| Answer: | There is not much of a color code. With that said I can give you some ideas as to what the grit may be. All pink files are a 280/320, Blue Files are a 120/240. Grey, Black, White could potentially be any grit combo from 80 to 240. These files come from a factory in the USA that normally produces a coarse grit. So you are likely to find the grey's to be 80/80. The best way to tell is to use your finger and gently rub across the surface. The more it catches the coarser it may be. I will use tack cloth when needed to collect dust from surroundings finishes and occasionally use a tooth brush over teh trash can next to my bench to clean off the sticks, which for me is as much about keeping them sanding as it is about dust. |
