Answer:	Interestingly, mine does not - mine fits an original ipad mini. My daughter has the same case for an ipad mini 4 and hers does have a strap. I really like this case, but do be careful picking the right size for your ipad, the differences in sizes are miniscule and there's no wiggle room as the frame that holds it in is solid plastic.
