Answer:	Yes，the female side is facing up for both shelves. In order to attach them the bottom shelf should have the female side up and the top shelf should have the female connector facing down so the rods can fit them together. It's literally useless.

Answer:	I FOUND A SMALL AMOUNT OF EXCESS PLASTIC FROM THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS AT THE INSERT-END OF ONE ROD. TRIM IT AWAY. PUSH HARD WITH TURNTABLE ON A HARD SURFACE. THEY WON'T BREAK.

Answer:	Sure, many of the shorter spice jars set on top of each other and may have a ring on the lid that essentially allows them to sit on top of each other without sliding around.

Answer:	They will but not for long. The plastic is to soft & doesn't hold them very tight. The short containers stayed in the longers didn't.

Answer:	Use the screws if you can. I used the tape and within hours they were falling off the wall and cabinet door. If our cabinet doors were in better condition I would have used the screws.
