Question:	Does it come covered in oil
Answer:	Definitely. I hooked up a 3100psi pressure washer, and the pressure was strong enough to deteriorate perfectly good wood- and I was using the 3rd most aggressive pressure washer nozzle. If you don't have enough pressure, the weak link will be your pressure washer, not the 1/2" hose.
Question:	Can I attach the top hook to a support bar that may be 2" in diameter. If not, what is the largest support bar the hoist can work with
Answer:	I'm going to say 'yes' even though I haven't actually weighed it on a scale. It's 1/2" diameter which I would think naturally makes it lighter weight. It should say on the shipping weight or the manufacturer's website. I bought it for car washing & around the yard use because it's easier to handle & maneuver...not so much hose, & I guess weight, to struggle with. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Come on guys.go by what pipe size is feeding your outside water valves.if you only have 1/2 inch pipe feeding outside why would you buy a 5/8 hose?do you like spending more on hoses that make no difference?also 5/8 hoses weigh more.only use 5/8 hoses on your house if you have 3/4 inch pipe feeding your outside water valves.most homes only have 1/2 pipe outside,just like your shower and your faucets in your home.
Question:	whats the force to weight ratio
Answer:	Perfect timing. Mine just developed a leak. I emailed their customer service about 2 weeks ago. They promptly replied requesting my receipt which was easy to look up on Amazon, and literally 4 days later a box was on my door step! Answer:	From the product spec. of 1T model, force to pull a full load capacity is 330 Newton. Take 1T = 2,000 lbs = 8,896.8 Newton, so the weight to force ratio is 8896.8/330 = 26.96. In other words, to lift 26.96 lbs, you put in the effort of 1 lbs.
Question:	What is the length of the cable that it comes with
Answer:	You must manipulate the ratchets back and forth with each stroke. Pull the lever to lift the load slightly flip the racket, lower the load, flip the ratchet to hold the load in a new lower position. The device is make to lift an item into position and has no mechanism to ratchet backward. One note: The lever to flip the ratchet is tight so smaller people may need a pair of pliers to accomplish the flip.
Question:	I need to mount this on a flat surface. Would I be able to just pull the crank a little ways (like a come-along), or do I have to turn it 360 degrees

Question:	What is the largest rod you can put in the hook? I have a 1.25in diameter rod that the hoist has to hang off of. Will the hook fit on this size rod
Answer:	A max of 1" dia will pass through the open part of the hook.. but if you pass a pipe through end wise, it will accept up to 1-1/2 dia. The clip that closes the open part of the hook is cheap and wont last a damn. Do not open box in the house... expect to use a 1/2 roll of paper towels or rags and degreaser ... simple green... on the chain when new.. and there is one cheap cotter pin that should be replaced before using. When using the hoist sideways... the pawl will not engauge so if there is a load on it, someone has to hold the chain. Its a cheap hoisf but i used it for pulling a boat engine...was a V8, then pulled my boat trailee with boat on it out of the mud... may lock up sideways now and then but a quick backwards tug on the chain and its freed. The extra long chain is very nice...
Question:	Does this hoist have a brake? How well does it work
Answer:	It does have a brake, however, if you are planning any lifting anywhere near 2000 lbs you would be better to step up to a 2 ton. We were lifting frames weighing between 1000 and 1700 lbs and the brake is destroyed already. Not recommended for anything heavy.
Question:	Do I need any other device to operate this (other than an attachment device at the top
Answer:	You just need a sturdy place to hook the chain fall. It slowly raises the object as you pull the loop chain through. It works great. I just used it to lift up my ZT mower so I could change the blades. I warn you the chains are greasy when it arrives.
Question:	Is it ok to clean the oil off the chain
Answer:	The chain should not be left totally dry but the lubricant it ships with is so nasty, I decided to clean it off and re-lubricate with a cleaner lubricant. Cleaning was easy. Simply suspend the block about 3' off the floor with chains in a bucket of hot water and detergent; taking care not to submerge the block mechanism. After washing the chain, rinse chain with water using the same method. Then hang to dry and re-lubricate with a good rust preventative lubricant and then wipe excess lube off.

Answer:	I have it hanging on a chain in a tree. From that chain to the ground is 10 feet 4 inches. fully down the chain hook is 11 inches from the ground. so that would be around 9 foot 10 inches from top to bottom Hope that helps.

Question:	is this a 1 ton hoist? the specs say 1 but the capacity is 1000 lbs
Answer:	Best I can tell is 1 inch is about it. But like the other responder said, wrap a piece of chain around your 2 inch bar and hang the hook on that. The hoist is a good product for the money. I like mine. I use it for lifting 55 gal water barrels off the back of my truck.

Instruction:

Do not pull obliquely, do not overload.

It is strictly prohibited to operate with power other than manual labor.

Confirm all the parts are intact before using, transmission parts and lifting chain lubrication is good and idle condition is normal.

Check lifting hook is hang up stably before use. Lifting chain should be vertical and there can not be wrong twisted link. The lower hook rack of double line chain can not be reversed.

Operator should stand in the same plane as the hand chain, and drag hand chain along the clockwise rotation to raise a weight, or reverse drag hand chain to lower.
