Answer:	The handles lock in place but a paddle lock type set up no. I can't remember if there is a hole where a paddle lock could be installed but one could drill a hole and install paddle locks on each end.

Over all we are very satisfied.

Answer:	Outside Dimensions: The tallest part is 13 1/16" X 22 3/16 X 15 3/4. However because there are dips and raised places in the shape of this bin the Inside Dimensions are different: the tallest item put in this bin can only be 11 1/8" tall for the top to close flat. Inside W -14 7/16" and L- varies 19 11/16" -17 1/2". The bin dips in to make carrying handles. I bought these specifically for a storage closet so I just put gloves, shoes, and work rags in them and they stack very nicely. I like having the lid attached so I don't lose it. They stack well and when they are empty you can stack so many in a very low area. I also like using these for storing things while traveling. Then when they are empty I don't struggle with loose lids! They work perfect for what I need them to do. I would definitely recommend them to others

An approach would be to email or telephone a rodent facility for testing animals in a university in your state and ask the people there what material their plastic rodent boxes are made of.

Answer:	I have stored up to about 60 lbs of goods in these containers and the handles have barely flexed. I would suggest a smaller container however for your purpose - much easier to carry. A well made container. There are less expensive ones available but you sacrifice quality.

Answer:	The lids are sturdy, however, I wouldn't put more than 20/25 pounds on top of them. To give you an idea, I have three containers stacked one on top of the other and each is packed to the rim with heavy winter clothing and coats. Each container is easily 20 pounds and I've had zero issues with the lids' support.

Lovell (on Amazon, under 'hanging file folders) sells a file folder box for $10 with no gasket- as do other mfgs at about the 10-14 dollar price. But the Sterlite, at 4 for $50 prime- are $12.50 each (including shipping) and with the water, dust and pest-resistant gasket - and secure locking top, seems the much greater value, for safe hanging file storage. I've used mine for years now, and I love them. Attractive see-through safe storage at a decent price. :)
