Answer:	That is what I purchased it form - to pick up kitty litter from my bathroomn floor. The handheld component works good but wanted it for the broom component. Even with it fully charged, it only picks up about 50% of the litter. I am very disappointed as it is not the quality of Dirt Devil product.
Question:	Does this vacuum have a powered beater bar. The brush roll description is not clear
Answer:	Yes it has a powered beater bar. But it does trap a lot, and I mean a lot of hair. I find that I have to pull hairs out from being tangled around the brush bar after every use. I'm guessing the bristles are too long and not dense enough to allow the hairs to pass into the vacuum and instead winds around the bar.
Question:	Will the handle lay flat to the floor to vacuum under a bed in a carpeted room? How much clearance is needed
Answer:	The handle lays flat to the floor. I measured and you would need 6 inches of clearance. This is so the body of the vacuum can have clearance and not the handle. I have been very pleased with mine. It is easy to maneuver and is light weight enough that it does not cause me to be in pain later after using it. I have not been able to use a heavier vacuum because of the pain I would suffer later. With Fibromyalgia I have to be careful of what I do or use. Keep in mind that this is a light weight vacuum and the motor is not as strong as a regular vacuum. This is great for quick clean ups. It can be used for heavier cleaning, but it will take several passes with this vacuum to get the area as clean as a larger vacuum would do. I hope this answers your question. It will lay flat enough to vacuum under your bed.

Answer:	Same problem here. Mine is going back too. Wife has one at our Florida home and it also does the same thing. Brush also seems to have a lot of trouble restarting as well.

Answer:	It works well on hardwood. I don't see why it wouldn't on laminate. Its onli drawback is ihat it needs a lot of cleaning because it tends to pick up a lot of debris in the carpet cleaning mode.

Answer:	I had the 50010 for 8 years, and just purchased the 50020 today after the other person living in my house dropped and broke it. The differences I see are: The 020 has way better smooth rolling wheels, my 010 was noisy on hardwoods, this one feels padded and it quiet and rolls much better. The 020 also has covered rear wheels where as 010 are exposed. The 020 has a black color scheme the 010 is silver. The 020 has a slightly larger canister/dust bin, but I think this might be in width as I believe the old canister fits. Canister on 020 is smoke colored, on 010 it is clear. You can see content easilt on both. Interior canister plastic dust filter on 020 is clear, on 010 its red they apear the same dimensions and are interchangeable, however the fit of this in connection is tighter on the 020. My 010 was old and mucky, but I believe the 020 has better picking up off the side like when I clean at a floorboard. I also feel relatively confident that it possibly has a slightly better battery life, although both use same battery. Both use same filter and filter holder, same power switch scheme, same method of attaching / detaching head, assembly (one screw to attach handle to body), and both have a visible battery meter in the same location. The 020 of course is the updated version. My local box store only had this one in stock.

Answer:	Actually yes it does, but you'll have to adjust the tool angle on the stick to 90 degrees right or left (actually remount it 90 degrees from center where you normally vacuum upright) - meaning the head will lay flat relative to the body of the vacuum. Old trick from prior vacuums that do not have a swivel head so I can vacuum under the bed.
Question:	Is this good for carpets
Answer:	It works really good on my carpet.
Question:	Self-cleaning
Answer:	I don't know if self cleaning is the right term. Easy cleaning would be better. All one has to do is hold the collection cup over a rubbish bin, press the release button and it empties. Very easy to do. I am very pleased with the overall quality and efficiency of this product.
