Question:	When elongated, will the rack fit a 6 inch board when hung vertically? I want it to hold elastic exercise bands in my workout room
Answer:	Not sure where the 6 inch board would come in handy. You can mount this rack on any wall just as long as you have the proper equipment, I.e using screws to mount to a concrete wall versus nails for drywall. I currently have 2 of these racks hanging in my kitchen to store and display all of my coffee cups. This rack looks and feels a little wimpy but surprisingly holds A LOT of coffee cups.

Answer:	Yes it would be sturdy enough to hang a couple beach towels on but not the whole rack worth. I bought it for baseball hats but did not care to much for it with hats they kept falling.

Answer:	At 8 inches the vertical extends to ~33 inches, and at 9 inches it becomes 36 inches. Hanging vertical requires moving one of the hanging hardware pieces, but that is relatively easy and only requires a medium size Phillips head screwdriver.
