Answer:	It folds flat...actually is shipped that way. There is a hard board that fits between the 2 sections that keeps it sturdy when in use. I think with normal use it should last quite a while. Mine is not being transported at all so I believe it will last for a long time. It is a quality piece. I was impressed, especially given how inexpensive it was compared to others I looked at. Plus it "looks" like a quality piece...looks like I paid more than I did ;) I was completely satisfied and would highly recommend it.

Answer:	I measured it with a caliper. The diameter is a little inconsistent from haner to hanger and from one part of the hanger to another, but it's roughly 3/8 of an inch or 10mm. The circumference is NOT 3/8 of an inch - whoever wrote the description got that wrong.

Answer:	I broke one open just to answer and it was difficult to break. They are technically hollow, but the hole is very small - about the size of a pipe cleaner- because the hangers are thick around the hole. Hope that makes sense. They are very durable. I hang several pair of pants on one without it bending.

Answer:	I've had these hangers for several years - so long I honestly don't remember exactly when I bought them. They are great. I use them to hang damp shirts (after a few minutes in the dryer) to finish drying, as well as to hang dry clothes in the closet. I have never had a single one break.
