Dimensions: 13.8 lbs Check for suction at the back of the unit after removing the hose where it attaches to the back of the unit. If there IS suction at the back of the machine with the hose removed, follow these steps: Unplug the unit from the outlet. Check the Pre- and Post-Motor filters for debris. Dirty filters can restrict airflow. The Pre-Motor Foam Filter is square. You can find it in a pull-out tray under the Dirt Tank. The Foam Filter may be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent. Reinstall the filter when it’s completely dry. The Multi-Layer Post-Motor Filter is rectangular. It can be found on the side of the machine. Note: The white Multi-Layer Post Motor Filter isn’t washable. Make sure the dirt tank is empty. Check the upper tank for build-up or clogs. If it needs to be cleaned, use a short, Phillips-head screwdriver and take off the separator plate with a cloth (can be dampened with water or mild detergent). Replace dirt tank. Check for good suction at the end of the upholstery hose. If there’s good suction, make sure the hose is connected firmly to the lower hose on the back of the vacuum. If there’s no suction, check the hose for splits, cracks, or clogs. Make sure the Brush Roll is rotating. If it isn’t, take the access plate off and examine the brush and belt for damage. The access panel can be taken off by lifting the four tabs on the bottom of your machine. Clearing clogs detach the Upper Hose from the machine. Insert a broomstick into the hose to push any obstruction through. Remove the screw from the left side of the lower hose on the back of the unit. Straighten this section of hose by pulling it down or laying the unit on its side with the lower hose towards the top side. Look through the hose for any obstruction. Question:	How can I clean the suction brush head
Answer:	The brush head detaches from the hose. I clean it by running extremely hot water through it. You could even soak it in a warm water bath if needed. If there is a hair stuck inside the plastic portion, you can use an unbent page clip to dig it out.

Answer:	I have a spot-bot as well as a Bissell upright (about to buy this little green one) - and I use a zip tie - the kind you can use for bundling wires - very long and flexible - as long as the fuzz inside the suction head is still wet, a zip tie works really well for me!!

Answer:	Sorry to tell you this - I've had my first machine for yr and it worked fine until it would no longer spray- since it was old I thought some part must have worn out - and since it had given me many yrs of great service - I just went out and bought another one - I have had this new one for just about a yr and now the same problem is happening to this one - I've given up and use a spray bottle to apply solution and the machine to pick up the residue - I'll have to be in touch with the company - but this does seem like it could be a chronic problem.

Answer:	We have tested it on carpet spots of several sizes, types, and ages. For any stain that's same-day, it'll clean it out really well, way better than any spot cleaning solution will. For spots that are a few days old, it will do pretty well, but you may have a slight tinge left over and/or you may have to go over the spot a few times. For older stains, you'll probably be left with some staining even after a few go-overs, but it will look much better than it did before. It can even make a very noticeable difference on stains that are several years old.The caveats - it's a small cleaner, so cleaning anything larger than a fist-sized spot is going to take a pretty long time (15-30 mins+ for each go-over, depending on how deep the stain is), and it can end up cleaning a spot so well that it becomes cleaner than the surrounding area, which would required a larger floor steam cleaner to even everything out.But yes, if your carpet is at risk for small stains, and you're good with breaking this out same day, then absolutely this will take most spots out of carpets.

Answer:	Sorry if we fooled you with the colors! The brushes are all the same material (aside from the optional brass brush) but the color difference is for keeping them apart which gives you the option to use one color in one area. So you could for instance use only the red brush in your bathroom and the green brush in your kitchen.

Answer:	this one has only 43 psi, McCullough 58 psi, having said that temp on this one is higher at 293C vs 200C. Boiler n this one is steel, Muc's is copper.

Answer:	It can use any standard microfiber or cotton cloth, like the ones on a Brava. You can use any washable, breathable fabric (an old face towel will do) and reuse to your heart's content. I came to hate my Brava but love this steamer so I use the ones that came with the Brava. At least it had nice cleaner pads going for it.

Answer:	This isn't the item you want for cleaning a rug; any water you add to a rug or carpet must come out via extraction, or you're simply steaming the stain/mess further into the carpet back and padding. Steamers work well on hard floors and tiles, other non-porous surfaces (for sanitizing the bathroom it's fantastic) but don't mistake this type of machine for a rug/carpet cleaner no matter what the seller says.

Answer:	I believe the rectangular floor tool covered with microfiber would be better and would work well. It's thin and lightweight and has a fully articulating head which I think would be better for reaching overhead. This model produces a dryer steam at a higher pressure than most models which seems preferable on ceilings, since they're often painted with a very flat finish ceiling paint which offers no protection from moisture to the drywall.
Question:	Can you use detergent of your choice (Dawn &/or Pine Sol
Answer:	Although you might use PineSol, you don't (probably) want to use Dawn... You would have suds for quite a while. These machines work by heating under pressure, so while "normal" water would boil at 212F, in a pressurized boiler, the water in this unit is heated to over 300 degrees. Then it is propelled out where the molecules expand until the temp. drops to the boiling point in the air (212F) where it evaporates or condenses (becoming steam or water). As the temperature decreases to the boiling point, those bubbles are going to increase exponentially. I've never tried this personally, as I wouldn't risk destroying my machine or my floors, but the science says you'd not only have bubbles from the tank of water you intended to make soapy but probably for several tanks after that as ridding the unit of all the Dawn would take more water than a single tank. Several sites, like Autopia.com, discuss the best use of steam cleaners generally and this machine specifically (most of these sites are moderated by people who own detailing shops or other commercial applications). The consensus is that they do NOT recommend using ANY detergent that is run through the machine even though the manufacturers say you can. I'm sure you do need to be careful about what you put in the boiler as the heating element in this unit is really not replaceable without removing the entire boiler unit. While the boiler is covered under warranty, I don't know if that also covers the heating element.

For the same amount or less you can have them professionaly cleaned and sealed, I did and they are perfect. the steamer has a small attachment which blasts the grout seams but you still need to pick up the dirty water and dry each time you clean or your just fighting it over and over.
Question:	Can this be used on any materials? Carpets, rugs, leather, etc. Has it ruined anything or caused any damage
Answer:	This would seem to be better asked directly to the manufacturer. My first guess is that steam would not be good for leather, but some of this is just common sense. I assume there is also a user manual?
Question:	Is this unit made in China
Answer:	Absolutely not. It is Italian made and the company is well established with a good track record. I've owned my unit for several years. It works great. FYI, the heating element is replaceable and has a lifetime warranty. If you use distilled water you won't have to descale the tank. I honestly suspect I will be passing this device on to a family member as part of their inheritance.
Question:	Anyone has had this for more than a year without problems
Answer:	Problems here, product blows water and could not warm up my hand from 6 inches. Customer service says that that is protocol and the steam cools upon contact with air. hmmmm 0/10 rating, rather use a bucket of warm water esp for 1K

Answer:	This is powered with a 110 volt power chord
Question:	how many pads do the unit come with? are the pads washable/reuseable? how long will the pads last with weekly use
Answer:	It comes with 2 pads, they are washable and reusable. we have only washed them 3-4 times each so far, so I am not sure how long they will last but they seem to be holding up.
Question:	How noisy is it
Answer:	Not terribly noisy. You'll be able to hear it from another room but not to the point where it would interfere with you.
Question:	Can it be used on Laminate wood flooring
Answer:	I wouldnt use it on laminate flooring. It leaves the floor pretty wet after using. It does work great though. Its nice to have a steamer and sweeper in one.

Question:	What’s the difference between the 200S and the 300S
Answer:	The difference is how the Pro Plus 200S and Pro Plus 300CS are filled and hold water. On the Pro Plus 200S water is poured directly into the boiler. When it is out of water the unit needs to be depressurized, refilled, and allowed to reheat. The run time is 45-90 minutes (depending upon the demand placed on the machine) and it takes about 15 -20 minutes to depressurize, refill and reheat the Pro Plus 200S. The Pro Plus 300CS on the other hand, has a non-pressurized water tank in the machine, and the Pro Plus 300CS can be refilled while the machine is on and operating. This eliminates the down time with the Pro Plus 300CS. Customers usually select the 300CS if the machine will be frequently used for long periods of time.
Question:	Does this clean plush house carpeting
Answer:	Vapor steam cleaners are not well suited for commercial cleaning of carpets, but some users do use them to lightly clean or freshen up carpets. This is done by attaching a microfiber towel to the rectangular brush included with the Pro Plus 200S and steam mopping the carpet. For proper deep cleaning a heated extractor such as the XPH-5900i should be used.

Answer:	Yes, this is a common application among auto detailers for both the Pro Plus 200S and Pro Plus 300CS.

Answer:	this machine only has one plug its a 3 prong, and yes it works off a common 110v yes this machine will work in the United States, I currently own 2 of theses machines and I live in Louisville, KY, in my opinion tis is the best steam machine on the market...………………………...

Question:	Can I power wash my house
Answer:	No, this is an steam cleaner not a power washer. You can clean nearly every surface inside your house, though. Tile, grout, tubs, toilets etc.
Question:	will it clean coral floor tiles that are heavily ingrained with dirt
Answer:	It should work very well. I use it on some sealed natural tiles in my house. It works with minimal water, but lots of steam pressure. Since the floors are really dirty, for the first-time cleaning you might want to use an appropriate tile cleaner in addition to the steam pressure.
Question:	can this machine be use to clean carpet
Answer:	A Sargent Steam Cleaner is perfect for spots, pet stains, car carpets/floor mats and high traffic areas. If you have a whole house full of really dirty carpeting, a hot water extraction machine is faster. However, a Sargent is a great chemical-free alternative since it requires no shampoo to deep clean carpeting and rugs.
