Answer:	I hate swiffer. For that type of cleaning I use libman and the pads are washable and reusable so as not to increase unnecessary waste. I bought two extra pads for mine so I always have one or two clean. I have an older model dyson cordless and I love it. I'm sitting here drooling over this one and cant wait to be able to buy it.

Answer:	10-60 minutes depending on power setting. I find medium gets me 30-40 minutes and is more than adequate for general cleaning. Max suction will suck a golf ball through a garden hose and not necessary all the time. I’ve used max suction a handful of times yet never with a powered head attached as it’s pointless and will actually make the head stick to area rugs it’s so strong.

Answer:	The Motorhead is the entry level. You only get a crevice tool and another small crevice attachment with a brush. Also please note that even though the motor design is new, you also get a 40% smaller dust bin size on the Motor Head. The Absolute gives you everything. 40% bigger dust bin, crevice tool, another stubby crevice tool with a brush, a blind/curtain brush, the motorized small power head for cars/couches etc, a head "meant" for hard surfaces such as tile, wood, etc which is a soft fiber velvet-like brush and a head meant for carpet which is your traditional stiffer brush. My opinion is that the Animal is the best value as the only thing you miss is the brush head meant for hard surfaces which everyone has done fine with for all time beforehand and you then save $100 dollars versus the Absolute.

Answer:	Did you know that the suction can be adjusted? When I first started using it, I couldn't even hardly push it on my very dense carpet. Very dense deep pile carpet actually needs less suction. I adjusted the suction down to the lowest setting and it works great now. I still use high suction for our hardwood floors. I love this vacuum! It works great on all of our floor surfaces.

Answer:	The floor brush can be turned off by setting the on/off switch to the middle or #1 position. The handheld brush is operated by the airflow and cannot be turned off. Hope this answers your question.

Answer:	I have 4 dogs, 2 cats and 14 Guineas pigs. I would Bieber buy another vacuum cleaner after the fiasco we had last time. I had always used Shark but made the mistake of purchasing another vacuum that was on sale - BIG mistake. Shark is incredible. We have had it for 4 years and it is still going strong. And 2 of our dogs are long haired German shepherds. This machine is quiet enough where I can actually put the nozzle into my piggy cages to clean them - it picked up small amounts of hay and all of their poo. Super simple. We are getting another because we're so impressed with it.

Answer:	I have the standard brush. I might have gone with the premium brush if I had hardwood floors. The standard brush model has a three-way power switch which I believe the premium also has (Off, Suction Only, Suction with Brush). The Suction Only works really well on tile. The Dust-Away attachment is nice but I only have tile and not much of it so I frequently vacuum, suction only, and mop as needed.

Answer:	Yes this is a standard light switch that does not require a Neutral connection. Use caution and be certain that the wire you’re referring to is indeed a neutral and not a Load or Traveler wire. If you have only 2 wires connected to the old switch (besides the ground), then those are more than likely that they’re Hot and Load wires. Please contact tech support if you need further assistance.

Answer:	I'd rate it higher--I'd give it 4.5 out of 5. If it had fancier attachments with a little more reach, It'd give it a 5 out of 5, but the attachments are not so important to me. I give it a 5 out of 5 for ease of emptying out the dust bin and ease of access to filter. I am also amazed at how well it picks up both on carpet and tile, especially for the price. And so easy to steer and get around. Still very happy with it.

Question:	how much the weight of the machine
Answer:	I can't say for sure, but I am a small woman 76 years old, weigh 105 pounds and I clean upstairs and downstairs carrying this vacum cleaner in a couple hours and it doesn't feel heavy to me, nor do I have any aches and pains from vacuuming. This vacuum cleaner is powerful and so wonderful.
Question:	What is the horsepower
Answer:	I'd suspect that ALL of the answers are incorrect except "I don't know". Vacuums are rated in amps. From the Hoover commercial website: 7.4 amps. Way less than 2.2HP...
Question:	Does this lay flat enough to vacuum under a large bed with just a few inches of clearance
Answer:	Yes...it's flat enough to do under the bed. It's even flat enough to go under my sectional couch and oversized chair and ottoman. Great vacuum...plenty of power.
Question:	how is it on drapes and bamboo curtains
Answer:	I use mine on my ceilings, walls, drapes and mini blinds works great

Question:	My wood floors are not sealed. Can I still use this product
Answer:	According to the directions no, Two of my floors are not sealed though and I still use it, I try not to use as much water and I move a lot faster to get the little I use up fast but I haven't see any problems

Answer:	Awesome on tile. Cleans grout also unlike the steamers. I was amazed at how much dirt came if the floors that were steam cleaned for 2 years.
Question:	What is the difference between this model and the previous one
Answer:	The newer model is slightly larger, but weighs less than 14lbs. which is 8.3lbs. There are solutions designed for use cleaning grout and another for wood floors.I like that it leaves the floor so dry that there are no steaks and so clean that you can feel the difference with your bare feet. As I said, I didn't have the previous version, all the technical information I found on different web sites and the last is my personal opinion and observation. I have other brands that called their brands (Shark, Bissell and others) that said they were cleaners or sanitizers and all they did was much around hot, dirty water. The only difference between them and mopping is that they were easier to push around, the water remained hot, and you were not bending over to wring it out. Even the ones that said they dried the floors, did not unless you went over them at least at least three times (it varied, depending on the humidity level). There is nothing worse than pulling up water that is not clean after you have used the machine at least twice. It is discouraging and disgusting. That is why I LOVE this one, it cleans using very little of the 2x solution (a small bottle is included) and then removes the water leaving you with a clean, dry floor without streaks. It is lightweight and I am nor writhing in pain when I finish.
Question:	How it cleaning corners and along baseboards? Does the unit go all the way to the baseboards
Answer:	To answer your question specifically, no, the machine cannot go flush up against the baseboard and into corners because the cleaning brushes are recessed a small distance from the front edge of the machine. There is also a small area on either side of a threshold when moving from one room to another which the machine doesn't clean very well. This happens with a change from one flooring material to another (i.e., vinyl to tile, vinyl to wood, wood to marble). But, overall, these baseboard, corner and threshold areas are small enough that I can use a soft cleaning tool such as a mop or sponge, to my satisfaction. I hope this helps.Judy

Question:	What is the difference between this and the SteamVac also by Hoover
Answer:	I have been comparing them to decide which one I want, this one (hoover Power Scrub) has automatic mixing of the detergent solution and the water, so you can choose a water only (rinse) or water with cleaning solution. The SteamVac, you must mix the solution in the water tank, so in order to rinse you would have to completely empty out the clean tank and then add just water. The power scrub only turns off the scrub brushes when the handle is in the upright and locked position. The scrub brushes on the SteamVac can be adjusted for gentle, normal, and off. They both use heated air on the dry (suction) strokes to help with drying. It looks like the SteamVac might be a little cheaper but then it doesn't come with all the attachments the power Scrub does. In fact it is a little vague on which attachments come with it. I checked the owners manual for both of these for this information. The Power Scrub is about 2 pounds lighter than the SteamVac. The assembly of the SteamVac seems a lot more involved. I think I am about sold on the Hoover Power Scrb Deluxe carpet cleaner.
Question:	can the brushes be shut off
Answer:	There is a rubber flap on the back of the dirty water tank. If you open that, it breaks the airflow that drives the brushes. It won't pick up liquid while the flap is open though, so I spray and scrub with it open, then seal the flap to extract liquid. I'm not sure if that is the purpose of the flap, but it works.
Question:	Do i have to rinse after i shampoo? seems like an annoying extra step. never had a carpet cleaner that did that
Answer:	If you think of shampooing your carpet like shampooing your hair, it makes sense to rinse. Adding shampoo to you hair and then stepping out of the shower might make your hair clean, but it's not going to be soft. Long ago (LONG ago) when I shampoo'd carpets as part of my job, we were taught to think of it as hair: (a) Lay down a bit of water first; (b) apply shampoo; (c) rinse it out. If the carpeted area was heavy traffic, do just like the shampoo bottle says -- apply a second bit of shampoo, work it in, and then rinse it out. Over the years I've ALWAYS done that when cleaning my own 2500 sq feet of WHITE carpet in my house, and it always comes out fluffy, soft, and white. Even with several black dogs.
Question:	Would you recommend for pet owners? I have 4 pets and wonder if the pieces are easy enough to take apart to remove hair that will surely accumulate
Answer:	This was my first scrubber for carpets. I broke my ankle soon after I got it, so I only got to use it 3 times. I thought it did a good job on open areas. I did not like how it did close to the edges of the carpet where it meets the wall. I used it on steps and it did fine. One thing I remember is hold the dirty water container tightly when you go to empty it or the dirty water can spill out all over your work that you've done. Once you have figured out how to assemble and take apart, it is fairly easy then. I liked the fact that it gets the water up fairly well. For the money, I am happy with it, I have two cats. Must mention it takes some strength to work on steps and edges, as I used a large toothbrush. But the latter doesn't have anything to do with the animals, I was just giving you my opin of the machine.
