Answer:	I'd recommend at least an N-95 mask. They're reasonably priced. If your cleaning mold from a room with a window in it, I'd recommend putting a fan near the window to draw the air OUT of the room while cleaning.

Answer:	Spraying seems to be the most popular way to apply this product. However, I paint it on the molded surfaces with a paint brush to be sure I get good coverage. This seems to save the product somewhat. So, if you paint it on, it should cover about as much as a gallon of paint with a single coat, 40 feet X 8 feet or about 320 square feet.

Question:	Can I use this in my attic on rafters and underside of roof sheathing? Is it okay for the roofing nails that penetrate the plywood
Answer:	Some work areas like outdoors are already well ventilated, so skin and eye protection are mainly needed. Especially indoors, we still always recommend wearing full PPE when applying RMR-86. Answer:	Mold, whether in a colony or individual spore has the same cellular structure. This product is disruptive to that cellular structure. So once it is applied to mold, it cannot survive.

Answer:	Yes, this product cleans mold on all soft surfaces without damaging the fabrics or leather. However, it is not a bleach and will not remove dark stains.
Question:	Does it just kill mold, or does it also kill mold spores
Answer:	Add 4 oz. to a quart bottle, then fill with water. A 16 oz. bottle will make 4 quarts. We have found it to be more cost effective this way and we use a lot of it!

Answer:	If you want to treat your pots, pans, and dinnerware, you can fill her sink up with water and add one ounce of EC3 Mold Solution Concentrate and just dip them into the solution and allow them to air dry. Once Dry rinse them off with water and allow them to dry.

Answer:	I had a real stubborn block in my kitchen sink and I used two bottles of this product with no result. I then bought SCOTCH CORPORATION 1969 Hair & Grease Drain Opener A Non-Acid Formulation, 1 L, let it sit over night and my drain is flowing like brand new. Hope this helps. Question:	As apposed to wiping my kitchen ware like dishes and pans individually with Ec3, Can I soak a few of them together in a solution of this somehow
Answer:	It says it’s safe for all pipes and septic systems, if you have a problem and it destroys your pipes or toilet, chances are your pipes were close to being bad anyways but I would still contact the company and make them pay for damages assuming you can prove with a plumbing inspection that this caused your problem

Question:	Would this work on a memory foam mattress
Answer:	I wouldn't recommend using any liquid period on a memory foam mattress. Moisture can ruin the foam and not just aestheticly. Think about a kitchen sponge, it never fully recovers to original form once wet and gets worse over time....that's essentially what you're doing to your bed.
Question:	My cleaning lady likes to use bleach to clean - is this an effective alternative? Thanks
Answer:	The active ingredient in liquid bleach is sodium hypochlorite. The active ingredient in this product is sodium hypochlorite, so it's the same thing, not an alternative. I don't understand why people would pay $17 for 1/4 gallon of bleach and some added surfactant myself. I can buy 5 gallons of 12.5% sodium hypochlorite locally that is a day old or less (bleach degrades and weakens over time and is typically too weak to sanitize around the house about 90 days after it is bought off the store shelf per EPA standards). For the same $17 and have 20x as much, fresher and MUCH stronger than what this is for the same money because this product is probably about 5% or less sodium hypochlorite. I didn't see what percentage of active ingredient was in this product, and I'm assuming that is on purpose.
Question:	Does this kill Black mold or does it just beach it
Answer:	we had a bunch of black mold on one spot of our house when we moved it. Power washed it, bleached it, tried 30 second stuff and nothing. It just kept coming back. We got this and almost a year later it is still gone. It did take about 3 times spraying it but it was a huge and thick spot. We did not scrub at all due to how high the spot was

Answer:	I am not an expert but the ingredient in it is really something like baking soda. (not exactly, but it is something fairly harmless like that). However, I will say that it leaves a white residue. I don't see why you couldn't spray it in your duct work, but there are probably products out there made specifically for that.

Question:	Will this work as an additive in a power washer? I've seen other products that are not for use in one due to corrosive effects
Answer:	just looking at the ingredients it looks like something remediators use. We had a undisclosed mold problem when we bought our house and had it professionally remediated. However, tyhat company told us it is caustic and if we had any more problems to use a non toxic mold killer like Concrobium. You do not need to clean in a well ventilated space and Concrobium encapsulates as well as kills mold spores. Tried it in our cental a/c system by fogging (unprotected) and next season no mold found at all so do it every year just to be safe. Wud never want to spend all that cash on mold remediateion evr again. It is not for bacteria tho so you would need a regular cleaner for bacteria if needed.

Do not mix it with bleach!What is your specific need for this chemical, or do you just want a general cleaner/sanitizer.There are many products available at Home center's like Home Depot or Lowe's that will kill viruses, bacteria, mold and mildew. They include "Spray Nine, Mold Control, Simple Green Pro 3, and others. Some require dilution while others do not. ALWAYS follow the directions if you want the result listed on the label. This product is approved for use in hospitals, nursing homes, and restaurants. That's a good thing because it means it is effective, yet not toxic if used properly. Simply follow the directions on the label. All chemical formulations have an "EPA number." So, if you want to know if two products are really the same, check the EPA number. You can also look up a product by its EPA number.Toxicity is generally based on exposure time and quantity. For instance short exposures to certain thing will not bother you. However, long term exposure might. Think of an exterminator who sprays chemicals for a living. They need to be more concerned and so may wear a filter mask, while you could use a product once and not have to. Short chemical lesson: Hydrochloric Acid will burn though your skin, metals and many other things. Hydrochloride Acid that is diluted to a certain concentration is called "Muriatic Acid." Answer:	Honestly, my parents use Tang (the powedered orange juice mix) to clean the dishwasher. They run it without dishes and place the Tang where the soap goes. After the dishwasher runs it’s course with Tang, it’s sparkly clean!

Answer:	Great question! It really depends on the intensity of the scorch marks and it is hard to say without seeing them. We would recommend using the Rolite Pre-Polish, which is a more aggressive polish, and follow-up with the Rolite Metal Polish to remove the scorch marks.

Answer:	Good Morning The RMR-86 generally has a stronger bleach like odor. Some don't notice the smell while others do. The RMR-141, on the other hand, only has a slight lemon smell that is used as a tracer. This odor goes away after just a few minutes. Question:	What kind of "gas mask" should be used for treating a ceiling
Answer:	You want to use a 3M 6900 series full face mask with cartridges for mold and chemicals. You will also need to get a heavy duty Tyvek suit, shoe covers, and disposable gloves (you can buy a set with the suit, booties and gloves on Amazon for $10). I also suggest getting a ULV cold fogger and fogging the whole room, as live spores from the moldy ceiling will have dispersed over everything in the room, including the walls. If you don’t treat the whole room, these live spores will reinfect the space. Once you are done treating the room, remove the body protection immediately outside the room and dispose in a heavy contractor trash bag and take the sealed bag outside. Before removing the body protection, take your mask off and put in a trash bag, take it outside as well. Remove the cartridges, and use RMR Botanical to spray the mask to kill any live spores. Once the room is fogged, use a shopvac style vacuum with a HEPA filtration system and dust bag to vacuum the room top to bottom to remove dead spores. Once finished, take the vacuum outside and discard the dust bag in a contractor trash bag as well.
Question:	You mention how the RMR-86 eats metals, what do you do about the drain in a shower
Answer:	I am not sure what you mean about the drain in shower. However I have used this product every where! Its amazing. I use in the shower, sinks, on hardwood floors, baseboards, patio furniture, and on my vinyl siding on my house. I think they are just advising you to test it in small area and stating that certain materials might counteract with this product. I will say, make sure you house is well ventilated when using, because it is really potent.
Question:	How big of an area with a 32 ounce clean
Answer:	If you need to treat a large area, I suggest using a ULV cold fogger. I purchased the Longray ULV portable electric cold fogger to kill toxic mold and spores under and in my house. We used the spray bottle of RMR-86 to clean and remove the source of mold (inner Ceramics crack in toilet was leaking water under the floorboards and house for a year), then sprayed RMR-141 directly on the wood where the fuzzy green/black mold was growing in addition to a 100% wide perimeter (about 15 sq ft) all of this within a containment tent. We still have 3/4 of a bottle left. After it dried for a couple days, we used Rot Terminator to harden and seal all of the wood. We then used the ULV fogger with RMR-141 to fog the crawl space under the whole house and a basement studio apartment where a sewer ejection pump failure resulted in a sewage water flood. A water restoration and mold remediation company hadn’t completed the necessary steps in a timely manner and didn’t complete demolition of the total directly affected walls and floor. Upstairs we used the ULV fogger with RMR Botanical to fog 3200 sq ft of living space, every inch, including all furniture, wooden blinds, window treatments, inside cabinets, closets, mattresses, etc. We only used 1.5 gallons. Then the whole house was vacuumed and wiped down to remove the dead spores. I am highly chemical sensitive due to suffering from acute mycotoxicity, and because I am a scientist/doctor who has also studied homeopathy and naturopathic medicine extensively, knew the ingredients of the botanical spray would be safe for me AND kill molds/bacteria/viruses.

Answer:	Yes, you do need to wipe down your windows after spraying. I waited until the wet n forget had dried before wiping the windows clean. The streaks came off so easily I didn’t need windex.

Answer:	I used this product about 7 months ago and was disappointed in it. However, after 7 months of rain and snow, my garage is a lot cleaner. I would recommend this product, but be aware that it will take months for you to see a difference.

Answer:	As samwichse observes, the Hose End product is 3 times more concentrated than the "concentrate", but is diluted by the sprayer 3 times more, resulting in the same amount of active ingredient in the final spray. Coverage rates are around 2000 square feet maximum for both products. In the end, according to my calculations, the hose end product is only about 2 cents per ounce more than the concentrate - 24 cents vs 22. Well worth it for the extra convenience, IMHO. And, no, I don't work for Wet and Forget. Just really like their product.
