| Answer: | it's not difficult and absolutely necessary if you want it to continue to function properly. we have 2 dogs and three cats, and although hubby is bald i have hair down to my waist, so needless to say i'm daily vacuuming an assortment of hair of varying lengths. i'm assuming you are hoping to clean the head beyond the cursory just removing hair/carpet fibers from the bristles of the roller. first you'll have to un-do the two plastic 'screws' on the bottom of the unit. a dime or rounded tip of a butter knife work best. once that's removed find the 4 screw-holes. these screws require a star-tipped tool(we bought a set of them in varying sizes) once you've unscrewed these 4 screws the next bottom plate can be lifted free. at this point you'll be able to free the roller brush bar from the head. pay special attention to both ends of the roller where it attaches to the head assembly. in my experience both ends become literally packed with wound up hair, which ultimately prevents the roller from rotating at all. i've used needle-nosed pliers, tweezers, upholstery needles all in my efforts to remove the wound up debris. experience will teach you what best works for yours. while you have it apart it pays to go ahead and remove everything else that's become trapped in/around the moving part. the head can be taken apart further, though i don't do that usually but twice a year. it's a matter of a few more screws and close attention to putting it all back as it was. however the thorough cleaning of the roller bar i suspect is what you are most interested in. in my experience(with our # of animals etc,) i have to disassemble mine at least once a month to keep it turning freely and doing an optimal job. hope this helps. m. waite |

| Answer: | No, the bag change indicator should reset itself. If it is still showing orange, then you likely have a clog in the hose or wand somewhere that is reducing the suction. This can happen sometimes when bags get overfilled and particles start to sit in areas that they shouldn't and cause a clog. Hopefully this info helps. |

| Answer: | This is the most powerful vacuum I’ve ever had! We have all hardwoods and tile with some braided area rugs. You can adjust the suction with the power control or a suction bypass on the wand. I’d think you would be fine. It is a very nice vacuum! |

The suction goes from drapery type of suction (light) to a strong suctioning function that frankly I have rarely even used on my new carpets. |

| Answer: | According to the user manual, this model will accept four different air exhaust filters. Including the HEPA, and the charcoal impregnated filter. There are three different filters to think about in this model. First the debris collection bag is a filter. Then the Motor protection filter. Then the air exhaust filter. When you buy a box of debris collection bags, some packages include these other filters. So read the packaging carefully, and don't shop only on price per bag. |

I went through weeks of frustration and finally got a local vacuum store to help me after considerable financial investment. The electrobrush was never going to work with my model despite all the assurances given me by the Miele customer service reps. |

| Answer: | It's very easy to get the debris out: since one usually takes care of wet messes by other means, one always vacuums dry things, e.g., dust and pet hair. Since the walls of the container are hard plastic, everything usually just falls out without sticking. My experience is that nothing sticks to the walls of the container. In fact, I've found the walls of bags to hold more dust than the walls of a hard plastic container. And with a hard plastic container, you can actually wipe it clean if you are really worried. The latter is much harder with a bag. |

I have not had any issues with any of my flooring in fact I'm pretty sure my carpets are cleaner since I started using my Miele. The best thing is that it will automatically turn off the roller brush on it's own when I'm moving from room to room and you have 5 levels to choose from level 1 being hardwood flooring and as high as level 5 for deep pile carpeting. The suction is outstanding and I love that when I change the bag it's completely sealed so nothing in the bag comes out. I highly recommend this specific Miele Vacuum. |
