14 best nose pliers with springs
Nose pliers with springs, commonly known as spring-loaded needle nose pliers, are a type of hand tool used in various applications, particularly in mechanics, electronics, and jewelry making. These pliers are designed to provide precision and control when gripping, bending, or manipulating small objects or wires in tight spaces. Here are some key features and uses of nose pliers with springs:
Needle Nose Design: These pliers have long, slender jaws that taper to a fine point, resembling the shape of a needle. This design allows them to access tight and hard-to-reach areas.
Spring-Loaded Mechanism: The spring-loaded feature in these pliers helps keep the jaws open by default, making them easier to handle and reducing hand fatigue during prolonged use. When you squeeze the handles, the spring action allows the jaws to close on the object.
Material and Durability: They are typically made from high-quality materials such as stainless steel or alloy steel, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion.
Gripping and Bending: Needle nose pliers are primarily used for gripping, bending, and manipulating small objects, wires, or components.Their precise, pointed jaws make them ideal for tasks that require fine control and a strong grip.
Electronics Work: These pliers are frequently used in electronics repair and assembly, where they help handle small components, bend leads, and reach into tight spaces on circuit boards.
Jewelry Making: Jewelers often use needle nose pliers for delicate tasks such as shaping wire, attaching clasps, and handling small gemstones or beads.
Mechanical Work: Mechanics use them for tasks like holding small nuts and bolts, reaching into tight engine compartments, or making adjustments in confined spaces.
Crafts and Hobbies: They are also popular among hobbyists and DIY enthusiasts who work on intricate projects that require precision and control.
Wire Cutting: Some needle nose pliers come with integrated wire cutters near the base of the jaws, allowing users to snip wires or other materials without the need for a separate cutting tool.
Safety: Always wear safety glasses or goggles when using needle nose pliers to protect your eyes from flying debris.
In summary, nose pliers with springs, or spring-loaded needle nose pliers, are versatile hand tools designed for precise gripping, bending, and manipulation of small objects and wires in various applications, including electronics, jewelry making, and mechanics. Their spring-loaded mechanism and fine-pointed jaws make them an essential tool for tasks that require precision and control.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can they be used on a computer in a tight spot to attach a small connector |
Answer: | Good question. I haven’t used them like that but it would be a good tool for it. |
Question: | I have a screw with a broken head under a carpet stair lip. Potential hazard as is. Can this cut it out smoothly |
Answer: | Unlikely. Depends on how tiny the screw is and what kind of metal. This will, at best, cut thin wire. Usually soft. Steel screws are unlikely. Your best bet is to file it down with a bastard file or hammer it down in. |
Question: | Can it also cut 25 gauge wire |
Answer: | No...This is not a cutter. Needlenose just grabs, does not cut. |
Question: | What is the distance from the 'hinge' to the end of the jaws? (Hopefully this distance is |
Answer: | The distance from the center of the pivot to the tip is 2 7/16", the length of the working edge of the plier is 2 1/4". The full length from tip to the end of the grip is 6". |

User questions & answers
Question: | are all Klein tools made in china now, or only some |
Answer: | These needle nose pliers are made in the USA. I have yet to see a Chinese Klein tool yet, but most companies are outsourcing to keep cost down. I hope quality doesn't change if this is happening. The made in USA, plus durability of Klien's tools is why I keep buying this brand. I have Klein lineman cutters that are 19 years old. I use Klein and Malco tools mostly. The only Klein tool I replace due to wear is my wire strippers. most of my tools have aged well and are out in the rain sometimes with me. I just spray with some wd40. |
Question: | Are the inside (the gripping surfaces) smoother or textured for grip |
Answer: | Yes inside the plier it is textured to have a better grip. |
Question: | Country of Origin for this product? Thanks in advance |
Answer: | I have a five inch and six inch Klein needle nose plier and the stamped markings do not indicate country of origin. For what it's worth, a retailer of this tool states the country of origin is U.S.A. See this link: http://www.grainger.com/product/KLEIN-TOOLS-Needle-Nose-Pliers-4A842 |

User questions & answers
Question: | How wide is the tip of this plier? I like the 7mm size wubbers, however, 6 1/2 inches long is a bit too large for my hand |
Answer: | Flat Nose Baby Wubbers specifications:Total Length of Pliers: 5.0 inchesWidth of the Jaw at the Tip: 3.0mmLength of Jaws from Tip to Box Joint: 24mmBox Joint: 7.0mm Deep by 9.0mm Wide by 27.0mm Long |
Question: | I'm considering purchasing these for use with micromaille. What is the thickness of the jaw at the tip |
Answer: | I'm not sure about measurements, but I use them with rings as small as 24g, 1/16" steel. The tips are very small. I just compared them to a 20g wire, and they're about the same. When I wprk with smaller rings, use one pair of these, & one pair of the baby bent nose. Best. Pliers. Ever. Hope my answer helps. |
Question: | The plier design does not show on Wubbers pliers. What does this denote? Are these original Wubbers? NanC |
Answer: | Thank you for your question. Yes, these are the "real" wubbers, Patti Bullard is the designer and Eurotool is I believe, the exclusive distributor for the wubbers brand. We are authorized eurotool sellers and carry the genuine wubbers products. |
Question: | I notice the plier design and question why the normal wubbers logo is not shown. Are these real Wubbers as designed by Patti Bullard? georgeefento |
Answer: | Yes they are. The pliers are smaller and are good for small hands and the finer gauge rings. Definitely Wubbers in a smaller size. |

TEKTON Mini Long Nose Pliers | PMN11001
Versatile, two-in-one design features a long, tapered, finely tipped nose with the sure grip of crosscut teeth and a wire cutter that cleanly snips copper, aluminum, and other soft metals.
Long, Tapered Nose
Offering extra reach into tight spaces, the long nose tapers from a wide base to a fine tip. To make sure the tip can consistently grasp the tiniest wires or parts, the base of the jaws is relieved with a small gap (0.3 mm +/- 0.1 mm) to prevent contact that would keep the tips from closing tightly together.
Fine Crosscut Teeth
Oriented at 120 degrees to each other—60 degrees to each side of the jaw centerline—the serrations are cut in two passes to form fine, regularly-spaced, diamond-shaped teeth. Unlike single serrations cut straight across the jaw, this pattern creates uniform contact across the jaw surface, allowing you to grasp, pull, and twist evenly in any direction. To maximize the size and usefulness of the contact area, the teeth are cut along the full length of the jaw, not just at the tip.
Built-In Wire Cutters
The second half of a versatile, two-in-one design, the integrated wire cutters cleanly snip soft metal wires like copper, aluminum, brass, and silver in sizes 14-38 AWG.
Recessed Coil Spring
Gently assisting the opening action of pliers, the long-arm coil spring is neatly tucked between handles so it won't get in the way or be accidentally dislodged. The spring itself has a relaxed opening angle of 137 degrees—nearly twice the opening angle of the pliers—so it stays properly tensioned when pliers are fully opened. Coiled twice, it achieves the right balance of the force required to open pliers with that required to close them, greatly improving overall control and reducing hand fatigue.
