Answer:	Yes, it should protect your buffet as long as it is not damp underneath the pot. Check the area after your are done with the coffee pot for moisture. This mat is like a wick with moisture. We place ours under our Keurig coffee maker. If we spill water onto it (when refilling the resevoir), we soak up excess moisture with a paper towel then dry the pad in the dryer; otherwise the water sets under the pad. It is washable; wring out as much water as your can with a towel, otherwise it may take a couple hours to dry in a dryer (on high).

Answer:	This mat is 12-inches wide x 18-inches long, so how wide is your dual coffee system at its widest? Most that I looked at were running between 11 to 14-inches wide, so it depends on your coffee maker’s measurement. I cut mine to fit onto my coffee drawer on which my coffee maker sits. It washes fine by the way.
