Answer:	Hi. Thanks for your question! Although Encore is perhaps the toughest wood deck coating on the market, if the boat deck is wood and stays saturated, we would not recommend this product. If the deck is steel, then it would do well. The surface would just need to be properly cleaned and prepared prior to application. If you have any other questions, please feel free to to contact us. Question:	will this work on rooled roofing/ fiberglass shingles
Answer:	I don't know why the reviews are so old. I purchased one container of Encore Wood Deck Coating last September (I think) to rehabilitate an old, splintered, weathered 10' X 12' dock. I sanded and washed the deck before applying the coating and it sealed beautifully. I had enough for two thick coats on the 120 sq.ft. dock and one on the 15' ramp that leads to it. The coating is THICK and requires a good amount of work to get it into the cracks and holes in the wood. Again, mine was badly pocked and cracked but between a long-nap roller and a brush, I was able to create a well-sealed surface. The cool thing is that the paint I used to tint the Encore coating (Glidden, Florida Panthers Dark Red) is the same as what I used for the railings and posts. There is a slight difference in color, but it blends well enough to look uniform.
Question:	what is the best procedure to apply this product
Answer:	This product does create a thermal layer between your feet and the concrete. When you apply Cool to your concrete surface, it helps to create a heat sink in the soil below the slab. This means that the heat is actually pulled through the slab and dissipates into the soil. This is much better than a coating that would reflect the heat upwards. It is an amazing technology. Question:	How many sq feet coverage and can it be applied over rolled roofing
Answer:	Bill. The deck needs to be clean and free from any loose or peeling material. Loose nails should be replaced with deck screws and warped or deficient boards should be repaired or replaced. The Encore site has videos and a great FAQ page for more information.

Question:	Hi, the membrane is "28 mil thick" do you mean 28millimeters because thats imposible thats over half and inch think can not be 28mil=28millimeters
Answer:	A mil is a thousandth of an inch. so .001 inches. so 28 mils is .028 inches. For reference, 1/16 of an inch is .0625 inches. 1/32 of an inch is .03125 inches. so you are looking at a material that is a little under 1/32 of an inch. Just about the thickness of a dime, give or take.

Answer:	Yeah the rough side goes up. I just installed mine. If yours has been sitting in the box for a while, you might want to let it lay out on the roof of the RV for a while to get the more permanent wrinkles out before you try to glue. I had mine sitting for a while and the folded portions made getting the air bubbles out pretty difficult.
Question:	Can this be used on mobile double wide home roof
Answer:	I wouldn't. All the penetrations are sealed with glue or caulk. Those are difficult to get perfect. on your doublewide, the roof is sloped enough to allow shingles, which are much easier to get a good water tight flashing around the various penetrations. That said, in theory yes you could roof a doublewide, or any other roof, with this material as the outer membrane.

Answer:	It is commonly used for flat roofs. It is smooth, no texture. While you can "walk" on it I would not recommended it for use for the top surface of a deck.

Answer:	It’s a vulcanized rubber so it won’t melt It’s an effective rain barrier but it will not conform to the rippled corrugated roof, unless It is glued down

Question:	Can this be used on asphalt tile roofs
Answer:	Snow guard is to slow down snow from sliding off metal roof like an avalanche. With asphalt tile they usually have enough friction that snow won't slide off in big chunk. I used to have regular shingles and never had big chunk of snow sliding off my roof which might be dangerous if it hit a person or a car. I'd two of my window wells damaged by the fallen snow pile.

Question:	can you install it on top of your shingles
Answer:	You could but you will have holes to fill in later where the screws were. It's not meant to be a permanent anchor. Usually used during construction. Make sure you screw into something solid (ie: follow the directions).
Question:	Can this be used on a standing seam metal roof
Answer:	As long as it is screwed securely according to the instructions provided. It's meant to be a temporary anchor. There are other products made for permanent anchors.
Question:	Does this have to be installed on the ridge vent or it can be installed on any flat area on the roof
Answer:	First matter to be clear, this is NOT a finished roof anchor! Secondly my question to you is, what is your intention of using this roof anchor? To actually preserve a life, or the appearance of following an OSHA ordinance. The roof anchor can be placed just about anywhere. If you plan on putting it out in the middle of a sheet of plywood, you better have 32 screws. (16 for each side) I highly recommend reading local and state regulations. Personally when I use these for fall protection I put 6 screws in each side into rafters on bare plywood or roof to be torn off.
Question:	Can I leave it on the roof
Answer:	If its out in the weather it could rust. Not a problem immediately but you wouldnt want to go up several years later assuming it is structurally sound and find out the hard way (failure) that corrosion has made it unsafe.

Question:	Is there double side option
Answer:	I would not recommend that it be used where it will be underfoot. It has a thick adhesive layer and a thin top layer that is of a plastic nature. The adhesive is so thick that the eternabond would slide underfoot. I would use roll roofing nailed to the plywood, it would provide traction in about any weather. And it is inexpensive.
Question:	could i use this to protect the joists under my decking
Answer:	I just used a little powdered laundry detergent, just enough water to liquefy and a nylon bristle scrub brush to loosen any dirt, then wiped/rinsed with a clean cloth and water to remove all the detergent residue (I didn't flood the area with water as I had a leak and didn't want water saturating my ceiling again). Dryed the area as good as possible and covered it to keep it clean, letteing it continue to air dry another day or so. Area must be clean and dry - no moisture or dust. The eternabond has now been on (no curling or loosening of the edges) for over 2 years and many miles with no leak issues.

Answer:	Yes - sticks very well and permanently. There is a backing film you remove and then stick it. This wider tape is a little hard to work with and it will stick to itself very easy if it’s windy or you aren’t careful.
