Answer:	I would say brewing time is about 2-3 minutes and it continues frothing for 1 minute (I've timed this) when brewing is complete before it is finished. So a total time of 3-4 minutes.

Answer:	Yes, it comes with disposable filters to get you started and recommends replacing those with more disposable or a permanent filter. The filter size is 4-cups.

Answer:	Yes Martin you can use any milk. It says froth volume will vary with the type of milk used. For soy, almond, non-fat milk use less milk to avoid pitcher overflow. I have only used skim so far and I don't fill it all the way to max. I fill it in between the one and two cup line.

Answer:	The compost bin is for holding your compostables until you dump it into a composter (compost pile or outdoor composter), it is for holding compostsbles until composting but don't leave the compost goodies in bin too long or you will have mold, no need to add worms to a compost pile because the pile generates alot of heat when composting, add worms later when you use the composted material, otherwise the worms would probably cook

Answer:	We bought a compost mixer/aerator (Bosmere Compost Aerator, 36"). We bought a composter that you roll by hand, but after awhile it became too heavy and messy so we went back to the box-type composter. We are very happy with this one. Hope this answers your question.
Question:	is the plastic insert dishwasher safe
Answer:	It wouldn't be hard to unscrew the bar that goes through the inside of the drum to remove the drum from the base. However, I don't think that's the best way to get the finished compost out. I have not gotten to that point yet, but I just plan on parking the wheelbarrow under the drum, opening the cover and spinning it so the opening is at the bottom. Hopefully the good dirt will just spill out into the wheelbarrow. (Only after I purchased it did I think about how hard it was going to be to get the compost out once finished.)

How to avoid stainless steel rust

1. If the stainless steel surface contains dust of other metal elements or attachment of dissimilar metal particles. In humid air, the condensed water between the attached material and the stainless steel connects the two into a micro battery, triggering an electrochemical reaction. The protective film is destroyed, which is called electrochemical corrosion.

2. The surface of the stainless steel adheres to the organic juice (such as melon, noodle soup, etc.), which will constitute an organic acid in the presence of water and oxygen, and the organic acid will corrode the metal surface.

3. The surface of the stainless steel adheres to acid, alkali, and salt substances (such as splash of alkaline water and lime water), will cause local corrosion.

4. In polluted air (such as the atmosphere containing a large amount of sulfide, carbon oxide, nitrogen oxide), sulfuric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid liquid spots will form in the condensed water, causing chemical corrosion.

5. Please take care to avoid the damp environment and avoid washing with steel balls and bleaching agents or abrasives.

All of these can cause the stainless steel surface protection film to corrode, then causing rust. Therefore, in order to ensure that the metal surface is bright and not rusted, we recommend:

1. Rinse with neutral cleaner. Dry them after washing.

Answer:	I love this bin thus far, but I do have a couple of concerns. Because we seem to live on top of a large anthill (!), we have to take special precautions all the time to stop the little buggers from sensing odors. How long will the filter prevent odors from escaping before the ants start attacking? We are vegetarian, so the scraps we put in this container are only fruit and veggie scraps (and peanut shells and corn cobs from feeding critters). Thanks much.

Answer:	I haven’t ever put it in the dishwasher. It rinses our very easily in the sink.

Answer:	I don't see any printing anywhere on the can to show where it was manufactured. One thing I do know is that the lid doesn't sit down tightly so flies get in!!
