Answer: | Its a crap shoot as to whether this meter can handle the surge current of start up. Maybe itll work once, twice, a few times. But eventually it WILL fail. Id recommend one of those add in power monitor displays with a split core transformer that is clamped around the input hot line to sense current. For example, a CrocSee CRS-022B. Much, much safer. And can sense up to 100A! |

Answer: | It depends, the max. wattage rating of the PN2000 is 1760w @110v or 2000w @125v (16 amps). As long as your space heater rating is lower than this, it should work. Most space heaters have a max. output of 1500W, so you should be good to go. Note: Due to the large start-up amps of space heater, though device has abilities to deal with it, we still recommend not to use the device near the max rated specs (in most cases, the true RMS Current will be around 15A) for a long time to avoid any unexpected damage or accident. And please kindly know that the inner and outer device material is fireproofing. If device is over used or exposure to excessive heat, it may cause a melt incident but it won't start a fire. Still, you need use this device carefully to avoid any fire hazard. |

So you just need to let it run 24 hours and check the Electricity Consumption (EC). Regarding the cost of usage, you have to do the math. Here gives you an example: Let's say your billed KWH is 0.07 and the distribution charge is 0.04. Then the KWH charge $0.07 + distribution charge $0.04 = $0.11 per Kilowatt Hour(kWh) usage. So if your device is using total 2.4 kW-hrs(EC) per 24 hours (which is equal to 100 watts in one hour), then you are paying $0.11 per kWh * 2.4 kilowatts per day = $0.264 for each day of use. Application Method:
1) When power on, the meter will display AC voltage (V), AC current (A) and active power (W) with the correlative LEDs lighting up.
2) When press the SAM CK button (right side of meter), the meter will change to display the power factor (cosΦ), electric energy of cumulative time (h), and electric energy (kwh) with the correlative LEDs lighting up.
3) When press the SAM CK button again, the meter will display the AC voltage, AC current and active power.
4) When power off, the meter can save the value of electric energy and electric energy of cumulative time, and go on cumulate data when the meter is powered on again.
5)When the meter is displaying electric energy, you can press SAM CK button to reset the electric energy and electric energy of cumulative time to zero.
Remind: The meter can only use to measure 50/60 HZ AC city electricity. It will be destroyed when used to measure square waves, output of inverter, or non-standard sine waves. The Integrated Analog Meter allows for instantaneous, zero-latency monitoring of the current flow levels for safety and comfort. How do you know if your device is delivering less (or worse, more) power than needed without a meter? The short answer is you don’t. The 9129B is an economical triple output linear programmable DC power supply featuring isolated outputs that can be adjusted independently or combined in series or parallel to output higher voltage or current. Additionally, this supply can operate in tracking mode with user-configurable ratios between channels. The front panel keys and rotary knob with convenient cursors let users quickly set voltage and current values. Up to 27 different instrument settings can be saved and recalled. The power-on state of the outputs can also be configured. The USB to TTL interface supporting SCPI commands can be used to remotely control the power supply via a PC. Alternatively, users can control the 9129B, execute test sequences or log measurements using the provided PC software application. This software also integrates with Data Dashboard for LabVIEW apps enabling iOS, Android, or Windows 8 compatible tablets or smartphones to remotely monitor select measurement indicators.
