Sometimes the item(s) in the bag are squished and don't really get clean, they just get wet. Whatever will fit in a medium bag will also fit in a large bag. In a large bag the item(s) will have more than adequate room to go through a wash cycle and come out clean.

Answer:	I’m sorry I don’t know what microfiber pollution is. I’ve never heard of it but if your asking if lint can escape this bag in the washing machine then yes, it can. It’s not a fine mesh bag. If you put your hand in the bag you can clearly see your fingers.

Answer:	Yes. Odd thing, but actually works.
Question:	Is the bag itself machine washable? I.e. if there's a lingering smell from a previous wash will the bag survive being washed in a proper machine
Answer:	I don't know. Maybe on "delicate" and cold water? I was lucky and was able to rinse-and-air the bag following each use. Once home, I soaked in a 50% solution of apple cider vinegar and water, then rinsed and aired.
Question:	Can you use powdered detergent with this
Answer:	A variety of detergents have been tested in the Scrubba wash bag with success. We've found the use of liquid detergents to be more efficient due to the extra time it takes to dissolve solid detergents (powders, leaves, etc.). Using a liquid enables active suds immediately, reducing the overall time required for rubbing out a wash.We are conscious of the fact that every traveler has different priorities. For some travelers, weight is the most important factor in packing, so a single product that can perform multiple tasks is beneficial. A small dollop of 3-in-1 bodywash-shampoo-shave liquid may be used in the Scrubba wash bag and we have found this to work well in refreshing clothes.
