Answer:	Oiginally I thought that this trash can would not take 13 gallon bags. Tried a few times with no luck. Then tried again, stretching the edge of the bag a little and it fit. Snug, but worked!

Answer:	The lid is a little difficult to attach. The cross bar fits into the sides, but it takes a little strength to force it in. It is hard to explain, but you should be able to see how it fits on each side. Just use a little force to fit it into the 2 holes. Fit it into one hole first and use a little pressure to get it into the other hole.

Answer:	I was confused by the specifics of this question, but after I measured mine, i figured it out. The trash can tapers down to the bottom. While the top opening is 12.5" by the time you get to the bottom the diameter is reduced to 11.5".

This is actually a pretty small trash can and we only kept it to put the kitty litter in it and it stays out on the balcony. Answer:	The top half of the trash can can be compressed a bit width-wise. But the wider part on the bottom (just above the narrow base) is the same width as the top. It is very thick plastic and will not bend at all.

Answer:	Yes the ends of the liner will hang out. However, I taped a liner to the inside and now you do not see the plastic bag liner.
