Answer:	It’s a nylon seatbelt type of strapping, and the ratchet is steel. I have mine on an open deck trailer and have no problems with water.

Answer:	There is Not a weather protection cover. That said, my original Cargo Buckles were well Over 15 years old before replacing. Two were on the front side of trailer so they caught All the schmegg. A little lube after a rinse and good to go. 2 of the original 4 are still useable. Awesome product

Answer:	Mine plays well for an instrument in this price range. It feels solidly built, and is capable of producing respectable volume. You will need to know how to install the bridge and set it up properly upon arrival, though, so be prepared for that. The only criticism I can really give is that it could use an upgraded set of strings for better tone, and I'll probably put a set on mine by year's end. The case is good. I haven't really used the bow much, since I already owned another bow that I like a lot. I wasn't impressed with the Rosin. Get a cake of Pops from a local store, instead (so you can be sure it's fresh).

Answer:	Probably a 1/8 or 1/16 size would be good for her, my girlfriend has a 1/4 for learning and it is a decent size. For a 9 year old, start with a 1/16 and if it's too small just return it for a 1/8
