User questions & answers

Question: How much do these weigh together
Answer: The flippers are short in comparison with others that i used before. But they are easy to handle and wear. The are not for rapid swimming. They're perfect for beginners.
Question: Do these come with a bag
Answer: Yes, The small we used were for a 6.5 foot and they were big and the strap was adjustable to fit that size, I do recommend a fin sock though, you'll get chafed if not.
Question: Which one is longer, this one or the Cressi Agua fins
Answer: vendor called it universal sizes, to me that would be mens sizes to also accommodate for width as well, my wife wears a size 5 and the medium worked just fine for her, just a warning the snorkel does not work that great, I got the us divers and that one worked great.

Cressi Free Diving Reactive Long Fins - High-Performance, Good Control - Gara 200 HF: Made in Italy

Cressi

Based on 93 reviews Check latest price

Product description

The first fin in the world made by combining three different materials, a process that Cressi perfected and patented with this fin, which guarantees unsurpassable performance. The blade is made from a special, incredibly reactive polypropylene, which is at the same time extremely light, and progressively charges up during the stride to take off like a spring at the exact moment the stride is inverted. A soft elastomer anatomically wraps around the foot, blocking it with a comfortable bite, which guarantees perfect transmission of the leg-fin thrust. A suitably solid copolymer hardens some critical zones of the foot, and is extended along the sides in two lateral stringers, which go halfway along the blade. The function of these stringers, assisted by special raised bands on the bottom of the blade, is to regulate and harmonize the bending, at the same time protecting it from shocks and abrasions. The fins are extraordinarily light compared to equivalent models of rubber footed fins and reduces the inertial masses to the minimum, to the full advantage of the effort-efficiency ratio. This fin is designed for deep skin-diving, although some Scuba professionals and instructors appreciate it a great deal. Can comfortably be worn with or without neoprene socks. The Gara 2000 HF is designed and manufactured in Italy by Cressi, a brand pioneer in scuba diving, snorkeling, and swimming equipment since 1946. The product is covered by a 2-year limited warranty.

Based on 398 reviews Check latest price

Product description

Cressi’s latest addition to its extensive line of world renowned fins is the Frog Plus open heel scuba diving fin. The Frog Plus features many of the great characteristics of a traditional paddle fin along with introducing a revolutionary new blade material that is both extremely durable and nearly indestructible. The Frog Plus utilizes Cressi’s patented three material injection molding process. The three materials consist of a nice comfortable rubber on the foot pocket that extends up the side rails of the blade. The second material is the revolutionary new dual density techno polymer which forms the blade, and in conjunction with the third silicone based material creates a channeling effect. The channeling effect is the characteristic of the fin that enables a high level of energy to be transferred in both up and down strokes of the kick pattern. The Frog Plus also incorporates Cressi’s patented positioning of the foot pocket below the blade. This design increases the working surface area of the blade by 20%. The combination of the channeling effect and the foot pocket mounted beneath the blade creates a very powerful and efficient fin with minimal leg strain. Because of these characteristics, the Frog Plus fin is an ideal choice for the entry level to advanced diver. The Frog Plus is designed and made in Italy by Cressi, a brand pioneer in Scuba Diving, Snorkeling and Swimming equipment since 1946. The product is covered by a 2-year limited warranty.

Cressi Men's Gara 3000 LD Long Distane Long Blade Diving Fins (with Bag)

Cressi

Based on 172 reviews Check latest price

Product description

The structure of the Gara 3000 LD is identical to the greatly-appreciated Gara 3000, but the material of the blade, which is softer, is what makes them stand out. The LD in the 3000 LD stands for Long Distance, indicating the main use of the product, and these fins have emerged from the need to offer enthusiasts increasingly powerful fins, which are however less demanding than the Gara 3000 fins. Less muscle effort is required for kicking so divers can use them for longer, making them perfect to use many hours in a row. The softer blade is also very suitable for use in cold water, which is notorious for its tendency to stiffen materials and make them less flexible.

  • Designed for Free Divers, Long Flexible Plastic Blade Material, Easier to Kick for Longer Use, Versatile Fin for Spear Fishing, Free and Scuba Diving
  • LD Stands for Long Distance, Increasingly Powerful Fins, with Less-Demand, Less Muscle-Effort Required for Kicking, Leg Fatigue Reduced
  • Softer-Blade Great in Cold Water, Cold Water is Notorious for Stiffening Fin Materials, Excellent Choice for Experienced Free Divers or for Entry-Level Diver
  • Allows New Divers to Develop Stamina, Flexible, Lightweight Design w/Custom Fitting Foot Pocket, Soft Elastomer Foot Pocket, Anatomically Wraps-Around-the-Foot
  • s Perfect Transmission of Leg-Fin Thrust, Durably-Constructed and Designed to Take Abuse, Comfortable and Secure for Transportation

User questions & answers

Question: I am interested in swimming laps and want a good quality fin. Which do you recommend? I am more interested in quality than price
Answer: Hey man, These fins are great for freediving but I would say to long for swimming laps. Go with a normal length fin for swimming laps and snorkelling. These fins when swimming along the surface are too long and require a wide kick and are best suited for swimming under water. Hope this helps, Cheers
Question: Can I wear dive boots with these
Answer: No. You could possibly wear very thin dive socks (neoprene) but these are basically made to be worn on bare feet.
Question: Is the size 8-9 and 42/43 the same size? I wear a 9.5 tennis shoe in America. What size is recommended
Answer: I wear a European 43 or an American 9.5. My feet are a little wide, and the 8-9 size fits me a little snug because of my wide feet, but I recommend this size.
Question: Is the bag in the picture an original mares bag
Answer: I'm not for sure what a "mares" bag is, but the bag I recieved was a little different than pictured. I recieved a cressi bag to match the fins, it has been very durable so far for the past two years.

User questions & answers

Question: If I wear a womens 9, what size should I order
Answer: You should check the diagram they have on shoe size, and order according the european sizing. If you wear a womens 9 you should order a 7/8, this works best for barefoot use or with a 2mm neoprene sock. 7/8 is a 41/42 european size.
Question: How comfortable are these? do i need socks/booties? i wear a size 7/8, what eu size is that? do these make you swim fast (snorkeling
Answer: Hi XXVll_Doctor! Thanks for writing in to us here at Pleasure Sports. 41/42 in Eu Sizing. I like these a lot, you do not have to wear socks if you do not want to. As far as making you swim fast, the longer the fin the faster you typically go. If you want a fast fin - I like the Mares Avante Tre or the Mares Volo Power. We have those in stock too. This is a great all around fin, a little more ridged than say the Avante Tre and shorter. Let me know if I can help you further. - Your Friends at Pleasure Sports
Question: I'm women size 8.5 what size do I need to get
Answer: I suggest the 5. I am a 8.5/9 and it is comfortable.
Question: I wear US 9 size, what size should I buy? Actual menu size differs from posted reviews
Answer: I'm also a size 9. I originally got the 41/42, which fit perfect dry, but when I got in the water with them, my foot had too much play. I'm returning them for the 39/40. I'd rather them be a little tight than get blisters from my foot sliding around. I'll comment later on how the new ones fit when they arrive.

Product description

A highly advanced design for this fin that is molded from two materials with very different characteristics: a strong polypropylene for the blade and soft elastomers (thermo-rubber) for the foot and protective inserts. The result is an extremely light and well-balanced fin, of average size, with surprising reaction time and a formidable thrust. The side stringers that extend all along the blade and two flaps situated along the end of the blade itself make the fin very directional. The blade originates from the upper part of the foot pocket, with a 20% increase in useful surface area compared to a traditional fin of the same length. The foot pocket is computer designed and guarantees ideal transmission of the leg-fin thrust. The lightness and perfect balance of the materials, together with the extremely modern design, make the Pro Light a generous fin that provides exuberant performance without too much physical effort. These fins are perfect both for beginners and for professionals and are very common among instructors and technical divers.

The Pro Light is designed and made in Italy by Cressi, a brand pioneer in Scuba Diving, Snorkeling and Swimming equipment since 1946.

Question: What are the dimensions of this item
Answer: This item is three dimensional.
Question: I have boots and am a size 10 would they still be able to fit in M/L
