Answer:	Absolutely could be used in a hallway rather than top of stairs. The gate includes mounting hardware that easily can be used in the middle of the hallway. We have our gate mounted about 3 feet down the hall from the top of our stairs and that works great. For robustness of the mounting you may want to ensure that you're either mounting to something solid (like studs) or using wall anchors of some sort.

Answer:	It depends on how determined they are to get over the gate. We have two Cavalier spaniels the largest 24 pounds and a yellow lab who is 65 pounds and none of them even try to jump over it. I can easily step over the gate which is nice. We are using it in our basement to keep the dogs out of the laundry room. You can pick it up easily and the sides will fold in if you want to move it out of the way. We really like them and bought 2 of them. The color is much lighter than pictured though. It is very nicely made and sturdy.

Answer:	Shipment. Same thing happened to me. Shipment of the second gate was sent promptly after their notification.

Answer:	I would say no. This is a pretty good expandable "gate" but I don't think it is heavy enough or stable enough to stand up with plants growing up on it. Just don't think it is strong enough for that.

Answer:	Don't bother. I was expecting cheap Chinese trash, but this was worse. They literally fell apart within a few days. The box it came in would make a more effective physical barrier.

Answer:	Depending on how small your pup is............It's about 3" where the strips are low and about 5 - 6 inches in the high opening. But I recommend that you purchase a different brand as this particular one is pure junk. Hope this helps. I went on line and looked for one like this but better constructed with better material and paid about $39.00. I had one of these from Garden Creations and it's really really flimsy.

Answer:	It is 20 plus inches and you will easily be able to walk straight through carrying anything. The installation was easy to. We are selling our home and moving so I wanted to make sure I could take it with me. I took it down and put it back up myself. It has these clever glides that tilt to make it easy to slide the brackets out and back into when taking it down. You will really like it. I travel all the time and those in the airline catalog are nice but a lot more money so that is why I tried this and really love it.

Answer:	The gate does NOT swing all the way open and lay flat. Plus there's a bar that goes across the bottom of the entire gate so when the door's open you have to step over the bar to go through the gate. You can always remove the entire gate from the wall mountings if you want the space open for a period of time.

Answer:	This is not intended to be pressure mounted and has none of the required hardware to do that. People who told you it is must be talking about some other gate. This has to be screwed into the wall.

Answer:	It is 32 inches high and expands to 48 inches wide at its maximum.
Question:	Can you open the gate for an adult to walk through without having to take the whole thing down? Not clear in the description
Answer:	No. Gates with that feature are pretty descriptive to that point. This is a very cheap gate. You can't apply to much pressure with it or it will break.
Question:	it says it only is 26" in length but the description of the same gate at walmart.com says it's up to 50" in length...which is it
Answer:	On the box it says use from 31 inches to 50 inches. it closes to about 27 (the bumpers add an extra inch from the 26" gate).
Question:	My child is very small.. I'm sorry. Will he fit through the gate holes
Answer:	What type of child are you speaking of🤔? Human, dog, lizard ... cause the holes are the size of a golf ball. If your child is that small ... then yes your child will be able to get through.

Question:	is it possible to use hardware to mount this in the wall for top of stairs use
Answer:	The unit comes with 'screws' that push out against the wall to hold it in place... if you tighten the screws really good, it may provide the security you need. Conceivably, you can find hardware that will add security, but it may take a little searching. Overall, it is a good product and please note that it ships slightly open by design so that you can tighten it against the walls and as you turn the 'screws', the unit closes up with fair tension. Question:	Can I add the extensions to one side or another so the gate opening won't be in the center
Answer:	I did, but found that it was very unstable that way -- it buckled after awhile and I had to change it to the center to keep it from doing so.
Question:	How wide is the walk through gate
Answer:	The "walk through" area is 25.5 inches wide.
Question:	How wide are the extensions? I am trying to fit a 49-49.5 space
Answer:	The gate is 34 inches. It comes with 3 extensions. One is 10in, one is 7in and one is 4in. So using the gate, 10 in and 4 inch you will be good to go! Keep the 7 in just incase you move or want to move the gate. Anyway, it looks great, easy to install.
