Answer:	I believe it can. The hanging hooks that are on it already are positioned so that it hangs horizontally. But if you positioned it on the wall in a vertical way, you could just place hanging nails at the joints. I don't see why that wouldn't work. In fact, I intend to buy another and hang it vertically behind a door.
