Question:	Is it hard to put together or take apart
Answer:	Very easy to do both. All you need to take it apart would be to pull off the shelves one by one. I would suggest upside down after removing the top shelf. Then hit lightly with a hammer or mallet from below each shelf to loosen it from the plastic two parts that hold each side of the shelves. Once they are loose they will come apart. When putting it together, the number one thing is to pay attention to the plastic parts because they all say, this side up. You put the side down, you will never get it together. FYI when you unpack the parts a bunch of round black plastic pieces (that look like junk) will fall of, those are ONLY for protecting the posts when shipping so when putting together make sure they are not inside the posts or you will not be able to put it together. The actual parts come in a large bag full of smaller bags, each one is for putting together one shelf. The instructions mention it, but some people are commenting that they are broken pieces because they can't read. lol I'm 70 and I have put together 9, my most recent today. I'm sure you can also. They are sturdy and my older ones have been in use for a decade.

Question:	Is it possible to turn the shelves around so that the edges of the shelves have a lip
Answer:	People are saying yes, but it is designed for the shelves to have a "top" and a "bottom" so no, you cannot turn the shelves upside down. The weight of the shelve pushes down on the taper, creating a tighter "bind" with the leg. That's the design.
Question:	What is the diameter of the posts
Answer:	I don't know what diameter the other sizes are, but the 30" three tier shelf is only 3/4" diameter. I went off the previous answer when I bought three of these. Boy was I fooled when I received 3/4" poles. Smh!

Answer:	They just sit on top of each other _ a very crappy design - and you have to place a shelf here so that it hooks the top half to the bottom.

Answer:	I would place lower shelf all the way to the bottom and set trash can on it then place other shelves where you want. This would keep shelving unit stable. If you need to leave one shelf off keep it and the plastic brackets in case you want to add later.

Answer:	Yes, and you can buy a bag of sleeves here for pennies. I have about 10 sets of shelves that I’ve bought here, Walmart, Aldis. The legs are all the same diameter so I’ve been able to interchange shelves to get what I want. The only issue I’ve had is the size of the shelves. Like others have said, check your measurements. If you use the shelf liners do some comparison shopping. Wide difference in price for same thing. I also found a heavy plastic shelf liner roll I can cut to fit. It has tiny parallel ridges that require cleaning with with a nap- like terry- but glasses sitting upside down can breathe so no “bad breath”. Items can be put away still damp as the ridges allow air to move. Love these wire shelves.

Answer:	Only a small microwave. Unit isn't really sturdy enough for larger appliances.

Answer:	The poles we received with the three shelf unit were only 0.75 inches in diameter. The industrial size poles are usually a 1 inch diameter, and are not compatible with the parts we received in this unit.

Answer:	They are adjustable to your desire and needs. I have mine set part roughly about every 14-1/2 inches. That's so great about these shelves you can adjust them the way you want.if you look at the pole those lines that you see going across are actually height adjustments

Answer:	The unit comes with nylon wheels (2 locking and 2 non-locking) and 4 leveling feet. The post on these are smaller diameter, so the heavy duty casters most commonly sold for metal shelving will not fit this unit. Another option would be to purchase rubber furniture protectors to fit 3/4" poles.
Question:	Are wheel replacements available? They break easily. I would prefer some type of solid rubber wheel versus the plastic wheel which breaks apart
Answer:	If you want a beefier wheel with better weight capacity (I hated the ones this shelf came with), try "TWUN-60U-T03-BK-B" in the amazon search. With the originals that came with the unit I had trouble moving the unloaded shelf on carpet without fearing they would break. I wanted mine movable though so I did not try the regular feet which are rated a lot higher than the original wheels. (wheels are rated 50 per shelf which I think is pure horse manure since I had to baby mine while moving unloaded) I am happy to say I found some decent ones to use on the shelves with 3/4" dia. vert. poles. The description calls them "Twin Wheel Caster Solutions TWUN-60U-T03-BK-B 2.36" Diameter Nylon Wheel Unhooded Brake Caster, 1/4-20" Diameter x 1" Length Threaded Stem, 132 lb Capacity Range". ~ I have spent two days looking on and off the internet for a decent weight rating on a wheel that will fit and also be OK on my hard surface floors and still work on carpet. These were the best rated I found without having to drill and tap and all that lolly paloza (which I could have done but didn't want to). The ones I bought were kind of pricey but I wanted the extra weight capacity so I could move the shelf when it is loaded (although not with a whole lot of heavy stuff, just some office supplies) in and out of the closet for very short distances without worrying about the wheels collapsing. Honestly! they were rated higher than what I found in this smaller size threaded stem version even at 'wheel and caster' stores. The ones I purchased were listed as "bought and sold by Amazon" and they were listed as a Prime item so if your a prime member that's great. I paid $10 each but for me the weight rating and wheel material made it a perfectly desirable purchase.
Question:	Can I get heavy duty casters or wheels for this shelf
Answer:	You need to get wheels with 1/4 - 20 size thread. The regular wheels sold in most home improvement stores are made to fit the 1" poles. This shelving unit has the 3/4" poles, so the regular wheels will not fit. I have not found any heavy duty casters to fit this shelf yet. Try contacting Seville Classics website to see if they offer any heavy duty wheels for 3/4" poles. I haven't found them on their website, but I know they do have a rolling cart with heavier duty wheels and 3/4" poles, so they do make them.

Question:	Mini fridge 43.25 inches tall if I skip two bottom shelves could I put microwave on first shelve above it and the rest be used for snacks and etc
Answer:	Yes you can...just be sure to use the opaque shelf pads that comes with this unit so the foot pads of the fridge don't go through the slots on the shelves.
Question:	Is the 6 tier 1 piece or 2 separate pieces stacked on each other
Answer:	It is designed to be however many tiers you want/need up to 6. You can build to six tiers, depending on shelf heights you choose or you can build two separate shelves up to 3 tiers, again depending on the shelf heights you choose. I love the options you have with these sturdy shelves. All shelves look the same but there are small end caps to use if you choose two free standing shelf units; for one shelving unit, use the connectors you’ve been using and keep building. Note: If you adjust for more height between all shelves to accommodate your needs, you may not use all of the shelves. The space between shelves is the first thing you need to decide before you put it together but you can adjust at any time without items on the shelves. Just know that if you need to adjust height, you have to unbuild to that shelf. Not a big deal if nothing on the shelves but best to measure height of storage items and make a plan first!
Question:	Is the actual height of this shelf 59 inches? description says 5.9 - assuming that is not accurate
Answer:	I took a picture of the description but can’t post it. It definitely says 72” or 2 36” units (equals 72”) I certainly hope so because it’s what I need and am ordering. I don’t believe in false advertising.

Answer:	13.75 ish inches, allowing for the legs. If you use 14” as the guide, you’ll be all set. I really like these shelves. They are very sturdy.

Question:	Could you set this up as 2 shorter shelfs side by side
Answer:	You would need to check your rack to see in the poles unscrew in the middle. I get the impression there were different versions of these racks. If they do you need a set of 4 caps, 4 threaded inserts and 4 casters or levelers. Check your pole size too, likely either 1” or 3/4” depending on the version.

Answer:	super simple assembly. take 2 peices of the black thingies. they should have a mark saying top or a dot or something. they are conical so you snap them together on the legs. start on the near bottom of a leg on a ring and slide the cap till it snaps in place. do all 4 on the same ring, 1 level at a time.so caps, snap, shelf. the 1st shelf is the trickiest but once the second shelf is in place it has better stability. if this is not helping, try youtube.
Question:	I'm very frustrated. the plastic shelf holders are not snapping and staying closed what am i doing wrong
Answer:	I've purchased several of these and just have one more thing to add from the other comments. First, from the other comments you can gather that the pieces do not snap together with each other - they snap to the vertical poles. That's an important point left out of the instructions. Second, where most are saying hold them together and slide them down the vertical pole until they snap, you can do that but they most likely will snap in the same location, giving you same size shelves. The shelves are adjustable, so if you want different heights for each shelf, find the groove on the pole that is closest to giving you the shelf size you want. Then you can, making sure the arrow of the 2 interlocking pieces point up, just lay both pieces close to the groove and then you can slide them up or down to find the closest place to that spot where they will snap. One more thing is you need to make sure you put the shelf over the 4 poles as level as you can. Even though the pieces snap onto the pole, they can be knocked off if the shelf hits them too hard on one side or the other if you try to place it on askew. Doesn't have to be perfectly level - I did it by myself - but somewhat hitting all 4 clips at the same time and coming down over them as close to the same time as you can. The lip of the shelf has to be down in order for the shelf to slide over top of the interlocking pieces on each pole - that's what holds them together. Will not work with the lip up. I am a 60ish female with no real mechanical abilities so the first one was the hardest because the instructions left out key points. Hope this helps (I have put together about 5 or 6 of them now in my garage).

Answer:	There aren't any rubber feet. Once it is in place, you will not want to move it. Since it doesn't have any brackets to stabilize the connections of the two vertical pieces, once it's built, you won't want to try to move it or it will start to fall apart.
Question:	What is the height of the fixed, middle shelf? I need to set the bottom shelf to 25" high, so I'm trying to calculate the remaining shelf heights
Answer:	36" but if you do what I did and call edsal and order 4 MPC0409BLK Post Couplers you can set the middle shelf anywhere you would like it

Answer:	You can but if you dont have to, I wouldn't. We just moved about 4 months ago and I have four of these shelves so we had to take them apart and when you do that and go to put them back together the board cracks. However you can just buy new boards super cheap.

Professionally Engineered

Step 1

Assemble two post with one brace (see figure A). Skipping one slot from the bottom of the post, place the rivets into post with the shelf ledge facing up (see figure B). Tap lightly to seat rivets. Repeat with two post and one brace. Assemble the two post end units with two beams (see figure C). Skip one slot from the bottom of post, tap lightly to seat rivets.

Step 2

Start by adding a wood shelf to the level previously built, then continue working by adding the second level using two beams and two braces in the post slots of your desired location. Again place the rivets of the beams and braces into the post slot with the shelf ledge facing up and tap lightly to seat the rivets.

Step 3

Add a wood shelf to the previously built level, then assemble the top post to the bottom post by using four of the post couplers. place the couplers into the top of the bottom post, and the bottom of the top post and tap down to properly seat (see figure D).
