Answer:	There is no expiration day, only production day. If it is for personal use there is no monthly or yearly inspections needed, it will be in your possession at all times so you'll know when it is corroded or banged up beyond repair or when it loses pressure or when it needs refilling because of use. Every 6 years it needs to be opened by a certified place and checked from the inside, and every 12 years it needs to undergo hydro-pressure check up. Again, because of personal use you don't have to do any of that but than you'll never know if the extinguisher will do what it's supposed to do - put out the fire. Another thing to consider; does it makes more sense to go through the 6/12 year check up or buy a new one all together.
Question:	has anyone actually tested this for continuity with a meter to ensure it is completing a circuit to ground
Answer:	The voltage mentioned (120- bulb) is a mistake and doesn't pertain to the fire extinguisher. My dad is an electrical engineer with a master's degree and he taught me the following. There is no rating of 120 / 220 or other amps/volts when an an extinguisher is rated for "electrical" fires. When it says it s cleared for use on "electrical fires" it's just that, "electrical". The voltage doesn't matter as it's the same type of fire. The main thing is the size of the extinguisher for that possible electrical fire, i.e, this small residential unit wouldn't be ideal for commercial use.

Answer:	Sounds like you are wanting a full surface mounted box, this has a flange that is designed to sit on a stud wall and secure (level) through the sides or back. In your application I would look for a surface mount only. Otherwise you could use this in your application but it would look odd.

Answer:	The cable is around 20 inches without any tension and can easily stretch to about 4 feet.

Answer:	Most wrist straps have a current limiting resistor molded into the ground cord head on the end that connects to the cuff. This resistor is most commonly one megohm, it is designed to limit the amount of current. Attempting to measure continuity with a meter will show there is no continuity as most meters look for resistance less than 50 ohms to confirm continuity. The 1 Megaohm resistance is designed to "drain" the static charge from your body, while at the same time protecting you from killer current should you happen to touch 240 VAC. (some wrist straps have lower resistance values when the maximum voltage present is less and the components are extremely sensitive to ESD) All the people reporting this product as failed because it won't pass a continuity test are measuring the wrong thing. In the USA, The ESD Association and ANSI have standards for wrist strap requirements, ANSI/ESD S20.20. The section on wrist straps requires that the resistance to ground be less than 35,000,000 ohms, yes 35 million. Thus what you want to measure to check your wrist strap is RESISTANCE to ground, if you get a resistance less than say 25,000,000 ohms and above 800,000 your strap is working properly.

Next I'd search for a glass shop near you that could cut a piece to the size you need. They may want to see the broken pieces of glass in case it is important to match the same type of glass.

Question:	Is the top layer vinyl or rubber? ie does it melt within 2 seconds when touched with a hot soldering iron (300C) or does it only discolor
Answer:	This should be worn when working with any electrostatic discharge (ESD) sensitive devices, including PC parts. You want to be clipped into something that can conduct charge away from you. If your power supply is installed and plugged in (power switch doesn't have to be on) you can clip to bare metal or bare metal screws that are in your computer case. If you don't have the power supply plugged in, you can plug the end of the strap into the ground plug (round) of an outlet (if you are in the US). You could also clip it to the largest piece of metal near you.
Question:	Will mounting a Panavise through the mat cause any issues with dissipation
Answer:	You can snap it to a metal or anything that has a proper grounding. If you are in a place that using an outlet that has a 3 prong, it might have a proper ground wiring which you can slides off the gator clip to reveal a banana plug and plug into it.

Answer:	You shouldn't be getting shocks from your treadmill. That can be very dangerous because that is AC voltage. You need either a new treadmill or have the wiring fixed on your current one.

How to install an ESD workstation:

1. Lay the table mat flat on the workbench with the snaps toward the operator.

2. Connect the common point ground cord to the table mat by snapping it to the left or right snap.

3. Connect the coil cord to the common point ground cord by plugging the banana plug into one of the ground cord's banana jacks.

4. Snap the wrist band to the coil cord. TIP: Make sure that the operator wears the wrist band on bare skin and tightens the band so that no gap exists between the skin and the band.

Answer:	The clips attach to a convenient earth ground point. When the laptop is placed on the ESD mat it will drain off any accumulated static charge. The wrist strap does the same for the technician.
Question:	will this work on a treadmill where i get shocked while wearing headphones
Answer:	Standard ESD mitigation process that this mat provides requires a path for the static buildup to find ground. One way is to ground to an outlet, but there are other ground points that could be used. Typical ESD Labs have grounding rods that penetrate the flooring to earth ground, and they would be fine to use as ground as well. The ESD Mat is a slow drain of charge to ground. Use of a wrist strap that this kit includes is needed to be applied before handling the devices you want to work with on the Mat. IE before you take them out of their protective bag/container.

Answer:	The mat and kit was designed to dissipate static electricity in order to protect small electronics parts (like a computer motherboard) from being damaged by static build-up. While you could cut the mat to a desired size, it is not necessarily recommended. The mat is resistant to high temperatures, so an iron would likely be okay depending on how, or how often you were using it.

Both the grounding cord and wrist strap that come with this kit have an alligator clip on the end, but they are made to be taken on and off. Underneath the alligator clip is a banana plug. The blue circle on the grounding cord snaps onto the mat and I plugged the other end into one of the wrist strap ground sockets. The wrist strap plugs straight into the other socket on the wrist strap ground. After that, if you are wearing the strap, both you and the mat are grounded.
