You put the needle into the needle holder and with the other hand use the forceps to gather the tissue you want to suture. Look into other sutures though make sure they are sterile. For deeper wounds you need absorbable sutures. For skin closure you can use either absorbable or nonabsorbable. Also look into surgical staples. Practice how to suture and if God forbid situation calls for it you'll be self sufficient. The main problem would be lack of anesthesia.

Answer:	As far as a velcro type attachment, no. It does however adhere to the non cut pad quite well. It serves my needs quite well.

Answer:	DIY incision means we can cut the wounds on the pad as wish. I prefer this way, the arch base provide greater tension than pre-cut wounds, simulate an open wounds condition perfectly. What a great design.

Answer:	The bottle caps, ruler, and red/white string are used together for learning how to tie square knots and surgeon’s knots (and to avoid a granny’s knot). You need to stick the bottle caps to the sides of the ruler to build a bridge-like structure. The string goes halfway through the “bridge”. It helps to visualize the know-tying process, which is, for most people, confusing at first.
