Answer:	Yes, it can, but you may find it too large for the 40.5 size and therefore not as convenient to use? I use it for 77mm filters and they fit very inside perfectly. It is very well made and I really like it.
Question:	Can this be used when installing a drop-in tub to keep bath water warm
Answer:	The belt loop is a sewn on nylon belt that closes with Velcro. The Velcro "pinches" the belt strap on both top and bottom -- it Velcro's to the body of the pack then a flap comes over and secures the closure from the other side. It is locked so well it is kind of difficult to get off. I am pretty satisfied with its security, BUT, I never use it on my belt. I keep it in my camera bag.

CABLE GUIDES

Designed for fast installation of the the heating cable, simply loop the floor heating cable around the guide as you lay the cable system across the subfloor.

Secure the cable guides according to the planned layout using screws, nails, adhesive or glue approved for use with the given subfloor.  The heating element should be spaced 3" apart across the area to be heated.  Cable guides should be run perpendicular to heating cables.  The heating cables should have a minimum distance of 2" from walls and objects. Spacing between cable guides should not exceed 36" in distance.  Secure the heating element to cable guides by wrapping the wire around the stud.  Maintain moderate tension of cable throughout installation.  Do not twist heating element and keep the minimum bending radius of the cable to 1".

Cable guides are 12" long and can be cut to length. Includes enough cable guides for cable heating system.

Answer:	It will work perfectly. It's designed for a scenario just like yours.

Answer:	720 watt has a larger surface area than 500 watt size thus more wiring to cover the mat. The warmth output and temperatures is the same for all 3 sizes.
Question:	Do I need to buy a thermostat to control it? Or can it be connected to a switch? Just on and off
Answer:	Would you have access to the control switch? You would need to have the anti slip pad to keep the Hot Carpet from sliding. The pads does offer some protection depending on the brand you get. I have had mine on Hard floor for years and I have not had any discoloration and have not had any complaints from other users . If your worried that it might warp the standard 3/4 inch oak floor boards that would not happen. Your other worry could be discoloration and if that's the case I would play if safe and not use the product
Question:	Can these be cut and wired in a series to one thermostat
Answer:	I went and bought a Utilitech #0224879 timer from Lowes Home Improvement store 24 hour repeating cycle programmable in 30-minute interval for about $10.00.Programmed the timer for the desired on/off time set the current time, next I plugged the timer into the wall followed by plugging the mat cord into the timer. Make sure you leave the mat in the on position when you plug the mat into the timer.Waited for a while to see if the mat would turn off/on with the settings I decided on and it worked like a charm.Yes, the Hot Carpet will work fine using a timer!The Cord from the controller box to end of the plug is about 62 inches.

Question:	How do you secure the wire
Answer:	The heating wire can be secured to a subfloor with the cable guides (metal strap on a picture). Or with hot glue, or hvac tape (aluminum foil tape) - these are not included in a kit.
Question:	There are two different pictures shown for the thermostat controller. Which one comes with the product
Answer:	From what I can see in the pics, the 3rd picture just shows the thermostat with the 2 side covers, which hide the settings buttons, open. We have this system at home and the thermostat is as it appears in the pictures. The sides do open and close to reveal the buttons. Hope that helps!
Question:	Can you add more wire to increase the square footage? Or does that controller only cover 30 square feet
Answer:	The maximum combined load per one thermostat is 15.0 Amps. This allows to control up to 150sqft (1,800 Watts) per thermostat using 120V heating system, or up to 300sqft (3,600 Watts) per thermostat using 240V heating system. 30sqft, 120V cable has 3 Amps load. You can add up to 12 Amps or 120sqft, 120V. Multiple cables must be wired to the thermostat in parallel.

Answer:	Hello, with the wide range of Linoleum available on the market today I'd be hesitant to answer this without the Linoleum manufacturer's recommendation. My suggestion would be to talk to your Linoleum supplier and find out what they say about having floor heating under their product, also make sure the glue is compatible with radiant floor heating.
Question:	hi, can you set a timer for it to come on early..like an hour before you usually wake up so that its nice and toasty
Answer:	Yes, it comes with a programmable thermostat and you can set different times for different days of week, and you can program twice a day - so maybe a 3 hour chunk in the morning and other chunk at night.
Question:	I want to install this under a granite island counter top do you think this is possible
Answer:	Certainly possible, I am just not sure how well it will work thru that thickness of that stone. I have heard from others that their floor heater gets too hot to use. Mine is set to 76 and it is not hot, just very comfortable to walk on during the cold ohio weather. I have not cranked it up to the high setting which I think is 82. I would think if your granite supplier is familiar with this and say it works, I would have no hesitation that this unit could not do the job.
Question:	Can this product be installed directly on concrete
Answer:	I installed mine directly to the concrete slab and poured a self leveling compound over the top. It works just fine. I think the larger concrete slab acts as a giant heat sink and maybe doesn’t get as warm as it might otherwise and/or takes a little longer to heat up. That said, it works great and gets plenty warm where we actually laid it... in front of the sinks and in front of the shower. If you step off that area you can tell an immediate difference and I wish we’d put down a little more than we did.

"I" is for producing heat at 750 watts, "II" will produce heat faster and hotter at 1500 watts, and "Fan" will blow out cool air. Then turn the thermostat knob on the left toward the + sign. The adjustable temperature range is 0℉ to 158℉. It will get the heater to cycle on and off according to if the room's temperature reaching heater's setting temperature

Answer:	I would think the size “ 31 1/2 to 35 would fit him best : especially if he has skinny arms ; it fits very snug in the torso so the next size up could work too . I had to order one to determine but had to order another one .

Answer:	Yes.... Well, I guess it depends on the size of breast & whether they are being supported off the waistline. If they are large enough to protrude sideways allot, inhibiting the straight downward hold of the elbow to the waist, it may be difficult. I have 38C breasts that I kept a bra on to be comfortable. My elbow fits by length to my side at my waist where the brace set at its lowest to maintain the strap arount the bisept area/just above the elbow & then the strap at my wrist. I am 5'9" @ 160lbs Hope this helps you.

Answer:	Absolutely! As long as you dont cut them to fit (which isn't needed). I use them in my upstairs in the winter to close off the heat in the upstairs and then change to the vents in the downstairs in the summer. They work wonders!

Answer:	It is made to use when heat is on. The composition appears to be a flexible metallic base covered by vinyl. I don’t know what temp your air is from your furnace, but it should be safe for a normal furnace vent temp of 140 to 170 degrees
