Answer:	I have tried to us it for this. Seems to work but I found that reading was effected by ware in front of HVAC I held the kestrel

Answer:	The top wind speed is 134. The temperature range is 14-131F.

Answer:	Are you talking about Alaska in the summer or the winter? According to Kestrel the air temperature range is -20F to +158F (or -29C to +70C if you like metric). Also, Kestrel recommends lithium ion AA cells, and lithium ion cells typically don't like really cold temperatures. If I remember correctly, the 5500 uses a low power bluetooth link and not WiFi, so the range might be pretty short even if you could get decent battery life. Your best bet would be to ask Kestrel about your intended usage.
Question:	Can anyone tell me rated maximum wind speed? Temperature range
Answer:	This question would be better directed to Kestrel technical support at [email protected]. The Meter has an internal battery and will collect measurements day or night as long as the battery has a charge. Communication between the meter and a computer or device is via blue tooth, not wifi. Your computer/device will need to have blue tooth capability. A direct wired connection can be made with a Kestrel Dongle/USB cable sold separately.
