For one thing, their small size makes them difficult to see until they’re buzzing by your face. They also seem to reappear even after you’ve cleaned everything you can think of that might attract them. As their name suggests, fruit flies are attracted to fruit. Extermination of this household pest depends on the maintenance of clean household drains for a period of at least three weeks. Because of their attraction to UV light, drain moths may be trapped with our pest vortex. However, only eliminating adult flies is usually not effective; larval food sources must be removed to stop more flies from emerging.
