Answer:	It does not say Phillips or VS on the frames. It only has the model number. I am satisfied with them though, although I did buy a strap. They are impervious to x-ray.

Answer:	Not really. They are meant to be stand alone glasses. If you require a prescription to see the screen, they offer prescription versions at most manufacturer websites but the lenses are more and must be cusom ordered

I ended up buying Türlen Horizontal Dial Test Indicator Graduation 0.0005" Range 0.060" 1.5" Head for daily use great indicator no problems 1 year and half and still going

Answer:	It has to do with the way the micrometer works and is mounted. The horizontal unit measures with a level arm and the vertical unit measures with a plunger. They both will work but I would choose the vertical unit myself as it is easier to mount with a magnetic base.
