The tube's function is to lift liquid up from the bottom of the bottle, when using the bottle upright. When using the bottle upside down, the tube is best removed. |

| Answer: | Yes I've been using one for acetone and one for acetone/ATF penetrating oil mix for a couple months. Both are NOT being affected by the acetone. Please note that some of these may not always seal perfectly due to slight imperfections like extra plastic "tabs" where the two halves meet at the top of the bottle. These can be removed and made to seal correctly if you are careful. Otherwise great bottles for use with acetone. |

Wash bottles are NOT storage bottles, and should only contain an amount used in a day. For most chemicals this may be stretched for a weeks use, but for certain chemicals like DCM, a tighter timeline is followed. Also, the concentration of DCM and temperature it is used are very big factors for breaking down plastics, and at the concentrations of DCM generally used, and at an average room temperature, DCM isn't immediately incompatible. Finally, only the yellow cap is made from polypropylene. The bottle itself is made from polyethylene which has an even greater chemical resistance profile.
