Answer:	I do not think it will work because of the high temperatures of exhaust manifolds . This rod melts at a low temperature, and exhaust manifolds can run very hot... - A diesel engine's exhaust manifold EGTs will typically run at about 300 to 500 degrees under no-load to part-throttle conditions, 800 to 900 degrees under a medium load and 1,000 to 1,200 degrees under a really heavy load and under full throttle. Temperatures measured at a point past the turbo will typically run 100-plus degrees cooler, depending upon the turbo rpm and flow. A normal gas engine will run about the same as a diesel under light-to-medium load conditions, but will average about 500 degrees under most conditions. However, the EGTs can easily surpass 1,500 degrees in turbocharged and performance applications.

This very thin layer of aluminum oxide is what must be removed. When you puncture this layer it breaks up into a fine powder and floats to the surface of the puddle. You can actually see it appear on the surface. Draw the abrading tool through the puddle several times to remove oxides and promote fusion with the base metal. A few strokes are usually enough-.004 to .005 deep gives a maximum strength. Get rid of the oxides' barrier by going down through the molten coating and abrading the oxides away. A thin layer of insoluble oxide begins to form on the surface even before you lay the brush down.

As the base metal is heated, oxides form even more quickly but become stretched under tension. The oxide must be removed or penetration will not occur. Localizing of heat techniques can also be utilized to improve the shape of the fillets.

Answer:	It will melt at about 700 degrees f but the anodized coating will melt off to. Other than that it will weld the two pieces together.

Answer:	No i did not use flux it has some in it but you may need more flux if you work with it too long, i used it on A380 aluminum alloy and it was fine.And the shipping takes a longtime so if you can look for it at Homedepot sometimes they have it in stock.

Answer:	Aluminum dissipates heat fast so if your materials are within a specific size/mass, sure a hand held torch will be fine. If you find that the propane isn't allowing the flame to get hot enough, you can use the MAP gas in the yellow cylinder. I found a few good tutorial videos on YouTube that helped me out a lot.
