Answer:	My last Bissell lasted TWELVE years. I shampoo carpets 2-4 times a month (no choice-kids!). I borrowed a brand new Rug Doctor before I bought this Bissell. There is no comparison. This is better than Rug Doctor in EVERY way. Cleans so much better, works in BOTH directions (why RG doesn't do this is beyond me!). The tanks are H.U.G.E., so you're not constantly dumping and refilling. These carpets are cleaner than ever! With every other machine, I have had to use a homemade solution (with 1.5 cups of bleach per gallon), or my carpets wouldn't come clean. The Bissell Professional solution is all I need with this machine-I can't say enough how you will NOT find a better cleaner for this kind of money!

Answer:	helloMy research before I purchased the 86t3, trying to see what the difference was. This is what I found the 10N2 has a commercial warranty. When I look at the parts list for both machines. The 86t3comes with a hose kit which plugs into the top of the machine and allows you to do stairs and furniture, etc. The 10n2 does not come with the hose kit standard equipment. Other than that the parts list for both machines are identical. I bought the 86T3and it works very well. I can only assume that there would not be a difference in their performance.

Answer:	My dog is 12 yrs old and going through this stage, this thing ALWAYS gets the WORST of the stains and smells out. I also (just me, don't do this if your afraid of voiding a warranty or something) but I add a few drops of tea tree oil or peppermint oil to my water, shampoo mix and it always smells AMAZING for days after!! Plus both of those oils are natural flea and tick repellents (we live in the country) so that's how I clean mine. This machine has gotten every stain out I've had, except acrylic paints 😳 But it made them look somewhat better. Lol!! 3 kids and 2 dogs it's bound to happen.

I figured it would solve the problem or the carpet was ruined anyways. I have carpet padding that is supposed to protect from the liquids soaking into the subfloor so just needed to impact the carpet area.

Answer:	It really wouldn't. For anyone reading this, it just doesn't have the proper brush to agitate carpet in such a way as to release ground in dirty or staining. A scrubbing brush, not a rotating vacuum brush is needed for deep cleaning.

Question:	Is the carpet supposed to be completely clean when the water is completely clear
Answer:	If you are sucking up clear water, yes the area you are cleaning should be clean. However I let mine dry, pretreated it again and went back over it to make sure and the penetrate deeper. It seemed to work. My carpet had an older set in pet stain that I didn't find right away.

Answer:	You need an enzyme cleaner to completely break down pet urine. Especially for cats. If you don’t remove all of the urine, it will eventually start to smell again and could cause the pet to pee there in the future.
Question:	what is the total weight and motor capacity
Answer:	The thing weighs about 12 pounds. I don't know what you mean by motor capacity, but if you go over the same area too many times it'll pull the carpet fibers up. My office was a mess. I had Stanley steamer come in a year or so ago and they did an okay job. This thing was 99 bucks and in 20 minutes did a fantastic job. I have white carpets that were gray and now their white again.

Answer:	While it comes with a smaller bottle (for one use), I ended up buying an oxy product specifically for pet urine and reshampooed the carpet. After drying, is now smells fresh.

Dimensions: 13.8 lbs Check for suction at the back of the unit after removing the hose where it attaches to the back of the unit. If there IS suction at the back of the machine with the hose removed, follow these steps: Unplug the unit from the outlet. Check the Pre- and Post-Motor filters for debris. Dirty filters can restrict airflow. The Pre-Motor Foam Filter is square. You can find it in a pull-out tray under the Dirt Tank. The Foam Filter may be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent. Reinstall the filter when it’s completely dry. The Multi-Layer Post-Motor Filter is rectangular. It can be found on the side of the machine. Note: The white Multi-Layer Post Motor Filter isn’t washable. Make sure the dirt tank is empty. Check the upper tank for build-up or clogs. If it needs to be cleaned, use a short, Phillips-head screwdriver and take off the separator plate with a cloth (can be dampened with water or mild detergent). Replace dirt tank. Check for good suction at the end of the upholstery hose. If there’s good suction, make sure the hose is connected firmly to the lower hose on the back of the vacuum. If there’s no suction, check the hose for splits, cracks, or clogs. Make sure the Brush Roll is rotating. If it isn’t, take the access plate off and examine the brush and belt for damage. The access panel can be taken off by lifting the four tabs on the bottom of your machine. Clearing clogs detach the Upper Hose from the machine. Insert a broomstick into the hose to push any obstruction through. Remove the screw from the left side of the lower hose on the back of the unit. Straighten this section of hose by pulling it down or laying the unit on its side with the lower hose towards the top side. Look through the hose for any obstruction. Use a broomstick to unclog the hose. Power source - corded. Power rating: 3 amps.

Answer:	The brush head detaches from the hose. I clean it by running extremely hot water through it. You could even soak it in a warm water bath if needed. If there is a hair stuck inside the plastic portion, you can use an unbent page clip to dig it out.

Answer:	I have a spot-bot as well as a Bissell upright (about to buy this little green one) - and I use a zip tie - the kind you can use for bundling wires - very long and flexible - as long as the fuzz inside the suction head is still wet, a zip tie works really well for me!!

Answer:	Sorry to tell you this - I've had my first machine for yr and it worked fine until it would no longer spray- since it was old I thought some part must have worn out - and since it had given me many yrs of great service - I just went out and bought another one - I have had this new one for just about a yr and now the same problem is happening to this one - I've given up and use a spray bottle to apply solution and the machine to pick up the residue - I'll have to be in touch with the company - but this does seem like it could be a chronic problem.

Answer:	I have a cat so hair is a major problem for me. The Smartwash does pick up the hair and it can get stuck in the nozzle going to the dirty water tank. The brushes will stop. But it is fairly easy to clean both the nozzle and brushes. It is easy to disconnect the pieces to clean. This machine does a good job of cleaning. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. I do recommend that you follow the rinse instructions after using the cleaner. It rinses the carpet to remove the cleaning solution from the rug. All you do is remove the bottle with the cleaner solution and go over the carpet again with just clean water.

Question:	How does it work
Answer:	Had an older Bissell, this unit is superior in cleaning ability. Works very well. However, the fresh water tank is VERY small. Took twice as long to clean the carpet compared to our older model with a much larger fresh water supply tank.
Question:	Will this model clean berber carpet
Answer:	Good question! Some Berber can fuzz when a spinning vacuum brush is applied. You may want to pretest this machine on your carpet before using to ensure it does not wear.
Question:	Does it have a seperate soap tank
Answer:	It does not - the clean water and formula will go into the same tank on the machine.
Question:	Does it work on 220watt
Answer:	Hi Marwa - this cleaner is designed for use on 110v only.

Question:	will this work in an older Power Steamer? [model 1631]
Answer:	I am not familiar with model 1631. Bissell 2x pro deep clean works well on carpets. I suggest you visit Bissel website to determine if the product will work with your 1631 power steamer.
Question:	Since it has scotch Guard, does it mean that I'm not supposed to re-run the machine with just water to suck out all the cleaner
Answer:	Great question, you can still perform a water rinse after cleaning to remove any access formula/dirty water from your carpets but this will breakdown the Scotchgard protection quicker.
Question:	how large of an area will this item clean
Answer:	I think it depends on which machine you have; mine requires 5 oz. of cleaner per full tank. It also depends on how much you use over each pass; I've used about 20 oz and cleaned about 800-900 sq ft. Some areas I've even gone back over.
Question:	how big of an area in sqft with The 48oz 2x solution cover for mildly soiled low profile carpet
Answer:	Mine: 580 square feet moderately soiled with some stains to get out: 1.5 tanks with 1.5 caps. This is very concentrated and very effective. Cream low pile cheap apartment carpet, 10 yrs old; prior professional shampoo every six months (dog and cat). Now I only use my old Bissell and this great stuff. If you had a Spot Bot it would be even less to fully clean.

Question:	does anyone own this machine over a year and its still working
Answer:	Purchased in 2018. By and large, very happy. Woke this morning planning to do a couple rooms after the machine had been idled for about 3 months. For reasons I cannot fathom, the cleaning solution mix is failing to spray. Motor is running fine. All else seeks okay. But its just not spraying. Reading these answers, I'm wondering if I've failed to clean the unit properly or as often as it needs. ??? One reviewer suggested clean water through it. But if its "plugged up" how would I do that at this point? I'm open to suggestions/ideas! THANKS!

Question:	What is the difference between this one and the Bissell Proheat Pet
Answer:	The pet is suppose to be an upgraded unit over this essential unit and it has 2 separate containers for the clean and dirty water. But for $130 bucks more, this essential unit has been great. Easy to use and clean, has a real powerful motor I believe is 6 amps. Have used it on a regular basis and it does a really nice job! Beats the old hoover unit we used to have, does a nice deep clean which we never got from the hoover unit,,, but you should watch the videos they have on each unit
Question:	Does this Bissell machine have a separate compartment for the cleaning solution from the clean water or is it mixed together in one container
Answer:	There is a soft-sided bag type of container inside the rigid container. You put the cleaning fluid and water inside that soft-sided bag and start cleaning. When you suck up the dirty water, it goes into the rigid container outside the bag.
